08/05/2025: When ordering a beer at the pub becomes complicated, something in the place needs to be reviewed. If the tradition you want to advertise is the English one, the taps need to be reset and replaced with rotating beers: hanging scarves are not enough. Cuisine that really doesn't qualify.

08/04/2025: Every time I pass by Corso Giacomo Matteotti I stop to get one of their cups. In my opinion the best ice cream in Turin, but you have to know how to choose the flavours: every ice cream shop has its strong points. I advise you not to go for fruity flavours, although they are still very good, but rather order Belgian chocolate, meringue, gianduja, hazelnut and so on.

04/05/2025: Nice place with a history (one of the guides told us that Bicerin drink was invented here and that witter Umberto Elo visited this place regularly). Bicerin was good, even it was 8.5 eur, but the coffee wasn’t.

21/04/2025: Arrivati nel pomeriggio di oggi e accomodati nel dehors esterno, verso le 17. Viene raccolto il nostro ordine, due caffè. Poco dopo ritorna il cameriere, che ci riferisce che il locale sta per chiudere. Da un locale del genere non ci saremmo mai aspettati una tale caduta di stile, siamo rimasti attoniti.....non ci vedrà mai più.

04/05/2025: Beppe Gallina è ormai da anni una certezza per torinesi e turisti. In entrambi i locali situati a Porta Palazzo e a San Salvario si mangia pesce fresco con un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. I piatti sono casalinghi, le porzioni abbondanti e il servizio semplice ma curato. La formula all inclusive (un piatto a scelta, un bicchiere di vino, acqua e focaccia) a 17 euro è geniale. Consigliatissimo.

25/04/2025: Sono stato per una cena con la famiglia in visita a Torino. Locale molto accogliente, cucina ottima preparata in maniera espressa proprio davanti a te. Sapori sopraffini, raffinati, sembrava di avere il mare in bocca. Complimenti per la gentilezza, la cortesia e la squisitezza dei piatti serviti. Consiglierò assolutamente e tornerò senza dubbio

16/12/2024: The staff was extremely unprofessional, lacking courtesy and attention to the customer. The quality of the food was disappointing, well below expectations, with dishes that did not even remotely meet the promised standards. Furthermore, I noticed a serious lack of hygiene, which further worsened the overall experience. Not only was the quality of the service and food insufficient, but the environment also did not inspire confidence at all. Ultimately, an absolutely negative experience that I would strongly advise against to anyone.

18/05/2025: Today, Sunday, May 18, we went to Caffè San Carlo with my partner and our son, who is less than two years old. Even though the outside area was half empty, there was a line to get in. Some people passed us, but fortunately a waitress kindly let us sit. Unfortunately, once we were seated, the wait was very long. We saw several impatient customers get up and leave without even ordering. We too, after noticing that other tables that arrived later were being served before us, decided to do the same. I understand that Sunday can be a busy day, but I wonder how it is possible that a historic place in the center cannot even manage half of the available tables. With a small child, you expect a minimum of attention, not so much for a privilege, but to avoid uncomfortable situations for everyone — including the staff. But at least following the order of arrival should be the minimum. A real shame, because the location deserves a much higher level of service.

17/05/2025: Excellent old fashioned coffee bar in Piazza S. Carlo, a little expensive, but plausible in Piazza S. Carlo in the centre of Turin.

18/05/2025: My boyfriend and I sat down at 7:00 PM, at 7:25 PM the waiter took our order and at 8:20 PM, an hour later, our cutting board finally arrived, paid 16 euros, with two cold cuts and a few pieces of cheese. When I asked the waiter with the ponytail if he could check if the order had arrived in the kitchen, he didn't even let me finish speaking and arrogantly replied "the cutting boards are coming out" (it would arrive half an hour later. At least another colleague, when we asked him, responded kindly. I won't go back because the wait is not worth what we ate, and this waiter should really ask himself if working in contact with people is for him.

10/05/2025: Unfortunately I have to report a clear deterioration compared to previous experiences. The spritzes are really too pale, almost tasteless, and even the Americano we took was too shy, to the point of appearing transparent. The "high Langa" glass, paid 8 euros, arrived with a surprisingly small portion: not up to the price. The only aspect that remains is the food sector, still discreet, but overall the place seems to have lost its former luster. Guys please come to a fair compromise, otherwise you will find yourself serving only water and ice.

19/05/2025: Absolutely the best coffee in Turin, prepared with care, unloading the machine and cleaning the filter after each coffee. A family atmosphere, and at the same time, extremely professional. Spectacular desserts. Really good at everything.!!! Compliments

04/05/2025: locale caratteristico nel centro della frazione di bardonecchia ,in stile montano . pareti in pietra , soffitto travi in legno , pavimento in cotto . tavoli imbanditi con tovaglie a fiori . bella vetrata con vista sulla valle . ordinato gli gnocchi alle ortiche ma poco gustosi , anche in filetto di trota era poco interessante . buona la polenta con spezzatino . buon servizio . prezzo 45 a persona con una bottiglia di vino in 4 , dolce e caffe' . servizio al piano inferiore , piccolo ma molto pulito .
