14/07/2024: We came to this cafe looking for pasta and stopped by after the kitchen closed. The owner made every effort to fulfill our request for pasta and spontaneously made us very good pasta amatriciana and a delicious salad. So if you're looking for super friendly service and delicious food at a fair price, you've come to the right place.

13/08/2024: Impeccable service Perfect food I came here to Como and I found a wonderful place on the lake shore with truly perfect service, kind, polite and I repeat perfect, I recommend all the people who stay in Como to come and try the dishes, including food and aperitifs. Perfect I have been to many places both in Italy and abroad and no one made me feel loved and pampered, so with a few words, try it, you won't regret it. Perfect service thanks to Tony, a wonderful and kind man in every way, congratulations guys, every time I'm in Como I'll come back to you Thanks for everything, you are spectacular I recommend everyone to come to this fabulous place. 10/07/2024: A gem in Porta Venezia. The place is splendid, adorned with very particular plants and flowers, so the atmosphere is pleasant, fragrant and very refined. All the staff pampered us from start to finish, following us in the choice of cocktails and aperitifs, with absolutely spot-on proposals. The saucers are elegant, made with fresh and high quality raw materials, everything was delicious. In particular we tried the meat and fish aperitif dishes (incredible swordfish tartare!), but there are also vegetarian and vegan options. We also tried some fresh burrata with pistachio and anchovy pesto and a focaccia, excellent. The cocktails we tried were all balanced and perfect for our tastes, the barman is very good. A special thank you to Lucia, the owner, for the welcome and for the wonderful experience 😊

31/08/2024: I've stayed in so many hotels through Italy, and this has to be the worst. As a solo traveller, I am used to paying the same cost as others sharing a room. Firstly, Hotel Silvo put me in the only disabled access room in the hotel - when I booked a double room with a balcony - not the disabled room. Secondly, the drain in the shower was blocked, which I discovered while showering. This resulted in standing in disgusting drain water that pooled in the shower floor. Thirdly, as the room is for disabled access, the shower had a very minimal lip. With the water pooling in the base, it leaked all over the bathroom and out to the bedroom. Fourthly, the only powerpoint with the plug that fits the adapters, was on the floor outside the bathroom. With the water running into to bedroom, all my electronics which were charging got wet. Fifthly, I tried to call the hotel from the phone next to the bed, inly to discover, the phone was not working. Sixthly, I reported to reception the next morning, who was very nice and helpful. However, she couldn't give me another room as the hotel was fully booked. I requested a refund, as this was not the room I paid for and all the drama with the room. Reception asked her manager to which the answer was no, they offered me a free pass to go to the 10 euro beach next door. And lastly, there are no hangers to hang towels, so had to use the shower rail. As the drain is a health and safety issue, as well as not the room I booked, a refund should be expected. Absolutely would never stay here again.

18/08/2024: Hotel Silvio is in a good location, walkable to the town of Bellagio within 20 minutes. Room was clean with great view to Lake Como at a great value. Breakfast was decent enough, it could have used better quality pastry and bread. Service was ok, except for one reception person who called me out on refilling a bottle out of the freezer water offered at reception, she said that was only a welcome drink that were supposed to drink that water only at arrival, which is kinda weird given it’s tap water jug with some lemon and mint. Bedding and bathroom could be upgraded a bit. Note that the restaurant doesn’t offer dinner, just some small menu items. overall, we enjoyed it.

14/07/2024: We found ourselves here by chance, we had an aperitif with my wife, the chopping board was nice, just the right amount of food, obviously I have to try the breakfast in this place which really inspires me, but the tables are very dirty, the only flaw, the staff are very kind

25/07/2024: One of the best pizza in Livigno. Price/performance absolutely top. Service in Italian/German or English. The taste is also great and there is a lot to choose from, especially when it comes to pizzas. We recommend. A little outside of City Center but the journey is worth it.

30/05/2024: I commute and every now and then I renew my season ticket here (this bar sells Trenord) Sometimes I'm not interested in taking anything else related to the coffee shop so I just go in for the subscription, like many others. It seems like I'm doing him a personal disservice by not having a coffee: the last time the "very kind barista" cursed, saying "damn trains! I wouldn't have let you know if I had known" because she had to give me €12 change. She left my change on the table and left without saying goodbye. I don't think anyone forces them to resell and I think they get a percentage anyway. And caring for lost customers is FUNDAMENTAL to retain them and make them feel at home. Another time I went with my mother to get a coffee: the coffee tasted like dirty water and even in that case the barista was unpleasant to us. This bartender made me look bad with all the people I brought, I was ashamed to take them there. I certainly won't set foot there again.
