LESS Bar Gastronomico In Varese

Silvia's courtesy and skill in the kitchen, Andrea's promptness and kindness in the dining room, and the quiet, understated, West Coast-esque atmosphere pleasantly surprised us, so much so that we've made this bistro our go-to in Varese. With different menus for breakfast, brunch, or a business lunch, it's sure to satisfy the gastronomic curiosity of the many regulars and occasional diners at this charming establishment next to the courthouse.

Brunch at Less was nothing short of a wonderful experience: not only were the location and the food extraordinary, but the welcome was something rarely found in Varese. We can't wait to return!

I went to LESS Bar Gastronomico for brunch, intrigued by the ads on Instagram. We chose the €25 menu, consisting of: 🎃 Pumpkin, turmeric, and crispy speck plumcake 🥙 Hummus with cavolo nero, dried tomatoes, and walnut crunch on crispy toast 🥐 Savory croissant with ham and herbed goat cheese 🍌 Banana bread with fresh fruit and Greek yogurt Good quality and thoughtful pairings, overall pleasant but not memorable. The problem lies in the formula. Everything is served on a single plate, in small portions. Drinks are not included, and the price easily reaches €30 per person. For that price, I would expect a more structured and truly satisfying brunch, especially considering that there are more generous alternatives in the province at similar prices. I understand the motto "Less is More," but here, the less is in the quantity on the plate, and the more is mostly noticeable in the bill. Perhaps the principle could also be applied to the price, especially considering the location is downtown with a view of the courthouse, which certainly doesn't justify a premium price. On a positive note: the menu was easily adapted for a vegetarian friend 🌱 🚙 Parking wasn't the easiest to find, but it was Saturday morning.

I came here specifically because I had seen some of their videos on TikTok and their brunch intrigued me, and as I expected, I was very satisfied, I will definitely be back!

Very well-kept and welcoming location. I recommend the cocoa cake. Truly superb! I'll definitely be back!

The atmosphere is vibrant, welcoming, and bright. Excellent lunch options. The service is amazing!
