23/10/2023: If you want fresh seafood, this is the place. They are a fish monger during the day. In addition they have unique ideas on preparation and combinations. We were here twice on the same trip and both times were superb. The only problem was that because everything is "of the day" you might have something you love and when you return, it will probably no longer be on the menu. A "problem" worthy of a great restaurant. The entire staff is top notch with a shout out to the tiny young woman (forgot her name) who steered us to some dishes we had never tried before and loved. Everyone is friendly and professional. They even liked our dog. This is a place we will return to again. The value for money is fantastic. You need a reservation.

16/03/2024: My friend Flavio took me to Riolfo…. very good with an aperitif nothing to tease…congratulations…. Flavio is no longer my friend... go there already eaten...

08/02/2024: I had a cappuccino and a coffee, nothing to say, they were good.....but while we were at the counter the boy was preparing a hot chocolate and stirred it with a teaspoon which I put in my mouth, tasted the chocolate and then continued to mix the chocolate with the same teaspoon..... Absurd.....I'm very sorry for whoever had to consume that chocolate......

16/01/2024: Il Caffè Pasticceria Impero del gusto è tra i più antichi di Alassio. Tranquillo ed accogliente luogo di ritrovo. Qui si possono gustare gli ottimi caffè, cappuccino e la cioccolata tra i più buoni di Alassio accompagnati da una ricca varietà di ottime paste e pasticcini, tra i quali spiccano le chantilly, brioches e krapfen, biscotti, i famosi baci di Alassio, tutti sempre freschi e gustosi. Tutti i giorni era per noi un rilassante riposo dopo le belle lunghe passeggiate sul lungomare. Sia tra i tavolini fuori che anche tra quelli nell`accogliente saletta all`interno. Il tutto sempre accompagnato dalla cordiale disponibilità, cortesia, attenzione nel soddisfare i nostri desideri da parte delle gentilissime Signora Daniela e della Signora Irene, dal sempre allegro Signor Giacomo, che meritano tutti un riconoscimento personale e particolare per la loro dedizione e partecipazione. Con tanti complimenti meritatissimi al sempre sorridente Sig. Mario titolare con la bravissima e abilissima pasticciera Signora Celeste. Arrivederci a presto! Giancarlo e Augusta.

06/04/2024: Scandal ! We came for lunch… We are warned that there are only 2 dishes available...pasta... We are given 2 pieces of paper to act as a tablecloth...2 place settings...no menus with reduced prices... Finally 10 years later the waitress announces that there is only one burner available in the kitchen... we will not have to wait and eat one after the other... We ask for 2 glasses of wine because the waitress is unable to answer and still does not bring the menu! We end up eating separately… Without any attention and you have to cry to get parmesan… In short, the horror and above all a bill with a barely filled glass for 7 euros while the dishes are 8... this place is obvious theft without any display to avoid absolutely!! incompetent staff…

30/10/2023: Attesa di oltre 90 minuti per avere le 2 pizze che avevamo ordinato. Il proprietario di aveva sconsigliato le pizze per i tempi di attesa lunghi (nonostante il locale mezzo vuoto), ma noi avevamo quello in mente. Arrivate erano per di più molto salate. Il mio amico che ha ordinato un primo ha atteso ancora di più delle pizze per mangiare. Proprietario maleducato e scontroso. Cameriera palesemente alle prime armi e da sola. Non ci tornerò più

21/12/2023: Locale carino e ben gestito da giovani ragazzi a cui va dato sempre un incentivo per il modo di fare con il cliente. Cenato in alcune occasioni, bevuto un caffè od aperitivo ed utilizzato anche come cibo da asporto. In tutte occasioni la qualità resta buona. Consigliato.

07/01/2024: Siamo arrivati in quattro amici cinquantenni per una cioccolata calda alle 17:00, locale pieno al piano terra, Dua tavoli liberi al piano superiore, nessuno ci ha accolti. Quando finalmente, dopo alcuni minuti ci è venuto incontro un cameriere ci ha detto che non c'erano posti disponibili. Questa è l'accoglienza che riserva ai turisti i un locale storico di Alassio. Peccato non torneremo più, per fortuna Alassio è piena di locali più accoglienti.

21/10/2023: My rating is based on a purely negative experience referring to the takeaway service, for 3 33cl Pietra beers to take away they charged us €21!!!!!! I think 7€ /CAD. She really is a pirate. Even if we had considered returning to eat and no matter how good the pizzas may be, after something like this, we wouldn't.

13/01/2024: Very kind staff, we organized a surprise birthday on the fly with a cabaret of excellent pasta! they even put the number with the candle on it! mini bignets allow you to taste more, the almond pastries are dairy-free!

18/12/2023: What a delicacy! I leave from the other side of town to come and have breakfast here. The brioches are delicious. I have rarely found them as good in Italy. Plus an excellent brand of coffee and kindness always! Not to be missed.

04/04/2024: Historic venue in the Ligurian town, which has managed to evolve without betraying its ancient flavour. The staff are very kind, the prices are correct for those little masterpieces represented by the pastries offered: splendid to look at, excellent and sophisticated in taste. Edit April 4, 2024: Unfortunately this year's handcrafted Easter eggs were totally tasteless. The price of an artisanal product is justified only with a high level product. In this case, therefore, the egg was found to be expensive without justification. Reluctantly I have to lower the rating of the place.

The lady at the cash register perhaps needs to get down from the pedestal, she asked me for the table number and when I tried to explain what the position was, she replied haughtily that the number was marked on the table or on the note they left when they served us ! Too bad it was so windy that there was nothing left on the table! My daughter's crepes were also dry on the edges and I didn't have sugar for the coffee. 04/11/2023: Se vi capita di passare e fermarvi in questo bar, tenete in considerazione che non troverete gentilezza ed educazione, anzi, vi sentirete quasi un peso. SCONSIGLIATISSIMA la focaccia. D’altronde, in Liguria non vi aspettereste di ordinare una focaccia, e ritrovarvi a mangiare l’impasto della pizza (sono incerta sulla produzione propria), scaldato nel forno a micronde con sopra, completamente a caso, appoggiato del prosciutto cotto appena uscito dalla vaschetta di plastica. Peccato, perché il dehor è carina, ma non basta, manca la sostanza.

08/10/2023: Pessimo aperitivo. Evitare la cucina, specialmente la focaccia, scaldata nel microonde, immangiabile.

06/02/2024: Ho acquistato in vasetto di pesto per fare un regalo. Che figuraccia. Invece delle foglie pestate, all'interno era pieno di gambi sfilacciati. Mai più acquisti in questo negozio!

06/02/2024: I purchased the pesto recently expecting a quality product but when I used it I had an unpleasant surprise: it contained threads of basil stems rather than just the leaves. As for the service, I have no complaints.
