28/12/2025: The Ristorante Pizzeria Al Piacere in Rome only operates on transactional service rather than customer service. Our waiter only recognized us as soon as we put down Euros rather than give us the eye contact and recognition as paying patrons visiting their poorly rated restaurant. If this so called professional worker was tired or needed a break, he could’ve communicated to another waiter that he needed to continue our service. We asked for our check over four times-in a nearly empty restaurant only to have the same waiter sit down behind us and eat , and obliviously forget he was in charge of our section. He immediately sprung into action as soon as we put Euros down on the table for the other waiter that eventually provided us a check. This poor customer service tarnishes the reputation of any reputable or mediocre restaurant. Worse, yet the blatant inconsiderate unprofessionalism of this waiter, who is voluntarily working at this restaurant made a terrible and profound negative impact on our meal and the fine company we were enjoying together. Despite having terrible reviews, we still went to the restaurant and gave it an opportunity to demonstrate otherwise. In the future, when I see a restaurant with a barely 2 star rating, I will take into consideration the experience of others’ opinions although I prefer to form my own opinions based on my personal experience. This is the first bad review I’ve ever written and of all places on vacation abroad. Management needs to train or retrain their staff on how to treat people with respect and dignity and if that is too difficult for them, management is solely responsible for not properly navigating the responsibilities of those working there. It is apparent that Euros rather than professional is what motivates the staff members at this restaurant but to be fair this waiter obviously has no regard for his colleagues and made everyone including the restaurant look bad.

26/12/2025: Horrible place—don’t go. The food was bland and too expensive for a frozen meal. The staff was horrible. We had to ask for the check multiple times while people walked by and didn’t acknowledge us and had to wait 15 mins for it. Our waiter was rude and didn’t acknowledge us at all but then continued to ask us for tip on top of an already expensive bill.

08/11/2025: Avoid at all costs! 2 pizzas and 2 spritzes for €15 + €8 service charge €64 total.

07/11/2025: 25 euro service charge! 14 euro cutlery charge! Additional charges for unordered dishes.

06/02/2026: Coffee was ok. Food absolutely terrible. Avoid

05/02/2026: Unbelievable! The attendant (possibly the owner) asked me and my family to leave the establishment because we only ordered coffee and cake. It's a waste of humanity that people like that exist, working in customer service, especially for tourists. We received excellent service with the same order at the establishment next door.

18/07/2025: Provato per il nome Bocciato di fatto. Macedonia insapore, cortesia solo con gli habitué, prezzi da ristorante per servizio tipo fast food... Cancellato !

11/05/2025: Ho vissuto i tempi d’oro del bar Vanni ( dagli anni 60) perché nato e vissuto a via Monte Zebio. Ricordo un bar di classe e di alto livello. Oggi è la caricatura di quello che era. La nuova generazione dei Vanni hanno tentato di cavalcare le nuove generazioni , ma sono stati disarcionati.

21/12/2025: As others have said, 4.50 euros for a cappuccino. 1.50 for “service” - tourist trap to avoid at all costs.

10/12/2025: Terrible, old, dusty bar. TWO EUROS for a small bottle of water. The lady at the cashier is grumpy, not even a smile when you walk in. DON'T GO THERE.

15/11/2025: A rip-off. €5 for an espresso plus a 20% tip per drink. Inside, the place is shabby, and the waiters are incredibly rude, treating customers like cattle. We got up and left without ordering anything.

14/11/2025: Me and my partner had a pizza each 2 drinks and a bowl of chips. They charged £102 euros for the privilage . The food was ok but there are much nicer places around to eat. And im sure would be more reasonable avoid

27/01/2026: Two spritzes cost €32, not even in Monte Carlo. All this topped off with a €5 table service charge. They bring you the menu for the food, but when you ask for just an aperitif, the waiter says, "Shall we have two spritzes?" without even showing you the price. Now I understand why it was the only empty place in the area. DON'T GO THERE!

24/01/2026: Please avoid this scam restaurant. They charge you for things you didn’t even order. Terrible food and then they ask for tips at the end. Horrible place don’t come here
