10/08/2024: WORST PLACE EVER! They charge you €5 for cannoli, €10 for cannoli and coffee. They don’t even give you an official receipt but rather a small piece of paper where they manually write some prices. I asked for an official receipt and they didn’t give me one. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They charge you different prices.

06/08/2024: 3 euros for 10 grams of ice cream. I think the owner at the checkout is an older person, tired of dealing with people, grumpy and rude.

05/08/2024: The food was good, although the texture was not the most appealing. Bread on the menu was listed as 2 euros but was brought to us without ordering and they ended up charging 20 dollars for it. Service was good other than. They spoke English as well.

03/08/2024: The coffee is very good, but the service leaves much to be desired. Even though I informed about my desire to order coffee (before entering), I was treated unpleasantly, I was immediately given the bill without a word and waited until I left.

17/02/2024: Avoid even if you are starving. Old croissants and those under a certain amount do not accept cards. The owner is a stratospheric rude person: "I pay the commission on this croissant". Well, think about it, I pay VAT for this rubbish, you know Change job, great uncivilized boorish woman

27/01/2024: Today I unfortunately came across this bar, I ordered at the counter and was asked if I wanted to queue at the table without specifying that the service was separate. I ordered two croissants and two coffees and a latte. When I went to the checkout I had the unpleasant surprise regarding the bill €9:00 absurd he told me that there was the service which among other things was not displayed and clearly visible as it should be or possibly communicated at the time. I highly recommend this bar.

03/08/2024: Prezzi davvero esagerati: due semplicissime granite e un cono di gelato a due gusto €16,50. Approfittano troppo. Non ci tornerei assolutamente.

01/08/2024: Effectivement, le cadre est très joli! Je sortais de ma visite a la villa Borghèse et j'ai voulu déjeuner. Comme j'ai l'habitude de lire les commentaires des gens qui ont fait l'expérience avant moi et j'ai vu leurs notes! J'ai voulu laisser ce message pour les remercier car j'ai fait un grand retour en arrière et je ne suis pas rentré. Mon seul repas de la journée, c'est le midi et ils m'ont parrainés une mauvaise expérience 😅🙏

25/08/2024: The worst way to present Rome to tourists from around the world! Advertising the coffee at 1.20 and stealing 3.00 because we lean for 20 seconds to free the counter for tourists means stealing. You will fail.

22/08/2024: Nefasto todo, timo total. Nos han cobrado 19 euros por dos cervezas calientes, no nos han traído ni carta ni nada. Muy malas maneras y excusa de que el datáfono no funcionaba para que pagáramos en efectivo. He ido al lavabo y una señora que debía ser la dueña me ha dado un trocito de papel higiénico. Lamentable.

28/08/2024: Please DO NOT GO HERE, they scamp tourist. On the wall it says 1.3 euro for coffe but you have to pay toeristfee and end up with 10+ euro coffee

12/08/2024: Tourists - Surprised us by charging €11 for two coffees. They advertise meal and drink for around the same price if you are local.

19/08/2024: A place to absolutely avoid, 1 juice, 3 coffees, two frozen croissants €31.59. Prices visible only once seated, the waiter practically threw us two menus on the tables, almost nothing in the windows to evaluate whether to stop and eat or not. Waiter insistent on ordering even though we had specifically asked to at least see the croissants first. When asked about flavours, quick and angry response. Absurd prices + 17% table service. And receipt? I'll leave it up to you to imagine. At the bar opposite we got the same things at the price of the juice at this place

16/08/2024: We sat for ages before any one came to take our order. We only ordered 5 drinks yet when we came to pay they had added €10 for service charge, even though they had literally just put our soft drink bottles on the table. We said we didn’t want to pay the service charge and the manager was extremely rude. This is a nice setting, but not worth the horrendous cost and hidden extras.

03/09/2024: Total tourist trap. 50€ for a couple of drinks is ridiculous. Moreover, they served the coffee in dirty dishes.

03/09/2024: Unfortunately, my visit to Caffè Accademia did not meet my expectations. Starting with the prices, the €12 coffee with milk is something completely disproportionate. A place called "Caffè" is expected to offer exceptional quality coffee, but in this case, that was not the case. For that price, I expected an experience that justified the cost, and I found a coffee that wasn't worth it. Furthermore, the prices of the sweets displayed in the display case did not match at all with those that appeared on the invoice. It is disconcerting and frustrating when you are trying to enjoy a sweet moment and in the end, you realize that you have been charged more than you expected. This lack of transparency in billing leaves a bad taste in the mouth and generates distrust. To make matters worse, the service was not up to par. There was an additional charge for "service", but the attention we received was mediocre, without the slightest effort to make us feel welcome. A coffee experience should be enjoyable and relaxing, and at Caffè Accademia, that didn't happen. In short, Caffè Accademia is not a place I would recommend. Its high prices, disparity in billing and poor service make it not worth the visit. There are plenty of other options in town that offer better coffee and friendlier service at a fair price.
