24/08/2025: One star, not for the pastry, but because they don't wash the coffee machine between each coffee; in 2025, it should be given a negative rating. It costs little and makes a lot of money on the taste of the coffee.

11/01/2026: The pizzas are delicious, but if we order a "bufalina," we expect a "margherita with buffalo mozzarella"... But no. Pizza with shaved parmesan and arugula.
I even called back, and they told me this is the "bufalina." 😂😂 It takes a lot of courage to run a pizzeria.
10/01/2026: Very extensive menu. Small but very welcoming place. It's not always easy to find parking in the surrounding areas in the evening because it's a residential neighborhood, but the experience is worth the search.

11/12/2025: The staff here is incredibly unfriendly. They refuse to take orders even with five minutes left before closing, and their rude, mocking attitude toward customers is unacceptable. Worst McDonald’s service I’ve experienced.
10/12/2025: The classic McDonald's like all the others, except that here there is little space for all the customers during rush hour, even though the staff does their best to solve the problems.

24/10/2025: I'd say the "service" I received for a coffee was quite embarrassing... the wait was endless, and she even complained at the end because she saw I was upset... but I say, if you know how busy it is in the morning, having two people to serve would be the minimum, and anyway, you can't give priority to those who come in later! Rudeness is definitely not a good calling card. Instead of complaining to a customer who is rightfully waiting, they should have apologized for the wait, and maybe someone stopped. But hearing them sound annoyed when they're the ones who can't keep up with the crowd is a no-go!

A welcoming and very well-kept place.
The staff—there's no word to describe it—are attentive to every request, friendly, kind, and above all, always smiling.
The cuisine is special, with fresh seafood, and it shows in every dish the chef prepares.
A wide selection of wines, from local classics to those from beyond the region.
The bar is well-stocked with every spirit.
I recommend going because your taste buds deserve it.
22/02/2026: The atmosphere was lovely, and both terraces overlooked their respective harbors: the local harbor and the industrial port. The food was good (after a 1.5-hour wait, it tasted great!), and the antipasto platter was excellent. I didn't realize that in Italy, one of two glasses of wine could be undrinkable and the next not very good. The service was okay, not impolite, but a bit rough around the edges – perhaps the local culture has rubbed off on them.

I came in wanting a classic espresso at the counter, as per Italian tradition, but it was practically denied or made impossible/inconvenient due to the establishment's internal logic (e.g., table service only, counter not open, absurd wait times). A bar that doesn't promote coffee at the counter makes no sense. It's unfair that customers should have to pay a premium or suffer inconvenience for a basic service. I won't be returning.
21/01/2026: Beautiful, elegant bar on the Lignano seafront. The chocolate is excellent, and the sweets are just as good.

27/11/2025: Delicious and very fresh dishes... knowledgeable and very friendly staff... large interior... no reservations required... even if it's sometimes crowded, it's not noisy and it's a pleasure to have a quick meal inside... good beers available in the refrigerator at the perfect temperature.
Clean restrooms and ample space.

27/08/2025: We ate at the restaurant today, and the servers were all very attentive and friendly! It was completely packed, but everything went quickly, and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be back!
19/08/2025: Breakfast was poor. Being Italians, we prefer sweet foods, but at this hotel, breakfast was mostly savory. They had more cold cuts than sweet options. Only two types of croissants, and rarely any cakes. Service was almost nonexistent. We constantly had to alert the staff when water and cups were out.

02/01/2026: We went on the 31st for an aperitif.
We sat inside at a table. They brought us aperitifs in plastic cups, claiming they were required by mayoral decree (ordinance 150 only applies to outside the premises). The table was dirty and only a small bowl of chips was served.
Never again.

03/12/2025: A historic café in Udine. It offers excellent coffee and more. It also features refined products from various regions of Italy: nougat, panettone, chocolates, and even pasta.

08/01/2026: A historic, elegant bar in the city center. The staff is friendly, but sometimes a bit distracted. The first time we had two hot chocolates, one with mint and one regular. They were good but rather lukewarm, and the service was quick. The second time, even though the bar was almost empty, the waitress sat us down and completely forgot about us. We had to call her. The hot chocolates were always good, but always lukewarm. We'll try again.
30/12/2025: Historic café in the city center, elegant and chic! When you enter, it feels like you've stepped back in time! The sandwiches are excellent!

Listening to vinyl takes you back to beautiful times long forgotten.
Excellent beers.
Unfortunately, the decision not to have even a limited menu with chips or something to nibble on diminishes the quality of the place....

26/01/2026: Decided to drop in for a Cappuccino and a treat. The reason is this place is named after my father Harry.
Anyway, service was excellent, treat delicious, Cappuccino was wonderful. But of course we can't make a habit of it as it's a bit above our price range which we expected. Great relaxing experience.
14/12/2025: Long wait before being served, the quality of cocktails drastically lowered from last years' visit, for the price you receive half as much as you should have and the presentation is underperforming

24/11/2025: I'm not a local, and I found myself there by chance. The lady behind the counter and the gentleman who served us (I assume they're the owners) were very discreet, but they immediately put you at ease.
They even gave us two chocolates (delicious) since the day before was their 50th anniversary.
The sweets we bought: delicious 😘
It's a shame it's so far out of our way; otherwise, we'd be regulars.
04/11/2025: After several years, I returned: it was my regular stop after an hour at the pool on Saturday or Sunday mornings. Unfortunately, the pastries disappointed me (I ordered the mini Sacher, which I personally found too dry), and I must have been unlucky, but the selection was extremely limited (on a Saturday morning). Furthermore, the interior deserves a major makeover; it's still the same as it was many years ago.
