25/08/2025: A disappointment. The scallops au gratin were three half-scallops, a bit of breadcrumbs on top, and no seasoning whatsoever. The ravioli, which were supposed to have shrimp sauce, were instead filled with cherry tomatoes and zucchini (if I order one thing, I don't see why something completely different should arrive). The desserts (obviously packaged) were dry. The service was questionable; four waitresses twiddling their thumbs, the dining room with only a few tables occupied, and they couldn't even bring the dishes more or less all at once. On top of that, you had to wait forever for everything, be it a piece of bread or a coffee. The bill... exorbitantly high. There were at least three people in the dining room, two brunettes and a pseudo-blonde, one of whom spoke rather broken Italian. If the desserts are homemade, I'm Santa Claus. Besides, those were the least of the problem, since they tasted good anyway. 🤣 Anyone who had a bad experience and had the courage to write about it was in the "wrong place." Luckily, you went bankrupt, or you would have had to find new answers for the reviews.

10/07/2025: Ordered at 9:20 PM on Deliveroo. At around 11 PM, I received a notification that the order had been cancelled. I called the restaurant to explain, but they didn't answer. Shame on me.

16/03/2026: A real shame. The products served are good, the place is beautiful, but the service is subpar. The coffee spoons and drink cups are often dirty. This carelessness is unacceptable. I recommend greater customer service. Not everyone likes drinking from dirty glasses or stirring their coffee with a dirty spoon...

09/07/2026: As a Vegetarian you can’t eat there!! The only food with no Meet or fish in it are fries.The ice cream was dry there war no sauce in it and it tasted like nothing.The donuts were also dry and half frozen and the tiramisu was also bad.IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN DONT GO THERE YOU CAN ONLY EAT DRY FRIES!!!

06/07/2026: The food was awful. The hamburger was supposed to have tomato, but there wasn't any. There was very little bacon. The restroom smelled terribly. I don't recommend it.

28/06/2026: The quality of the cuisine is excellent, and the service is attentive and courteous throughout. The view of the Strait at sunset is splendid. You're willing to pay for quality.

18/06/2026: My fiancé and I recently dined at this restaurant, a unique location with a breathtaking view of the Strait. The food was excellent, though a little salty for my taste, but the flavor was still exquisite. The service was impeccable and courteous. It was truly a wonderful experience, I highly recommend it!

23/04/2026: It's getting worse. I don't know if it's the owner or the employee, but I'm having a bad time. The cake is hard and dry.

07/05/2026: I've been frequenting the Boutique every now and then for many years... Both in the morning and in the afternoon for a coffee and a pastry, or for an aperitif, and I've always had a good experience.... But if I have to make a comment, the last time I was there I didn't find the service at all good, from a new (?) barista, who barely answered (perhaps a foreigner?) and had an almost annoyed attitude.

09/04/2026: A large white chocolate Easter egg was purchased on the Thursday before Easter. After storing it as directed, it was opened on Easter Sunday and the chocolate was inedible. I'm very disappointed considering the price of €38. I'm giving it one star because it's the lowest I can get.

09/01/2026: A nice little café with a cozy atmosphere. I had a coffee with mini croissants—the coffee was really good, though the chocolate croissant was just average. Overall, it’s a pleasant place for grabbing a coffee and taking a short break.

16/12/2025: It's a pleasant environment, friendly staff, and you can find everything from focaccia and pinzas to desserts. I recommend them.

09/11/2025: A freezing pastry shop and baristas who seem to bother you as soon as you walk in. Every now and then a smile is needed.

20/09/2025: I stopped by this morning, September 19th. It was around 11:30 a.m. I wanted to get a dessert. Inside, there was only one customer who was chatting amicably with the girl handing out the bread. I approached the counter and walked past him, hoping someone would notice me, but nothing... Since I was the only customer inside, I didn't get a queue ticket. Meanwhile, I realized that the guy before me was friends with the girl serving the bread, who even wanted to give him the bread in different bags depending on the type he requested. He told her he didn't need it and that they were all for him anyway. Meanwhile, given the gratuitous chatter, the place began to fill up, and the people crowding in began taking queue numbers, sending them back to the entrance. After making every possible pleasantry to her friend, the girl serving the bread asked who was next to be served (even though I had been ahead of her for quite a while). A customer (who arrived well after me and stayed well away, near the entrance) slyly shouted, "I have the next number..." Since I was glued to the dessert display case, I calmly explained to the girl that I had been there long before and, since there was no one there, I didn't get a ticket. By now the place must have had another 5 or 6 new customers. The girl told me that in this case, she would serve those with a number first and then me... At this point, I said okay and left without buying anything. And with the certainty, moreover, of never returning to that place. I don't understand how they can let certain staff work with the public... Terrible experience, as I said, I will NEVER go back there AGAIN.

10/05/2026: Interesting experience. We sit at an empty table, then move to ANOTHER empty table because it was cold in the initial area. We order calmly, and everything seems normal. After a while, a couple sitting next to us starts talking about how "others are arriving," until we magically become 12 people in total. No reservations, no reserved tables, simply the desire to occupy the area where we were already seated. At that point, the pressure begins: first the request to move, then the second request, then the immediate announcement that we would have to leave the table to make room for the arriving group. So, apparently, the criterion now is: whoever arrives later but is more numerous wins. It doesn't matter if other customers are already seated, have already ordered, and have been there first. I also appreciated the final lesson in "kindness," obviously directed at us and not at the people who were trying to occupy tables already occupied by other customers. We left without eating, but at least we learned a new way to manage seating.

The price of a €2.50 graffa is incredibly expensive, considering the raw ingredients cost about €0.50. It's increased threefold since this summer!!! 17/10/2025: Everything was delicious, I came back here after years and the taste of the food was always perfect, but the inside of the iris was very disappointing, for what it costs, they could stuff it a little more, you have to taste the pistachio at least a little, it seemed empty 😅

05/06/2026: I've been drinking spritz in Piazza San Giacomo for many years, but this is the first time I've seen a service charge on the receipt (a mandatory 10% tip is required). Avoid.

28/06/2026: We arrived before 9:00, went to the counter, and the girl told us to go sit down and say they'd come take our order, so we did. We sat down, and after about 5 minutes, the girl came to take our order: two coffees, a cappuccino, and three croissants. After another 10 minutes of waiting (even longer), the girl came and told us that one of the croissants we wanted was no longer available, even though we'd seen it at the counter earlier. Long wait, slow staff, and in the end, you don't even get what you asked for. This is the new management, avoid it. Terrible coffee and croissants. I'm giving one star only because I can't give zero.
