15/10/2025: HYGIENE, THIS UNKNOWN (Via Gallina) I was drinking a coffee in B and I saw the lady next to me asking for the latte she'd already drunk halfway to be heated up. The bartender, without batting an eyelid, emptied it into one of the milk jugs, heated it with the spout she uses to make hot milk for all the coffees, and proceeded to calmly use that spout to make coffee for the others without even wiping it with a sponge. The sullen baristas are fine, the most expensive coffee in the neighborhood is fine, but after this DISGUSTING experience, I'll never come back.

07/08/2025: I was in Trieste (a very pretty city where I ate well everywhere) and I had the best croissant of my life. Then I had a delicious dessert whose name I can't remember.

25/11/2025: Stop for an aperitif after visiting Miramare Castle. Beautiful view of the marina.

22/11/2025: Very nice restaurant, great atmosphere. Typical Triestine dishes. Good location. Easily accessible by tram line 6 from Trieste.

The place has a lovely balance between a warm indoor corner and a more open, airy space, making it comfortable whether you want to relax quietly or enjoy a bit more light and movement around you. They offer a wide selection of sweet and savoury treats, from fresh snacks to beautifully prepared cakes, all displayed in a way that makes it hard to choose just one. I decided on a hot chocolate, and it was exactly what I needed—rich, warming, and comforting in that moment. The staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and helpful without being intrusive, which added a lot to the overall experience. Prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and atmosphere. As for the desserts, the Sacher cake was good—nicely done and enjoyable—but the real highlight for me was the krapfen filled with cream and apricot jam. It was fresh, soft, and perfectly balanced in sweetness, definitely something I would come back for.

15/08/2025: Absolutely terrible. And that’s not even mentioning the “service” – if you can call it that. The staff looked at me like I was bothering them just for coming in to have a coffee and a glass of water. The glasses were dirty, and as for the bathroom… let’s just say it made me want to throw up. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

10/08/2025: No. We're not there. There was a water leak under the customer-side bar counter, and empty boxes were left there to the left... The coffee could be reviewed, as could the organization. It's a shame because the location has potential.

01/03/2026: I'm giving one star because I've been to all the caveja restaurants in Trieste and I've always had a good experience, but this one at Torri d'Europa needs to be supervised by someone in charge because this kind of behavior from the staff is not possible. I went there a few days ago for dinner and once I arrived at 7:17 pm I was told the exact words of the guy who works there "I can't make piadina because I have to leave at 8:00 pm because I finish my shift" even though the opening hours to the public are until 8:00 pm, a service like this is not possible because if a time is written it must be guaranteed at least until 10 minutes before closing time. I was very dissatisfied and annoyed by this.

19/01/2026: I recommend it. It's reasonably priced. It always arrives at room temperature, sometimes a little too hot.

14/03/2026: Disappointing! I ordered a cake, clearly describing what I wanted (sponge cake on a biscuit base, covered in fondant). When I picked it up, I was shown a photo of the cake, which, visually, looked exactly as I requested. When I cut it, I noticed two pins (which NO ONE had warned me about) stuck to the cake, very dangerous for children who could ingest them without realizing it. The worst part was that, of the 10cm height of the cake, 8cm was PURE POLYSTYRENE (which was not mentioned when I ordered). Since the styrofoam was covered in fondant, I paid over 1kg, needlessly. Not to mention the price... €60 for 2cm of cake! I showed up to ask for an explanation. The lady simply told me, "My colleague must have forgotten to remove the pins," as if it were a normal occurrence, and without apologizing for the mistake! And worse than worst, I was told that's how they make their cakes! With Styrofoam because "they're lighter than American cakes," not even letting out a sneer. What can I say? I'll definitely never go back, given the lack of clarity and professionalism.
