28/10/2025: Be very precise with your orders (but I have a feeling that's not necessarily enough)! We sat down and ordered "two non-alcoholic drinks like Gingerino." Two expensive-looking concoctions arrive. I ask for an explanation. "Here, when they ask for non-alcoholic drinks without specifying, they mean these." I start to ask the price, intending to send them back, but the waitress pretends not to hear as she walks away. I glance at the menu on the table and under "non-alcoholic drinks" I see the usual Gingerino, Crodino, and a couple others. Totally normal. It's Sunday, sunny October, happy hour time, and I don't feel like ruining my day with an argument. I go in, pay (basically triple the price), and leave. Never again.

01/06/2025: Terrible experience, unfortunately. I had ordered a cake design cake for an important occasion, providing detailed photos and clear instructions. The result? A disappointment. 1. Wrapped cake, with no possibility of checking When I picked it up, the cake was delivered to me already wrapped in simple pastry paper, not even inserted in a normal cake box. An absurd practice: how can you take away a cake without even being able to see it first? Considering how precarious the wrapping was, I would have expected at least that I would be offered help to load it into the car. Instead, it was simply handed to me, without any attention or offer of assistance. At least a small gesture would have made the difference. 2. Nothing corresponded to what was ordered I had provided the exact photos of the cake I wanted, specifying proportions and colors. The result had nothing to do with it: completely disproportionate characters, wrong colors, overlooked details. I had also shown a similar cake made years ago to better understand... useless. 3. “Fake” cake with styrofoam I was offered a cake for 14 people, but when I cut it I discovered with great disappointment that most of the structure was made of styrofoam. In fact, the edible part was for no more than 8 people. I would have preferred more transparent communication from the beginning. Too bad, because I expected something completely different. 4. Writings printed on white office paper The most incredible thing? The writings and symbols requested were simple SHEETS of office paper printed in black and white, STICKED ONTO the cake! Not in sugar, not edible, simple A4 sheets cut out (and even a symbol was glued on backwards). Are you kidding me? It's shameful, something I could have made at home with a printer. I've never asked for something like this, never seen a cake made like this! 5. I paid for an embarrassing result Considering a price that was still high, as it should be for a designer cake, I would have expected a minimum of professionalism. Instead, I was given a cake that I don't even have the words to describe. 6. Terrible communication No willingness to discuss, no explanation, just coldness and zero assumption of responsibility. I had requested a specific designer cake and it was not made as requested. It would have been more honest to immediately communicate the impossibility of satisfying my request, instead of making me travel 4 hours for nothing. Disappointed and bitter. 7. Sincere advice: CLOSE the cake design section. The photos they publish on Facebook show beautiful cakes, but mine was a real disappointment, horrible. Old place, managed by people who are evidently not up to date either technically or in mentality. I will not return and I will not recommend it to anyone. I was shocked. It was a profound disappointment, and honestly... a shame. In conclusion, I am sorry to have to write a negative review, but when you commission a personalized cake — for an important event — you expect professionalism, care and respect for requests. In this case, I received exactly the opposite.

15/10/2025: HYGIENE, THIS UNKNOWN (Via Gallina) I was drinking a coffee in B and I saw the lady next to me asking for the latte she'd already drunk halfway to be heated up. The bartender, without batting an eyelid, emptied it into one of the milk jugs, heated it with the spout she uses to make hot milk for all the coffees, and proceeded to calmly use that spout to make coffee for the others without even wiping it with a sponge. The sullen baristas are fine, the most expensive coffee in the neighborhood is fine, but after this DISGUSTING experience, I'll never come back.

07/08/2025: I was in Trieste (a very pretty city where I ate well everywhere) and I had the best croissant of my life. Then I had a delicious dessert whose name I can't remember.

25/11/2025: Stop for an aperitif after visiting Miramare Castle. Beautiful view of the marina.

22/11/2025: Very nice restaurant, great atmosphere. Typical Triestine dishes. Good location. Easily accessible by tram line 6 from Trieste.

17/10/2025: I've been going to this piadina shop occasionally for several years. Years ago, they had hours until 10:00 PM. Then they reduced them to 9:30 PM. After a while, I went back and they told me it was too late; we close at 9:00 PM. After a while, the girl told me the last order was 8:30 PM, so I had to leave. I went back a few days later, and another girl told me it was too late; the last order was 8:20 PM. I went back a few days later at 8:00 PM and found a sign: Closed today at 4:00 PM. A few weeks later, I arrived at 7:40 PM. The girl told me it was closed. I deduced that the hours are personal, each day as the person who happens to be there wants. I got angry because I thought I was being taken for a ride. I WILL NEVER GO AGAIN. I'd give it zero stars.

23/08/2025: The new piadina in the city center

15/08/2025: Absolutely terrible. And that’s not even mentioning the “service” – if you can call it that. The staff looked at me like I was bothering them just for coming in to have a coffee and a glass of water. The glasses were dirty, and as for the bathroom… let’s just say it made me want to throw up. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.

10/08/2025: No. We're not there. There was a water leak under the customer-side bar counter, and empty boxes were left there to the left... The coffee could be reviewed, as could the organization. It's a shame because the location has potential.

18/08/2025: Decent atmosphere, in the central pedestrian area of Gorizia... the only positives! We stop for an aperitif. We wait 30 minutes for service, and order two awful Midori spritzes served with two chips, for the modest price of €14. Really? You're in St. Mark's Square, aren't you? I pay, thank you... goodbye. And then let's not complain if people go elsewhere.
