21/03/2026: Happy Days Bar in Cividale: A Chance Discovery That Doesn't Disappoint ​Sometimes the best places are found by chance, and that's exactly what happened to me today at Happy Days in Cividale. Those who know me know that I'm not easily satisfied and that I like to analyze each place to uncover its main anomalies. Well, this time the surprise was entirely positive. ​Dish Analysis: Fried Chicken Sandwich ​Since it was my first time here, the fried chicken sandwich was my test. Verdict? Very good, in fact, above average. ​The Crunch Anomaly: Fried food is often a mystery in these pubs, but here the crispiness on the outside is incredible. The special thing (the anomaly I always look for) is that, despite the fried food, the chicken inside remained juicy and flavorful. That's not something you'll ever expect. ​Total Satisfaction: It's a complete sandwich. It's not the usual bland fare that leaves you with a pit in your stomach: here, there's substance, there's structure, and every bite gives you the satisfaction you seek in a well-made treat. ​The Atmosphere and Service ​The place has that authentic pub feel that I like: no frills and lots of practicality. The staff is smart and fast, which makes the experience even more enjoyable, especially when you enter a new place and want to immediately understand what they're made of. ​The Final Verdict ​Finding a place like this by chance was a stroke of luck. Happy Days passes the test the first time with excellent marks. It's the ideal choice for those seeking quality and quantity in a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in Cividale and want a sandwich that really does its job, this is the place. ​My advice: Don't be fooled by the simple appearance. Go straight for the fried chicken sandwich: it's the positive anomaly that will have you coming back a second time.

10/01/2026: Given that the food is good everywhere in Grado, this is a 5-star restaurant. A welcoming and refined place with soft background music. A 5-star welcome from the highly qualified staff. The seafood appetizer with grilled octopus in a bean sauce was superb, the tuna tartare was immense, the ravioli filled with sea bass and sea bream fillets, with a pepper and balsamic vinegar sauce 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰, and the tagliolini with shrimp were excellent. Dessert was a fruit salad with ice cream (see photo). Special mention for the black grape bread. We will definitely be back!

09/01/2026: There were four of us for dinner. The food was excellent, everything fresh and delicious. The restaurant was very clean, and the service was super friendly and very attentive, even though the restaurant was fully booked. It's our new favorite restaurant in Grado. Good wines and an excellent grappa. We'll definitely be back. It's a bit pricey, but the quality justifies the cost. If everything stays this way, we'll definitely become regulars. Grazie

14/02/2026: This was my first time here. First of all, I appreciate the parking next to the restaurant, reserved for customers only. The atmosphere is that of a high-end trattoria: well-kept, warm, and welcoming. The variety of dishes offered is good (keeping in mind that it's not logical to expect a very extensive menu from a trattoria), with a focus on local and seasonal produce. For my appetizer, I had an off-menu item that I highly recommend: baked radicchio with horseradish, pears, and Montasio cheese! For my main course, I shared a rib-eye steak with my "colleague" of the evening: excellent meat, cooked practically perfectly. At the table, the plate was placed on a hot stone to maintain the meat's temperature: not everyone does this! Spinach and bruade were served as side dishes. All very good! I really appreciated some of the flavors that characterize the local cuisine: the spiciness of the horseradish, the acidity of the bruade. The staff is courteous and attentive. Wait times are minimal. The bill was in line with expectations, but one small point: given the size of the total, a small discount of €1.70 could have been considered just to round out the total. Recommended if you're in the area; worth a visit.

28/01/2026: Restaurant and bar in the center of Corona, Mariano del Friuli. Family-run. Specializing in game. Excellent gnocchi with wild boar ragù. Various regional wines available to accompany the dishes. Excellent homemade desserts. Good selection of digestives. Also a tobacconist, selling cigarettes and scratch cards.

22/02/2026: Once in a generation, a restaurant opens in Lignano that becomes a meeting place for residents, both for the quality of its offerings and its family atmosphere. Naturally, word spreads, and tourists also slowly come over and enjoy the food. Equally naturally, there are those who are dissatisfied because they didn't get the attention they thought they deserved, or because the portions weren't generous or the prices weren't the lowest. We thank them and invite them to look elsewhere!

21/12/2025: We ate very well, and paid a fair price. The staff was friendly and helpful; even without a reservation, they found a solution to accommodate us.

15/03/2026: Pizza ordered through Just Eat. It arrived cold, as pictured. I'm reheating it in the oven. And to top it off, it had a burnt edge. I'm sorry, but you can't do something like this! 20 euros for dinner.

16/09/2025: We found this restaurant by chance, visiting a customer who was chosen because it was on the street. It was a pleasant surprise. A Slow Food Presidium, we ate chicken liver pâté with figs and spaghetti with white duck ragù. Delicious.

16/09/2025: We stopped by chance. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and the menu offers a decent number of courses. The ingredients and preparation are top-quality. If it's on the menu, I recommend the liver pâté with figs and toasted brioche, and the rabbit. The bread and chocolate cake is excellent. The price is in line with the quality.

11/03/2026: We stopped here for a business lunch: the very friendly owner immediately puts you at ease. We ordered a pizza to share, and I have to say it was really good. Then came the risotto with basil cream, cavolo nero, and monkfish. I'm not a big fan of fish, but this was incredible. Hats off!

18/02/2026: I visited Afro on Sundays at noon. Entering this restaurant is like taking a dive into the roots of Friuli. Everything here speaks of Friuli: the staff, the dishes served, and the atmosphere. Here, you can taste Coradazzi Prosciutto sliced ​​with a flywheel slicer, a cutting system that enhances the flavor of the prosciutto like no other. You can see the slicer in the main room, all red and shiny, proudly displayed.

17/12/2025: I've been frequenting Da Afro for years. Owner Dario applies a simple yet extraordinarily effective philosophy: seasonality and quality, quality and seasonality! The menu changes practically every season, and the cuisine uses locally sourced products, crafted into never-pretentious recipes rooted in Friulian tradition (and beyond). In winter, a roaring fireplace adds to the restaurant's emotional warmth.
