23/04/2025: Erano anni che non venivo a Locri, a memoria almeno 30. Ci sono "ricapitato" per lavoro e in pausa pranzo il collega mi ha proposto di mangiare in questo bar che offre, principalmente, dolci rigorosamente locali. Sono bravi e accoglienti.

20/03/2025: few flavors of ice cream...we all got different flavors and had a hard time finishing them, not to mention whoever put sour cream on...but if it has to be like this it's better to say that you don't have it. The location is not beautiful at all and with dim lighting you can't even see the products.

10/05/2025: I have always been skeptical about this place...perhaps because before there was a historic pub from my childhood or perhaps more simply because the location is not the most sparkling...the fact is that it turned out to be a nice surprise! Four of us had dinner, some opted for the sandwich shop, others for the restaurant. What can I say satisfied in everything. Special mention to the spaghetti with seafood...I really didn't expect it...rich and delicious. If you dine here... be careful because the portions are really generous. We will definitely return without paying too much attention to the location! Excellent service.

09/05/2025: 3 of us went to the Gran Caffè SanFrancesco for an aperitif... Specifically we ordered 1 bitter, 1 crodino and 1 San Pellegrino cocktail with related rustici for each (see photo)... Everything is good and beautiful but honestly €12/person seems a little too exaggerated for what was ordered.

04/05/2025: We sat at the outside tables and consumed three granitas without cream, a small ice cream cone, two flavors and two coffees. Of course, the cost of 5 euros for a granita written on the menu is high but we had chosen to order them anyway. The granitas were very good but my review is two stars because on the bill they charged the granitas without cream at 6 Euros and the cone at 6.50 Euros as if it were an ice cream in a bowl. To our complaints, as we expected, they objected that the prices had not been updated on the menu and they deducted 4 euros from the bill that I enclose, with an unpleasant attitude, as if we were making issues for a few pennies. Going over the top of tourists' bills is not only an unwise way of managing a business, but it damages the image and tourism of the whole of Italy.

22/05/2025: Trovandoci a Crotone non sapevamo dove andare ma viste le recensioni abbiamo trovato zio Emilio. Giusto un primo alle vongole ma molto ben preparato, diverso dal solito. Le prossime volte assaggeremo altre pietanze di pesce. Consigliato, il proprietario è gentilissimo ma non invadente

21/05/2025: Super lekkere gerechten, geen menu maar de chef komt je vertellen wat de mogelijkheden zijn. Wij aten een variatie van antipasti, als primo spaghetti vongolo en mosseltjes en als secundo tonijn met pistache en zoete rode ui. Een ijsje van limoen van het huis als dessert

01/05/2025: We had been to this restaurant several times but today an experience to forget! We arrived at 1.20pm and at 3.10pm they still had to serve us the first courses even though we asked several times! They also asked to order because the kitchen would close at 2.30pm but with such slow service how could you decide for later?! Not to mention the waitress' lack of patience... We were also with a one year old girl who obviously got impatient so we decided to leave!

15/05/2025: One of the best ice cream shops in Scalea, if not the best, where you can enjoy ice cream of every flavor at reasonable prices or sitting down or for a walk enjoying the ice cream.

10/04/2025: Le pizze top! Sinceramente è il loro punto di forza. Personalmente ho preso un hamburgher, mi hanno chiesto la cottura ma questa cosa a mio modo di vedere, visto che la carne macinata (a meno che non la macinino al momento ma mi pare difficile) va cotta bene per motivi igienici sanitari poiché la proliferazione batterica nel macinato si diffonde omogeneamente a tutti i livelli. Ho ovviamente chiesto "ben cotta" ma probabilmente per cuocerla bene hanno alzato la temperatura e hanno cotto la carne velocemente poiché era veramente secca. C'era della provola dentro, ma era pochissima. Quando leggo "caciocavallo silano" mi aspetto una bella fetta, non due scaglie grattugiate e piastra te..ne rimane solo il sale. Detto ciò, ho preso anche una pizza e devo dire che lì ci sanno fare, consigliatissimo su quel versante, complimenti!
