20/05/2025: I ordered the catch of the day, and it was just as good as I hoped—fresh and full of flavor. The staff were super friendly and made the experience even better. The only thing missing was some background music to set the mood. Otherwise, everything was spot on!

20/05/2025: We were disappointed after reading the positive reviews. The greeting was not friendly, we were sat on a small table in the corner both looking at a wall. The rest of the restaurant was virtually empty but set out with larger tables. Service was unprofessional and surly. There was no explanation of the menu, and we were asked did we want the pizzeria or restaurant menu - why did we have to choose one or the other? The decor is very hard and brightly lit. The sound is echoing and we heard every word of a conversation at the other side of the room. The staff are unfriendly and don’t smile. My crab pasta was full of whole small crabs, which were inedible. My partner enjoyed his mussels and clams. Overall there was little atmosphere, the staff in the kitchen paid no notice to the customers, they were watching a screen on the pass, and let two young inexperienced individuals struggle. The food was not enjoyable. I told the waiter I wasn’t enjoying it but he just shrugged and walked away. The owners need to consider the customer experience from greeting, ambience, service and food. Edit: The rant below from the owner demonstrates how willing he is to take on feedback. Restaurants are facing tough times and need to take on feedback from customers, not berate them publicly for taking the time to make useful comments. Never mind, there are plenty of lovely restaurants in Tropea.

05/04/2025: I have been there several times and each experience is a joy for the eyes and the palate!! From the appetizer to the dessert you can perceive the goodness of the chosen raw materials, often zero km, which is an added value given the wonderful location! The variety of pitta fillings is incredibly suitable for every palate. From the simplest, which is not simple, to the most gourmet, passing through the most rustic and spicy!! All delicious!! Welcoming staff, very pleasant location!!! 100% recommended!!!!🥂

03/05/2025: L'atmosfera è morbida e rilassante, il menù è apparentemente semplice ma al contempo ricercato, la carta dei vini è varia, ci siamo affidati ai consigli del proprietario che ha scelto per noi un calice in abbinamento alle nostre portate. Il passito con i dolci homemade, in finale è stato il 🔝 di un crescendo. È un luogo da conoscere e dove tornare.

01/05/2025: Al centro di Cittanova locale accogliente ....abbiamo provato dagli antipasti al dolce..tutto ottimo.. il personale gentilissimo attento al cliente ....ci hanno accontentato in tutto.... sicuramente ci torneremo ...vi consiglio di provarlo

The staff is friendly and attentive, the food is excellent, the prices are reasonable, a good selection of interesting wines 👍 Giuseppe organized instantly in 10 minutes for us to buy a local delicacy (dried fish) to take with us! 07/05/2025: Primo maggio a zonzo sulla costa ionica e alla disperata ricerca di un locale dove pranzare . Tutto chiuso o al limite pieno . Passiamo davanti a questa trattoria aperta e proviamo . Fanno un menù completo per la festa a 30 euro ma noi abbiamo fretta e ci accontenteremmo di un primo veloce . Sono gentili e ci preparano un tavolino che si è appena liberato . Prendiamo il doppio assaggio dei primi previsti dal menu odierno , maccheroni con salsiccia di maiale e strozzapreti con zucchine e pancetta ( credo ) , con una bella bottigliona di acqua fresca . Sono persino rapidi nel servizio , nonostante il locale sia pieno . Buoni anche i cibi . La sorpresa al momento del conto quando ci fanno pagare in tutto 17 euro ! . Che dire ? Grazie ancora .

07/05/2025: First of May wandering around the Ionian coast and desperately looking for a place to have lunch. Everything closed or almost full. We pass by this open restaurant and give it a try. They have a complete menu for the party for 30 euros but we are in a hurry and would be happy with a quick first course. They are kind and prepare a table for us that has just become available. We take a double taste of the first courses on today's menu, macaroni with pork sausage and strozzapreti with courgettes and bacon (I think), with a nice big bottle of fresh water. They are even quick with their service, even though the place is full. The food is also good. The surprise when we got the bill when they charged us a total of 17 euros! . What can I say? Thanks again.
