07/09/2025: Exceptional ice cream! So natural, so fresh, simply perfect. It's rare to find an ice cream parlor where both the sorbet and the ice cream are perfect. Here we have one. Probably the best ice cream I've ever had!!!

23/06/2025: Didn’t even try the food, I believe it’s good no doubt. But the atmosphere from the waiters, to be specific the tall skinny dude with glasses. That dude got mad because I lifted my hand when I called him, and asked him to come so I can ask him face to face something about the menu. He didn’t came even tho he looked at me, and crossed our table couple of times. No response, then the other waiter came a girl and was nice. But me and my girl didn’t like the emptiness inside and weird energy we got so we got up and left. Didn’t order anything, just looked at the menu for 10/15min inside. Then when we got up to leave. That dude, called up on me while we were leaving and said stuff like, where are you going, you looked at the menu outside, why did you even sit. Then when I started explaining myself with literally one sentence. He interrupted me and said why do you lift your hand when you call me. Bro like mind your business … then he started to be even louder and told me people are waiting outside to sit inside. Just to clarify the room we were inside had 4 more tables with nobody sitting, also other rooms with free tables. Outside the restaurant maybe 8/12 people were waiting, but they were waiting to sit outside… Id very much like that dude to mind his own business and act like a waiter who needs to sell the italian story and be polite. I hope the owner reeds this.

21/06/2025: It was the jazz music that drew us into this restaurant. And it was a great idea! The interior is cozy, with a few tables, and the staff is adorable. We can't even mention the menu. We LOVED IT! A truffle pasta dish—how can I put it? Delicious! One of the best Parmigiano cheeses we've ever eaten. That's saying something. Everything is refined, flavorful, and delicate. We finished with a deconstructed but incredible Canolo (Sicilian dessert). In short, a wonderful evening 😋

27/08/2025: Very good pizzeria! We ate both lunch and dinner. The portions were generous and of high quality. The pizzas (thin crust) were very good. For four of us, we spent €55 for lunch and €65.50 for dinner, so great prices! Lunch: pasta and chickpeas, salad, pasta with tomato sauce, hamburger and fries, 1 liter of water, two coffees Dinner: 4 pizzas, craft beer, Coke, 2 teas, 1 French fry, and two coffees. The staff was very friendly both times; in fact, for dinner (we hadn't booked), they even managed to find us a table. Thank you so much and best regards from the "Pokémon" family 😉 P.S. Watch out for the spicy oil...it's really spicy 😬

10/09/2025: The food here is fantastic and a very reasonable price. Service was friendly without being “tourist style friendly” and the restaurant interior is lovely (contemporary). We loved it!

06/09/2025: Nice, historic location. We had some desserts, but they weren't that impressive. The price was above average, so you expect to get above average food. That wasn't the case. Tasteless and colorless. I don't think I'd return...

05/08/2025: This review is exclusively for the della monaca, but that's enough to deserve 5 stars. The lightest Chantilly cream enhances the slightly moist dough, while the more intense pastry cream blends perfectly. Definitely among the best I've tasted in all of Lucania (and the surrounding area). Courtesy and an elegant atmosphere complement a delightful experience here in Matera.

10/09/2025: I had a sandwich, and the bread was industrial. Given the location, I would have expected something made with artisanal bread. The service was slow.

08/09/2025: When paying, they only give you a bill for the total amount, without itemizing the items. The amount seemed suspicious to me, so I asked for a breakdown. It was provided to me, but each item was only listed as a drink/food. With four people, it's hard to check. Still, I found it suspicious and asked for a check. Mistakes can happen, no problem. But the owner immediately raised her voice at me and made me look like an annoying tourist in front of the whole restaurant. Incredibly arrogant. I still asked for an explanation, and I had to listen to unbelievable things before another colleague got involved. She acknowledged the mistake, apologized, and refunded the difference. Even so, the prices are listed inaccurately (e.g., we paid €4 for a hot dog, but the price on the menu is different). A trap for tourists. Avoid and don't go there!

07/07/2025: Best place in all of Matera for an excellent vegan breakfast/snack. Various options including croissants to be filled on the spot, braids with jam and walnuts, tiles with chocolate cream, all produced on site. Excellent coffee and cappuccino with vegetable drink. My favorite place for a sweet break. The owners are always kind and polite. Something not to be taken for granted. I highly recommend.

25/08/2025: Very nice place, but the morning we sat down to order two spritzes (they don't even bring you a peanut for the 7 euros per person), we ordered a bruschetta of the day (another 7 euros) and it arrived completely burnt... served by a girl who... probably that's not her job, not a smile and very little availability. I hated writing this review, but certain situations need to be highlighted so we can improve.

20/07/2025: It was an excellent lunch; we ate on the terrace, which has a beautiful view. The dishes were good, especially the peppered mussels and the first course (strascinati with sausage, Matera bread, and crusco peppers on a caciocavallo cream that was out of this world). The ingredients seemed high-quality. My only complaint: the service was a bit slow. Good value (also considering the very central location).

13/07/2025: I returned to Kappador after some time away, and I can say that the experience was even better than I remembered. We dined on the terrace with a view, in a truly enchanting atmosphere. Everything was impeccable: attentive service, carefully prepared and flavorful dishes, quality ingredients, and a presentation that demonstrates care and passion. I found a place that had grown, improved in every detail, without losing its distinctive authenticity. An evening with friends that turned into an experience to remember. Congratulations!
