10/12/2024: Menu set on typical Matera dishes and with great difficulty it is possible to make variations. Good quality raw material. A little too long of a wait to order the dishes and between one dish and another, even if the staff made up for the shortcoming with friendliness and smiles which are always a pleasure. An anomaly on the menu is naming a chocolate cake with eggnog Tiramisu Extra (for a Treviso it's a sacrilege even if it was good)! Modern space on a mezzanine just outside the Sassi of Matera, clean and well looked after. The "bill" was a little more expensive than expected but affordable.

11/11/2024: Having arrived on Sunday, now after 2pm, they very kindly reserved a table for us in a refined, modern and welcoming place. There were three of us, we shared two starters and then each opted for a first course. The meal was accompanied by a glass of excellent Aglianico del Vulture. The quality of the food was high, the dishes were presented in an expertly elegant way. The selection of cheeses is excellent, the dishes halfway between modernity and tradition. The menu indicates foods that are not suitable for those who are intolerant or allergic. Correct value for money. Definitely recommended.

16/11/2024: One of the places where you eat very well, the service is perfect, the staff is kind and hospitable, the environment is welcoming. I recommend it as a must-see in Maratea

14/11/2024: We got good local food quickly with awesome service. Teenagers loved to choose their ice creams as dessert. It is also open all year round. Local center point.

08/08/2024: Best restaurant in Puglia. The superb negroni. The incredibly good vitello tonato. The orecchiette with sausage and tomato, the taste is just top notch. Kind and efficient service. Tiramisu good and not too sweet Served with originality! Come without hesitation!

06/08/2024: Excellent ambience and view. Slightly more upscale but with reasonable prices. We sat outside and enjoyed the cave views. Had the orecchiette ragu pasta but many people come later for drinks/cigar as well. Service was excellent, very professional wait staff who had proper training and it shows!

23/08/2023: Mid-August 2023 or so. Beautiful and unexpected evening at the Antiche Volte di Laurenzana. An internal and external medieval setting worthy of a good arthouse film and an intensely engaging atmosphere that has nothing to envy of more noble situations and places. Another feature, which to define as excellent would be an understatement, is the choice of wines suggested by the owner, who manages to provide unexpected and exquisite combinations with creative and tasty dishes. And finally, and above all, the kindness of Pietro who accompanies you in a serene and relaxing break. We conclude with a positive (perhaps more prosaic but not secondary) reflection on good value for money, which has often become a mirage in this society of fugitives.

22/08/2023: Ci siamo stati per un aperitivo,c’è da dire che l’aperol spritz non è fatto con l’aperol,ma con un equivalente di basso valore,egualmente per una coca cola a mio figlio, ma credo si tratti di bevande da discount.Peccato perché il posto è davvero carino potrebbero dare lo slancio attirando turisti anche di paesi vicini.

30/11/2024: Siamo stati qui in 6. Terrazza bellissima con vista pazzesca. Staff gentilissimo, ci hanno dato anche delle coperte per il freddo e poi spostati vicino ai funghi riscaldanti. Io ho preso una cioccolata calda con dei biscottini buonissimi che ci hanno offerto, gli altri hanno preso del vino e aperitivo. Stranamente nonostante fosse il ponte dell 8 dicembre eravamo solo noi. Prezzi anche bassi per ciò che offre (es. cioccolata 5€). La consiglio assolutamente!

30/10/2024: Das ist ein Top Restaurant. Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Manager Vito leitete uns durch einen genussvollen Abend. Dieses Restaurant ist wirklich eine Empfehlung!!!

28/10/2024: Vorremmo complimentarci con lo chef e la sua brigata di cucina ,per lo splendido pranzo che ci ha servito,in occasione di un evento in loco.Esaltando il gusto e le tradizioni lucane ,con materie prime di qualità .Ottimo agriturismo immerso nel verde ,per chi vuole ritagliarsi momenti di puro relax.

19/10/2024: Sehr gutes Essen in traditionellem Ambiente. Die abgeschiede Lage in einem großen Buchenwald ist ein weiteres Plus. Sehr freundliche Bewirtung. Kommen gerne wieder.

27/08/2024: Very courteous and friendly staff. Requests always satisfied with great ease. Excellent cuisine and some dishes are found in local cuisine. Eating on the terrace, with that view of the stones, is priceless. At the end of dinner, to finish, visit the cellar with photos and historical finds of the place.

26/08/2024: We hadn't booked and they rightly had to give us a table out of the way. Then due to cancellation of a reservation They gave us a table in the front row (very kind they could have cared and instead..), therefore a table with a view. Very kind, smiling and friendly waiters, I can only give a positive comment. Excellent food.

29/07/2024: Small but very welcoming pub, the staff is friendly and approachable. Excellent service, and equally good quality of food, in particular I tried the "Ultimo" sandwich and I almost struggled to finish it. Excellent choice of beers. Good price for what it offers. Advised

25/11/2024: Una location meravigliosa in una delle più belle piazze di Matera, nel sasso Caveoso. Cibo tradizionale preparato in modo eccellente da Filomena, la cuoca che ha preso da sua madre piatti e ingredienti e li ha trasformati in pietanze gourmand. Assolutamente da provare. Grazia B.

27/08/2024: I don't think I have ever been welcomed in such a warm and courteous way as by Eliseo in Girulà. Excellent quality food and generous portions! In particular the house cavatelli were truly exceptional :) I hope to return to Rotonda soon and dine at Eliseo again!
