23/06/2025: Didn’t even try the food, I believe it’s good no doubt. But the atmosphere from the waiters, to be specific the tall skinny dude with glasses. That dude got mad because I lifted my hand when I called him, and asked him to come so I can ask him face to face something about the menu. He didn’t came even tho he looked at me, and crossed our table couple of times. No response, then the other waiter came a girl and was nice. But me and my girl didn’t like the emptiness inside and weird energy we got so we got up and left. Didn’t order anything, just looked at the menu for 10/15min inside. Then when we got up to leave. That dude, called up on me while we were leaving and said stuff like, where are you going, you looked at the menu outside, why did you even sit. Then when I started explaining myself with literally one sentence. He interrupted me and said why do you lift your hand when you call me. Bro like mind your business … then he started to be even louder and told me people are waiting outside to sit inside. Just to clarify the room we were inside had 4 more tables with nobody sitting, also other rooms with free tables. Outside the restaurant maybe 8/12 people were waiting, but they were waiting to sit outside… Id very much like that dude to mind his own business and act like a waiter who needs to sell the italian story and be polite. I hope the owner reeds this.

21/06/2025: It was the jazz music that drew us into this restaurant. And it was a great idea! The interior is cozy, with a few tables, and the staff is adorable. We can't even mention the menu. We LOVED IT! A truffle pasta dish—how can I put it? Delicious! One of the best Parmigiano cheeses we've ever eaten. That's saying something. Everything is refined, flavorful, and delicate. We finished with a deconstructed but incredible Canolo (Sicilian dessert). In short, a wonderful evening 😋

Antonella and Gino offer delicious gelato and wonderful aperitivi along with great menu items. And it is their hospitality and relaxed atmosphere that makes La Caffetteria our regular bar in this beautiful town.

03/05/2025: Piccola attività a pochissimi passi dalla spiaggia, ottimo per colazione, pranzo, merende o solo per una pausa caffè .Non ha posti a sedere all'interno ma solo all'esterno. Vasta scelta di focacce che, nonostante alla vista possano apparire troppo alte, risultano poi croccanti, leggere e digeribili. Anche i panzerotti sono squisiti. Il proprietario è instancabile, sforna a tutto andare. Prezzi più che onesti.

29/04/2025: A nice girl at the counter made us a good cappuccino. The cream cannoli are very good and voluminous. As a bar / pastry shop I can recommend it. I haven't tried it as a rotisserie, but the panzerotti looked appetizing and at a good price.

04/06/2025: Good food but very slow service. The downside is that, considering we ordered the house wine, we received various glasses of poor quality and no wine was served. The dessert took so long that there was no choice left. In short, there are better options in Matera, like Scipipi.
