20/08/2025: There are no issues with the food, but be careful at the cash register. Instead of 6 euros, they took 246 euros from our card. They didn't want to return the money until I started arguing. It's a shame that they think they can cheat

20/07/2025: We came upon this cafe when coming down from the walls at Santa Maria gate. We sat inside as it was air conditioned. My husband had a slice of pizza, which had plenty of topping on it and I had a sfoglia crema which was delicious. We both had a bottle of water and felt it was really good value at less than €7, especially as we had paid €7 for 2 coffees by the cathedral earlier!

24/06/2025: È stato veramente vergognoso, io faccio questo lavoro, di barista, da molti anni....ma mai mi sarei sognata di dover pagare un succo di pompelmo versato da un cartone del supermercato,per giunta a fine,euro 3,50 .

01/06/2025: We had breakfast on the terrace. There were 7 of us. The service was quick. The homemade orange juice and the coffee were excellent. The pastries were also very good. The waitresses were very kind and the prices were reasonable.

10/06/2025: It's not the first time I've been to Ambrosia, but this time it's already the second time it's disappointed me. I ordered two sgabei to take away and as soon as I took them they were cold as if they had been there for an hour or at least not made at the moment. It's not for anything else, but paying and finding cold sgabei didn't go down well with me. Once they were much better now they were rubbery and difficult to chew on top of being cold. I didn't like it at all.

09/05/2025: Average pizzeria but service not up to par: several times when I ordered pizza I arrived at the appointed time to pay for it and take it away and inevitably they were always about to put it in the oven at that moment. If it happened on a Saturday night I can understand but even midweek days are not good. If a time is agreed upon, it must be respected.

01/05/2025: A fixed point when I'm out and about and don't feel like cooking. At the Biga pizzeria I tasted all the offerings. Pizza, loaf, shirt. I change every time, but the loaf and shirt remain my favourites, for a bit of a change. Crispy pasta and not at all "choppy" as is now fashionable in the city and in the vicinity of La Biga itself. Always fresh ingredients. Fast and friendly service in a quiet area just outside the centre. Absolutely recommended!

09/06/2025: All the positive reviews are correct! The gluten-free pizza is REALLY good, the normal pizza also! Thin crust, tasty tomatosauce. Very friendly service. We could sit outside, but when there is no space, there is a very nice park in front of the restaurant! Highly recommended.

08/08/2025: Great meat, cheese, wine and sandwich shop in Ortesei. Very friendly staff that explains the difference between the products. Can get sandwiches and a cheese and meat plate to sample the local delicacies.

04/07/2025: The place is clean, well organized and very well stocked. The baked goods and pizza are really to be appreciated, with an attention to the Ferrarese tradition that is increasingly rare nowadays. The only shame is the prices, a little above average. As for the coffee shop, there is room for improvement: the coffee is not convincing and the pastries are not particularly good. The staff, perhaps also due to their age, sometimes appears tired and not very inclined to dialogue with the customer, arriving in certain situations to be not very friendly. Despite this, it is a place to recommend. In fact, it remains one of the few places in Ferrara that consistently carries on the tradition of local bread making.

14/06/2025: One of the best bakeries in Ferrara. Wide variety of bread, various types of coppia ferrarese, Grissini pizzas, pizzette, pinzoni. Worth the stop

08/07/2025: Bar Aquarius has now become a Sunday habit. I go there every week. The place is large, with an outdoor seating area if the weather's nice. Vegan croissants are always available (and delicious!), and there are also a few newspapers to browse while sipping a coffee. The decor is a bit dated, but that's precisely what gives it a certain charm. It's not your typical trendy bar, and maybe that's also why I like it: it's unpretentious.

21/01/2025: Incredibly improved by the renovation, truly beautiful surroundings, of which I will add photos soon, full of light, colours, cleanliness. Excellent service, always very courteous, and plentiful and good bee. Definitely worth trying again, perhaps with a group of friends. Great work 💪🏻
