25/08/2025: On our last day of vacation, we decided to have breakfast at Bar Monviso, since we hadn't been able to the previous days due to hiking and tiredness, and it seemed like a nice place to try! The staff weren't smiling, but they were young and we figured they needed to grow up. We ordered two cappuccinos and two croissants, filled with cream on the spot. The cappuccino was lukewarm 🤐 and the croissants, probably from the day before, tasted and had the same texture as packaged ones. For almost 7 euros, you could do so much better. What a shame! 🤨

But if I think that in a place with a name like yours, your cashier prevents me from using the restroom, what a shame... Tell him to be more humble in life because one day you may need a restroom, since being a girl, your needs are many. Thank you, and give her some education.

08/06/2025: We were attracted here by the good reviews and the location of the place near Villa Panza. For lunch there is not much choice, there are 3 alternatives for a savoury brunch, 2 sweet. I had vegetable meatballs, passable with a side of courgettes. My husband had avocado toast with a side of potatoes. For dessert two pancakes with jam, very disappointing. The bill is a little expensive.

14/07/2025: I'm sick of hearing the negative comments moaning. Of course, it's not super cheap, and of course, the food is good elsewhere too. And it's not a beach bar where you just walk in, sit down, and order a Coke (most of the negative comments are based on this misunderstanding). It's a classic dining restaurant that requires a reservation and a corresponding order of dishes, and where you pay for pane e coperto, even if you haven't eaten much. But anyone who comes here in the evening and sits on the terrace overlooking the sea, watching the sun go down, drinking a good white wine, and eating the bigoli in cassopipa, is very close to seventh heaven—but only if they haven't had an appetizer and have someone else with them ;-), otherwise, it's impossible. What's amazing to me is that despite this tourist hotspot character, the food is still very good, and the service is friendly and attentive. Update 5/25: We were here with a group of 10 friends (with a reservation, of course), agreed on a small menu for the whole group with the waiter (mixed fish and seafood appetizer, bigoli in cassopipa, dessert) and were more than satisfied with both the food and the price we paid.

06/07/2025: An absolute gem by the sea! The food was absolutely amazing – every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The house white wine (Friulano) exceeded expectations and paired perfectly with the seafood. Great atmosphere, attentive service, and fair prices. If you’re in Trieste, do not skip this place – it’s a true local treasure!

20/08/2025: An hour's wait between the appetizer and the main course. Extremely high temperatures on the patio. No, especially when the prices are in line with those of the area (medium/high). It's not a diner; customers should be pampered and treated with respect. The food? The appetizers were good, the fried calamari cooked in used oil. And don't tell me that it's the busiest time of year so this is normal. No.

30/07/2025: Two 0.30-euro peppers and a toasted sandwich for €13 I thought I was at the airport, but instead I was sitting in the middle of a parking lot. The outside was also very nice, and the guy who served us was very polite and pleasant. But after this little story, we'll see each other again in the month of never!!

09/08/2025: This multifaceted establishment combines a café, a pastry shop, a shop selling their products, and a small restaurant. The airy atmosphere, with large windows overlooking the garden, makes you forget you're in an industrial area. The vegan brioches are excellent, and the barley is delicious. We also stocked up on sweet treats while passing by the shop.

02/08/2025: I went on a Saturday afternoon. The place is very nice, but the staff was rude and never bothered to come to our table to take our orders. After waiting 15 minutes with repeated requests for at least the menu, no one showed up, and we left disappointed.
