12/03/2025: The best craft beers in bottles and on tap in Lucca, a small place with few seats but in a top place, Lucca's nightlife is here in the evening!

08/02/2025: Point of reference for a beer! Small place but with a wide selection of Italian craft beers. It only serves beer and a few chips, the taps are constantly rotating. The owners are passionate and connoisseurs of beer, the staff is also smart and friendly. Well I got thirsty 🍻.

11/07/2025: A very nice place in the city center, with good background music and an excellent sandwich. I chose Civico because I wanted to try something typical of the area, and I was thrilled with the balance of flavors I found. Highly recommended.

10/07/2025: I've been here many times since I was a kid, but even though the years have passed, everything has remained the same. I was here for dinner. The waiter was kind and friendly. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We had two sandwiches, cheese fries, a Coke, and a beer. Everything arrived very quickly. The dishes were delicious. The price was right: 30 euros for two of us. Everything was perfect.

25/05/2025: I had never had a burger with a cold bun, luckily, the burger was lukewarm or had become so in contact with the bread. The meatballs were lukewarm and dry. In short, there was nothing warm, not even the environment.

17/07/2025: Very nice food. "home made food" style, natural and tasty 😍 I also loved the possibility to combine different foods for my lunch as they are paid at the cashier by weight.

10/07/2025: Very good homemade Italian food. The gentleman prepares it right in front of you. Excellent lasagna and ravioli, better than in most restaurants. The prices are expensive (€10 per slice), but compared to those in restaurants, it's worth it!

02/07/2025: As a restaurateur, I know what it means to manage a sudden change in a reservation: we started with a table of 10 and arrived with 22, all communicated promptly as the diners were added... and I fully understand the discomfort that a situation like this can create. Precisely to facilitate the service and allow for smooth management, we ourselves proposed a single menu for everyone. Since the diners were coming from different parts of Italy, and we spared no expense... we wanted to offer them a taste of the local cuisine, perhaps with a selection of appetizers, a couple of first courses and a typical second course. Instead, with an attitude not inclined to discussion and almost annoyed, we were forced to choose a menu consisting of an appetizer and a mixed grill. No real openness to dialogue, no alternative proposal. We let it slide - there was no point in arguing. The food? Excellent, nothing to say. The location? Simply wonderful. But let me say, with all understanding and respect between colleagues: a smile costs nothing, and it makes all the difference. Welcoming with courtesy, especially large groups, is a fundamental part of hospitality. Even the best cuisine loses part of its value if the person serving it seems almost disturbed by our presence. With a little more empathy and human warmth, the experience would have been truly perfect

25/06/2025: A pleasant surprise. The service is professional and fast, and the cuisine is simple but well-executed. My risotto allo scoglio was rich in seafood and well-seasoned. Fish isn't easy to find in Tuscany, and here you can have the first and second courses made with fish! The rum baba was very good. I'll be back!

16/07/2025: 🎉 5-star review (plus one!) For my 40th birthday, I chose Bar Gran Caffè San Francesco, and I couldn't have made a better choice! They made me a spectacular fruit cake, a large cream baba with fruit, and a simply magnificent chocolate profiterole. All the products are handcrafted with fresh, top-quality ingredients, and you can taste it in every bite. The attention to detail, the deliciousness of the desserts, and the courtesy of the staff make this place truly special. If you try them once, you'll definitely come back! I'm giving them 5 stars only because I can't give them more... but they deserve at least one more for their dedication and professionalism. Highly recommended! 👏👏👏

28/06/2025: Absolutely negative review due to the rudeness of some of the staff. Nothing to say about the goodness of the food, but it hurts to highlight more than one personally negative experience with the staff. Rude and impolite responses. It is shameful to even think of treating the customer in this way. If in the past I turned a blind eye, this time I say that you have definitely lost a customer. Not recommended.

11/04/2025: Everything is perfect, the pizzas are super good, the service is great with a smile and patience in the face of language barriers. I highly recommend “The French”!!
