09/09/2025: A true gem in the suburbs of Florence. Beautiful decor and the food was delicious. A mix of Lankan food and Italian. I asked for authentic Lankan taste and they made it so. The waitress was also very lovely. It was a great evening overall. I will be back if I return to Florence.

18/04/2025: Luogo intimo e pulito, curato nel dettaglio anche se da fuori non si direbbe. Abbiamo chiesto delle opzioni vegane che sono state subito accolte con ricette originali srilankesi molto buone, ben presentate, e moderatamente speziate. I titolari super carini e accoglienti, all'ingresso ci siamo messe a ballare al suono della musica (era il mio compleanno ed erevamo le uniche clienti in sala). Al dolce (buonissimo e sempre cingalese) ci hanno spento le luci e aiutato con le candele. Scelta bevande da rivedere (sopratutto la lista dei vini) sia nell'offerta che nel prezzo. Consigliato per occasioni speciali!

21/08/2025: The food is really delicious! I had vegan parmigiana, and my friends had salmon gnocchi and spaghetti Bolognese. Everything was amazing.

17/01/2025: We went to this restaurant for our anniversary, and I have to say, everything was perfect! The location is fantastic, on the sixth floor of the Westin Excelsior Hotel, where the 360° view of Florence offers a breathtaking panorama! Refined, top-quality cuisine. Impeccable service and extremely friendly staff. At the end of the dinner, they brought us pastries with "Happy Anniversary" written on them, which we really appreciated! It's not an "everyday" restaurant, but it's definitely one of those places I recommend trying at least once in your life!

13/07/2025: I was invited to my friend Piero's birthday party, and my family and I, who had come from Palermo on vacation to Tuscany, ate an excellent pizza. We left satisfied. There were a lot of us, and the wait was long. The pizza was huge and thin, making it easy to slice. The staff was extremely kind and remembered every detail, even though there were over 30 of us. A good pizza for those who want to fill up and spend less. One small flaw: the pizza is a little too thin, and the flavor doesn't last long afterward. All in all, it was a great experience.

26/10/2025: Such a good find! Great place to spot for aperitivo and to relax after walking around Florence. Have been here on multiple occasions when in Florence. Cutest wine window for takeaway or to dine in. The patio is exquisite and the music is always good. Chicken Karage is a stray from Italian food but sooo worth it!

30/09/2025: For coffee, they tell you it's inside. But they don't tell you there's no table service. Inside, the free tables were uncleaned and dirty, including ours. A waiter cleared all the tables except ours and, aside from that, didn't tell us they weren't serving tables. After waiting long enough, we left. And that's when they see you're annoyed and tell you they're not serving tables. But when they clean the empty ones, except for ours, and at least mention that you have to order at the bar, nothing. Arrogant, pretentious, unprofessional. Poor service, not to the customer, but to the people.

09/11/2025: This place has completely changed since the COVID era. Years ago it was worth going, now it's not, both for the type of music and the age group. But then over the phone they can't give you any explanation, and more importantly, they tell you the exact opposite.

06/11/2025: Otel offers several evenings throughout the week, but I especially know it for Sundays, when the venue transforms into a hub for Latin American lovers in Florence. Salsa and bachata nights are where it really shines. The venue is large, spacious, and well-organized, perfect for dancing without feeling cramped. Before the evening begins, there are almost always short salsa or bachata workshops, a great way to warm up, learn something new, or simply break the ice. The music selection on Sundays is always well-curated, with a good balance of salsa and bachata that keeps the energy high throughout the evening. The atmosphere is welcoming and diverse, with people coming both to dance and simply to enjoy a different kind of evening in good company. The bar service is excellent, and the prices are in line with the type of venue. A plus is the option to spend the entire evening in the same complex: you can have a simple and informal dinner at Terrazza Martini, right above the Otel, and then head downstairs to continue the music and dancing. Very convenient and without having to move. Overall, the Otel's Latin Sunday is an excellent choice for those who want to end the week with an evening full of rhythm, movement, and energy. 💃🕺🔥 Recommended for Sunday salsa and bachata lovers.
