16/01/2026: How can any restaurant stand out in the wealth of wonderful dining venues in Florence? Well, Il Barretto can. The restaurant is charming, and the host and staff are wonderful, but then you are served such absolutely delicious food, and you say, "I think that we made a good choice here." It is as though every meal is prepared by someone's mother. Just stunning. Also, the wine paired so well. I cannot speak highly enough of the atmosphere, the service, and the exceptional food. The location of the restaurant is perfect for a pre-cocktail at Uggi or other venues. If I were you, I would go out of my way to dine at Il Barretto.
16/01/2026: Great dining experience across the board! The atmosphere is remarkable -- elegant but effortlessly comfortable. We split a Burrata as a starter, and it was deeply flavorful. For mains we had a Black Truffle Taglitelli and Ossobucco with a side of their potatoes. Every bite was a treat. We enjoyed a really nice Tuscan blend red wine that the waiter recommended (wish we had noted the name), and it paired very well with both our mains. We were far too full to order a dessert, but it was tempting. We had some terrific dining experiences in Firenza, and this is at the top of our list. Ben fatto!!

08/02/2026: A wonderful woman served us and guided us through everything — it was our first Sri Lankan food experience, and it was absolutely delicious. Her recommendations were spot on, and the whole experience was truly enjoyable.

15/01/2026: The restaurant has Arabic staff, as well as Egyptians and Pakistanis. The food is filling, delicious, and includes halal meat and a variety of dishes. Most of the menu is Indian. The chairs are comfortable, but the prices are a bit high.
I deducted a star because of the price.
14/01/2026: An excellent Pakistani restaurant. I ordered chicken biryani, butter chicken, and naan bread. I highly recommend it.

17/01/2025: We went to this restaurant for our anniversary, and I have to say, everything was perfect!
The location is fantastic, on the sixth floor of the Westin Excelsior Hotel, where the 360° view of Florence offers a breathtaking panorama!
Refined, top-quality cuisine.
Impeccable service and extremely friendly staff.
At the end of the dinner, they brought us pastries with "Happy Anniversary" written on them, which we really appreciated!
It's not an "everyday" restaurant, but it's definitely one of those places I recommend trying at least once in your life!

A surprise that seems cut and shaped like a puzzle piece. Eggs, cheeses, vegetables, whole grain flours. An "out-of-town" offering, foreign to the urban context. Yet, in retrospect, it seems completely integrated.

Crazy prices, a hot tea cost €12.
One waiter in particular, rude, impolite, and with a real shit face, brought me a pot of tea and when I asked for a second tea bag because there was too much water and it didn't taste like shit, he told me I'd have to pay €12 again.
You guys are amazing, really, well done! Hahahahahaha

03/02/2026: For the evening dance, it's ok, but for the aperitif, it's gotten a lot worse since they started doing it on the Martini terrace. The food is poor, there's no variety, and they've increased the price compared to last year. Terrible.
