16/04/2026: The historic Caffè San Marco will reveal an extremely interesting detail about the Greek, permanent resident of Trieste, who is considered by the locals a true local hero. And this is because he saved from certain bankruptcy this legendary hangout that first opened its doors at the dawn of World War I, in 1914. The former publisher Alexandros Delithanasis bought the cafe in 2013, adding to it something of his personal vision. Now the space operates a small, beautiful bookstore with marble tables, as well as a chess club! Enjoy!

07/01/2026: The owner was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. There are also seats on the first floor, but we didn't try them. The lasagna and salmon were perfect!
03/01/2026: The waiters are great, the Aperol is the best in our lives, we keep coming back, the ambiance is great, the music is great!!!

26/01/2026: This is our third time at this restaurant, and it has undoubtedly become our favorite in Trieste.
Excellent quality products, cooked with great flavor and respect for the ingredients.
A variety of dishes, each one better than the last.
Excellent atmosphere and service: we always love the quiet and elegant atmosphere. Although some soft music or jazz would be even better, as it's often too quiet.
Excellent value for money!
18/10/2025: We did not have a good experience dining here (although we love the hotel!) . The restaurant was a big disappointment and we felt like we wasted a precious vacation dinner! The food was okay (but nothing special - no “wow” factor ). The service was unfriendly and inattentive. The ambience was a bit dry and stuffy. With so many amazing restaurants in the area I can’t imagine anyone dining here unless they were like us and did not know better!

08/03/2026: With no doubt the best spot in town to have either aperitivo or after dinner drink. The selection of bottles and on draught beer has no comparison and so their quality. Prices are more than affordable. Inside is pretty peculiar and outside there are many tables but mostly full. Not for those who look for chic places but for the ones who seek for good cocktails.
06/03/2026: Do you like listening to high-quality music? All accompanied by delicious beers and a welcoming atmosphere? This place is for you... I go back whenever I can.

30/09/2025: During the renovation we were given rooms on the top floor without a lift and still to be renovated under the roof not exactly a nice value to see living and above all paying other people on the lower floors everything was ok maybe we were the unlucky ones and in any case we were not warned of the differences in quality of the rooms by the manager

22/03/2026: Today I had espresso on terace, the young waiter charged me 2,40€ later I saw price list and espresso price was 1,40€. Pitty Such pleasant bar has so terrible croocked waiter.

04/04/2026: Nice pub. We found some friendly young people at the bar, clearly passionate about their work. We were pleasantly surprised by the service; if we ever return to Trieste, we'll definitely pop in again.

15/07/2024: This time I exaggerated, I gave a whole star!
The food is less than mediocre, I have no idea what oil they use for cooking, but it is certainly a friend of your cholesterol. The service is worthy of a soup kitchen (sorry for the comparison, but it is certainly better there).
The environment is modest, but decorous.
The owner is the most rude and rude thing you can imagine, and with your imagination you can't even come close.
As for the portions and prices, I'll leave you a surprise if you dare to try it.
At the cost of grazing the grass in the meadows I will never go there again.
