We sleep in the guest house which has very neat and clean rooms, tastefully furnished. New Year's Eve with dinner, music and dancing until dawn. Thanks to Nadia and Gianni who every year make us experience beautiful moments in this corner of Friuli among the vineyards

18/11/2024: Place discovered by chance. Both meat and fish are eaten very well. The service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. The first and second courses were served to us almost at the same time, obviously I was forced to eat the second course cold. The first time we ordered a salad, which was never brought (and in the meantime they all disappeared). At that point we went to the cashier to pay and they were also charging us for the salad that was never brought. They removed my complaint. Obviously something isn't working. Today it happened again. As per the price list, my daughter ordered a rosbif with grilled vegetables included. First came the rosbif, then the grilled vegetables (a truly miserable little dish). When paying the bill, the vegetables were charged at €8, even though their price list included them as a dish with rosbif. To our complaints they replied that they count them separately, even the price list is written differently. At that point my family asked me to leave it alone (I would have called the municipal police). Which we paid for (even though this thing looked like a scam. The question remains: are they there or do they make us?

04/01/2025: We tried the Raggio del Sole dish. 4 types of meat and 3 side dishes served in cups, to be placed on a crepe made of rice flour and beans. All very good.

23/12/2024: Nothing can be said about the pizza, they stuff it a lot. On the home delivery service, however, they sin a lot. They are rarely punctual at the requested time and especially the boy who brings home the pizzas should be better trained on how to give change. There hasn't been a time when he got the rest wrong... but he does everything in a hurry and ultimately cheats you. I don't think I will return to request a home delivery pizza from them.

16/01/2025: Indulging in past times to better position oneself in the present is cheap stuff for places without memory. The adjective "ancient" is tolerated in the name only because there is little or nothing that is old or antiquated.

04/01/2025: Recommended to us by the host where we are staying these days, tonight we had dinner in this place, the Villa Nachini Gabassi Restaurant, also known as Osteria Barchessa. The cuisine is typical Friulian, where tradition is combined with a pinch of innovation and a great variety of wine labels. As an appetizer they offered us salami in vinegar with onion and a purple cabbage pie, we then continued with a portion of pork cheeks braised in Refosco accompanied by mashed potatoes and a portion of sem fillet, a dish prepared with three thin fillets of sorana , rolled up to form a swirl and then plated in a pan at medium cooking. We concluded with a dessert, Rigojanci, a chocolate cake typical of Trieste cuisine and of Hungarian origin, prepared with quality chocolate and in this case, with a rice-based sponge cake, light and sugar-free. I, a chocolate lover, really appreciated it, it was a great discovery. Trained and courteous staff, almost all female, from the cook to the dining room staff. Elegant location, honest prices.
