Excellent food and impeccable service (a special recognition to Sara who assisted me, kind, prepared and very attentive) but the staff promoted everything with flying colours. Correct quality-price ratio. I will be back, highly recommended.

20/09/2024: Beautiful restaurant full of charm on the hills of Gavi. Stylish historic location and fantastic food served with style. Gnocchi with pesto and paccheri with 5 tomatoes highly recommended. All the super wines from Piedmont

03/01/2025: Nice, welcoming and spacious environment. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent traditional Piedmontese dishes, especially the braised meat, which melts in your mouth! Definitely a place where you can enjoy good food accompanied by a good wine. We were there twice in 2 days: can you tell we liked it? ;⁠)

13/12/2024: Very nice and well-kept place. Positioned in the center, with large internal space. Traditional Piedmontese menu revisited very well. Excellent dishes from starters to desserts, including wines. Excellent service, reasonable value for money. I'll be back!

07/12/2024: Not much, suitable for a quick lunch break, mainly for workers etc. (at 1pm there's practically no one left) The pizza 🍕 is perhaps a little better, even if it is heavy at lunch

02/12/2024: One of my favorite restaurants, the staff is friendly and helpful, the place is welcoming and warm, the menu (which is fixed) includes 5 starters, 2 first courses, a second course and a dessert, furthermore for "foodies" they always offer at least one encore of all courses, in relation to the price it is unbeatable

25/08/2024: Certamente devi prenotarti un paio di giorni prima e scegliere con lo chef Alessandro uno dei tre menù che ti propone, sempre diversi, secondo la stagione e il mercato. Mi sono trovata “a casa”, nell’unico tavolo su un terrazzo immerso totalmente in un verde a perdita d’occhio. Incantevole. (Il ristorante ha una capienza di 15/20 persone). Premuroso e familiare il servizio. Qualche piatto davvero eccellente. Tanti ristoranti ormai fanno la famosa “cucina innovativa basata sulla tradizione”, pochissimi ne sono capaci. In giro ci sono dei gran pasticcioni. Alla Stamberga del Drago senti la passione, la lunga tradizione , le reali capacità innovative dello chef Alessandro. E la gentilezza di chi lo aiuta. Se il basso Monferrato è (fin troppo) vuoto, silenzioso, affascinante, un pezzetto di paradiso che ha mantenuto l’anima, qui, in questa frazione di Gabbiano , in questa osteria semplicissima e con prezzi giusti, ti trovi direttamente nel tuo angolo di paradiso.
