08/04/2026: We visited the "Baby" restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting – you immediately feel at ease.
The service deserves special mention: very friendly, attentive, and courteous without being intrusive.
For our meals, we ordered a Diavola pizza and a Bufola pizza – both were absolutely delicious, fresh, and flavorful. As a lovely surprise, we were given complimentary vanilla ice cream with lemon at the end, which perfectly rounded off the meal.
All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable visit – we'll definitely be back!

Simple yet refined cuisine. Their Milanese steak with cherry tomatoes and arugula, accompanied by homemade fries, is excellent.
The beer is very good, and the desserts round out the meal perfectly.

It's the ideal place for those seeking tranquility and a peaceful meal, far from the hustle and bustle. The quality of the food is excellent: every dish is prepared with care and attention. I personally really enjoyed the goulash with mashed potatoes, which was truly flavorful and well-balanced. The cured meats also deserve a special mention, fresh and of excellent quality. The Wiener Schnitzel, the true star of the menu, is undoubtedly a standout, impeccably prepared. The service is excellent: the staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive to the guests' needs, helping to make the experience even more enjoyable. Furthermore, the plentiful parking makes the restaurant easily accessible and convenient to get to. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good food in a simple yet authentic setting. I will definitely be back!

21/03/2026: The triple room booked through Booking.com had a broken number on the front door, barracks-like blankets, a missing shower door, and other worn-out, unmaintained parts. We asked to change rooms and were moved to another room where the windowless bathroom fan didn't work. The room was spacious. The bathroom sink is very low. The key has an unlikely key ring.
The outlets are also not secure.
The bed was very comfortable and clean.
Overall, cleanliness isn't a strong point.
The staff was very friendly.
We didn't have breakfast, but they offered us a free coffee or other hot drink.
There is parking.

19/07/2025: Posto diventato per spennamento turisti... Pessima qualità.. Antipasto di pesce che non vale assolutamente 25 euro.. Pizza tipo suola di scarpa... Non ci torneremo più.. E pensare che si mangiava bene... Adesso tipo catena di montaggio e la qualità ha perso importanza

19/07/2025: Sono stato più volte “Alla Trota” dal 2023 a oggi, rimanendo sempre felice della scelta.
Un ristorante a conduzione familiare che incarna l’anima conviviale friulana - basta un bel “mandi” come parola d’ordine all’entrata - che accoglie anche un “foresto” come me.
La cornice del torrente Cornappo fa da sfondo a spazi accoglienti, lasciando sempre spazio anche nei giorni di pieno. I prodotti sono davvero saporiti e cucinati con sapienza, la cucina varia le proposte su base stagionale e con giornate a tema. Il chilometro zero ( e direi metro in questo caso) é rappresentato dal prodotto della “casa”, le trote allevate in loco nelle vasche alimentate dalle freschissime acque del torrente. Sempre di casa é il vino, e anche qui i friulani non deludono mai. Nel menù ci sono anche proposte per vegetariani e - assurdo! - senza latte e derivati.
Qua ho mangiato tra i salumi più buoni che abbia mai assaggiato.
Renzo - il proprietario - e la sua famiglia (nimissini da sempre) ti accolgono con cortesia e amicizia.
Stupisce il prezzo del conto e le porzioni, in controtendenza rispetto all’andazzo generale della ristorazione attuale.
Se capriate a Nimis un salto qui é d’obbligo; se non ci capitate…andateci!

12/07/2025: Posto stupendo, atmosfera accogliente e romantica. La presenza delle vasche di trote la rende il posto unico e suggestivo.
Servizio impeccabile, personale gentile e disponibile ad ogni richiesta.
Abbiamo iniziato con un tagliere misto di salumi e formaggi davvero abbondante e di qualità, perfetto per aprire il pasto.
La fantasia di trota è qualcosa di davvero originale, con sapori ben bilanciati e tanta cura nella preparazione. Anche i secondi ci hanno conquistati: tagliata di manzo morbidissima e trota alla griglia cotta alla perfezione.
