Mosobna

Milano
15/06/2025: Cozy and home-style restaurant. The absolute protagonist is the food, which is very tasty, with the right balance between side dishes, meat or vegetables (depending on the veg option or not) and sauce. What makes it all special is that YOU EAT WITH YOUR HANDS! Another positive note: the owner and the staff serve everyone with a smile, which made it a pleasant experience. I will definitely return several times😄 Value for money: excellent!
12/06/2025: Excellent food, simple but tidy environment, very kind staff, well done.

Balafon

Milano
11/06/2025: Informal and welcoming atmosphere. We ate excellent traditional African cuisine and were recommended by the very kind owner. We will definitely return to try the rest of the menu.
08/06/2025: I love this little place in Città Studi. The interiors are warm and welcoming. The music is refined and never invasive. The owner has an overwhelming energy that in her rough pride reminds me of the strength of the women of the island they come from. But the real distinguishing feature is the quality of the cuisine. The fried bananas and bean fritters are excellent: they are two appetizers that I can never give up. The single dishes are also exquisite; for example, I love the fragrant rice with shrimp, curry sauce and vegetarian side dish. And for those who love strong flavors, I recommend trying a glass of zingerello: it is a tasty and very thirst-quenching drink. If you like ethnic cuisine, this is a place you must try.

08/06/2025: Tried only during lunch break. Sometimes very busy. With the dishes they also serve a focaccia. Large portions. Only flaw, sometimes you leave knowing about cooking

Baobab

Milano
21/06/2025: They should be ashamed or I asked for something without vegetables for my little brother and they made it with lots of vegetables they are not organized and never cook well they should be ashamed terrible place I will never come again
14/06/2025: My boyfriend and I came to eat, 30 minutes to find out what was the dish of the day, another 40 minutes to receive the dishes that by the way they served my boyfriend first and I had to wait another 30 minutes to eat alone, because my boyfriend had already finished. Absurd.

Le Petit Senegal

Milano
09/06/2025: Well, I started to drink a smoothie, the waiter poured me an African smoothie, I was surprised. I thought it was expensive, but I looked at it with my fingers. I saw the price list, the pussy is not even worth printing, no matter what you take, you pay the same for everything. The food is worse than from a school canteen. They don't hide the microwave at all. Otherwise, I don't remember the name of the soup, but it was a plague, I know why Africans starve, I would be hungry if I could eat it again. You're overestimating yourself, it's the only thing that even deserves it. I'll be honest, I thought I'd run after the smoothie, I didn't want to stoop to that level. I ate it, I was hungry, I went back to the kitchen, it was pretty similar to what I went in for. I usually come back for a baubau or when I'm told, but I don't hold it against you, I eat it at home
03/06/2025: I came back here today after being there a few years ago because of my positive memory! Rice dish with meat and vegetables fantastic and abundant; special mention for the juices they offer, really very good!

Dibi 221

Milano
24/03/2025: Dibi 221: A corner of Senegal in Via Palmanova There are places that do not just feed the body, but also nourish the soul. Dibi 221, located at number 143 of via Palmanova, is one of these. It is not just a Senegalese restaurant, but a fragment of Africa transplanted into the heart of Milan, an oasis where the flavours, aromas and hospitality tell ancient stories of red earth and boundless sea. Crossing the threshold of Dibi 221 means abandoning the frenzy of the city for a moment and letting yourself be enveloped by the authentic warmth of Teranga, the Senegalese art of hospitality. The owner welcomes guests with a smile that feels like home, with a kindness that is not just courtesy, but a bridge between cultures, an invitation to feel part of an extended family. And then there are the dishes. Intense, spicy flavors, full of life. Dibi, the undisputed protagonist, is grilled meat cooked to perfection, with that smoky aroma that evokes the open-air markets of Dakar, the warm nights on the shores of the Atlantic. Thiéboudienne, Senegal's national dish, is a symphony of rice, fish and vegetables, a perfect balance between land and sea, sweetness and strength. And how can we forget Yassa, the chicken marinated in lemon and spices, which caresses the palate with its strong and enveloping flavour? At Dibi 221 every bite is a memory, a fragment of Africa that reemerges vividly in the memory. Every spice, every perfume brings with it the flavor of the land of origin, of a continent that lives in its dishes, in its colors, in its people. If you are looking not just for a meal, but for a journey, an emotion, an encounter with the soul of Senegal, Dibi 221 is the place to rest your heart and awaken your senses. ~ Maxim
