26/08/2025: Last night we went to Il Tucano, a pizzeria and restaurant in Silvi Marina, and I have to say we had a really good time. The location is simple and charming, with a relaxed atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. We ordered pizza, and it was pleasantly surprised: the dough was light, well-cooked, and the ingredients on top were fresh and plentiful. It was truly delicious, one of those pizzas that makes you want to order another immediately. Then we tried the fried calamari... marvelous! Crispy, dry, without excess oil, and with that flavor that lets you know the fish is fresh. The staff was incredibly kind, always attentive and thoughtful, and at the end of dinner they even offered us a glass of Ratafià, a typical Abruzzo liqueur I wasn't familiar with: delicious, fragrant, and perfect to end the evening. We loved everything so much that we've already decided to come back during the week to try the arrosticini. If they're as good as the rest, it'll be another wonderful evening to remember. 28/09/2025: It's a very traditional trattoria. Homemade pasta, hand-made; cured meats and cheeses made in-house. Everything is plentiful and delicious. Don't expect elaborate gourmet cuisine, but excellent quality at equally excellent prices.

22/09/2025: The only place in Pianacce where you can eat. You could call it the village inn. The mother cooks. It serves typical Abruzzo food. There's no menu. The waiter tells you what's on offer. The portions are generous. The food is solid, home-cooked food made with good ingredients.

We spent a fantastic week at Hotel Abruzzo in Marina di Silvi, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun, and delicious stay. The location is unparalleled, right on the sea, with a view that makes every moment special. The proximity to the beach makes access to the sea extremely convenient, a real plus for families. Breakfast on the sea-view terrace was one of the highlights of our day: a wide selection of fresh and tasty dishes, with the sea as a backdrop. A truly enjoyable experience! Another highlight is the children's entertainment. Our kids had a blast! They participated in the sailing course and loved all the evening shows, designed to entertain the whole family. In particular, the Takimiri Circus evening was an explosion of pure fun, with engaging and spectacular acts that left everyone speechless. The food was another great highlight: every meal was a delight. We enjoyed a variety of typical Abruzzo dishes, both meat and seafood, always prepared with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients. Kudos to the chef for her extraordinary creations, and a special thanks to the waiters, who provided impeccable service every day with an attention to detail that made our stay even more enjoyable. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Luca and Lisa at the bar always made us feel at ease, and Luna at reception was extremely friendly and ready to accommodate our every need. In short, Hotel Abruzzo Marina di Silvi is the ideal place for a family vacation, where quality, courtesy, and fun come together. We'll definitely be back!

02/11/2025: The place feels warm and welcoming, yet has a very vintage feel. Our last guest arrived at 9 PM, and after ordering shortly thereafter, we were served appetizers at 10 PM and main courses at approximately 10:40 PM, after everyone had ordered the same course: a platter and mixed roast. The restaurant manager/owner was friendly and polite, but the waitress who served us was a bit too casual. I'll start by saying that I'm all for simplicity and cheerfulness, especially in the village, but let's avoid describing dishes to customers with food still in their mouths, and above all, let's remember to bring drinks if the place is half-empty. Luckily, the cured meats and meat were truly delicious, although after the long wait, we would have preferred slightly larger portions for the bill. I'd avoid classifying half a potato per person as a side dish and charging so much for it, because despite the quality of the food, the timing, the service, and the size of the portions, at a whopping €33, made this experience forgettable and unrepeatable. Silvi Alta is a beautiful place, but like many towns in Abruzzo, it clearly needs to learn how to treat its guests. If we continue like this, we can forget about tourism, and I say this as a proud Abruzzese.
