08/03/2026: A wonderful discovery in Roccaraso. Considering the various reviews, we dined at this restaurant on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is very elegant and well-decorated, and the owner is friendly and knowledgeable. We had Fassona tartare, a trio of bruschettas, polenta with caciocavallo cheese, a risotto, and an egg with truffles. We loved everything. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like truffles. The price is in line with the offerings. About €110 for two, including a bottle of wine. We'll definitely return on our next weekend getaway.

15/08/2026: Today, my family, some friends, and I decided to spend Ferragosto at the Fattoria. Despite the crowds, the food was delicious. A fantastic experience, complemented by a perfect location, service, and food. 5 stars always, and even more. 👍💯

14/08/2026: We were very motivated to go, but the disappointment was huge, and we were very sorry for the innocent waiting staff who were put under stress by incompetent management.

11/08/2026: We tried scamorza and mixed meat. Both were delicious and grilled. This was after they offered us two grilled bruschettas with cherry tomatoes. The waiter/owner was very kind and attentive to my needs (I'm pregnant). The atmosphere was quiet and minimalist. Welcoming, however. They provided us with a cork so we could take away any leftover wine. Thank you.

23/11/2025: Hotel with polite and respectful staff. Angelo is very friendly and will accommodate any request. Nino, we had a blast, thanks for the stay. If we ever pass through that area again, it will definitely be our destination.

21/02/2026: A simple but welcoming refuge! A place to refuel without any pretensions. The sausage, scamorza, and broccoli rabe sandwich is excellent. We expected the prices to be slightly lower for this location, but in the end, it was worth it, especially for the quality of the products. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful!

04/02/2026: High-altitude refuge reached by chairlift. Service was literally inadequate even on a Sunday in November. The food was incredibly late, and they had very little to offer. It makes up for the Location

29/07/2026: I'm writing a half-assed review, in the sense that I really appreciated the location—it was beautiful, a grassy area with tables and loungers for patrons to use. But I didn't get to try the food; I found the prices a bit high, though I understand the location (500 meters from the Pizzalto chairlift top station, at about 1,600 meters above sea level) makes it difficult to get supplies. I did, however, enjoy a spritz in a beautiful setting; there was also a DJ who played some great songs that I found very fitting.

06/04/2026: We arrive, order (cacio e ova balls, baked potatoes, and some supposed broccoli—"supposed" because broccoli, the real kind, is probably an abstract concept here) and prepare to eat peacefully. But no. We discover that the benches are reserved for a higher category of customers: those ordering a first course. We, evidently, belong to the economy class and therefore don't deserve the luxury of a seat... despite the tables being perfectly empty. Interesting company policy: it doesn't matter if you consume, it matters how much you consume. A sort of cabin-style "premium seating." All this is accompanied by a decidedly less-than-warm welcome and dishes that, besides being questionable, are also described in rather creative terms. For completeness, I've also attached a photo of the "broccoli," so maybe someone can identify them better than us. If you're looking for a place where you'll feel judged by the receipt, you're in the right place. If, on the other hand, you just want to eat and relax... maybe it's better to look around.

13/08/2026: Authentic Abruzzese food of the highest quality, made with supreme ingredients ...as an Abruzzese, I think the arrosticini are in the top three in Abruzzo. The magic of this place is unique.

16/08/2026: I returned to this restaurant driven by fond memories: I remembered La Capannina as a place that perfectly balanced its culinary offerings with the right price. Unfortunately, the current reality was a real shock. The food turned out to be mediocre, an experience worthy of no more than a 2-star rating for the quality and execution of the dishes. The final bill, however, was perfectly in line with that of a 5-star restaurant. Such a wide range is already unjustifiable in itself, but the final insult came with the receipt: the management charged us a premium over the standard cover charge simply for seating us outside, under the pine trees, without us ever asking. Such a decline and such a lack of transparency towards the customer makes one look elsewhere. I won't be returning.
