05/04/2024: We stopped in passing because the previous experience of my husband and mine had been positive and I must say that it was worth it, delicious food, fresh fish, right portions and super efficient staff. The owner was really kind, he will definitely be a stop every time we go to Puglia. It is preferable to book because it is always full. After Easter Monday at 3pm we had to wait a bit

02/04/2024: I've gotten takeaway pizza from this place a couple of times. The pizza is classic, without too many frills, at a very accessible price. The staff, and especially the owner, are always very kind and helpful. Thank you!
29/03/2024: Arriving by chance at 1.30pm (we had to arrive in Ortona much later) we found this small but perfect restaurant by pure chance.
We had 3 exceptional seafood first courses and the kebabs with potatoes for the second course.
The staff was very kind and very helpful... what can I say? We were very lucky considering the value for money!
Highly recommended for anyone passing through these parts

02/04/2024: It accepts animals and for this reason alone it deserves top marks (it has two rooms and they put us in the quieter one). The sailor's bruschetta + chitarrina, clams and bottarga + grilled fish, all very good. Fair prices without exaggerations. Advised.

01/04/2024: What a great place to have delicious homemade food. The owners are very hospitable and kind - a rare find in big Italian cities. We thank them for the unexpectedly great culinary experience we had at la taverna dei pini.

More than honest prices and attentive service. Recommended for those looking for the real genuine cuisine of the past.

26/11/2023: This review is for the view only, we did not eat here. The restaurant is closed during off season but it’s possible to visit the trabocco and have a picnic with a view. It is one of the best ones to visit along the trabocchi coast and there is a fun door to take photos with as well. The entrance is along the bike path and it’s easy to access but you must walk and cannot drive all the way there. One of the most beautiful places in Abruzzo!

09/03/2024: We arrived at this restaurant on 2/18/24 without knowing it, trusting some reviews. We booked by phone asking if they also cooked for vegans, we were told yes.
We ate little, the owner was unable to advise us and we ended up with a gourmet appetizer for 2 (there were 5 of us) of raw food which was very scarce, he recommended 3 first courses to try and then enjoy the second course.
The 3 first courses were without a trace of fish. He had recommended a sea bream to be placed in the center to be divided, for goodness sake we had the fried fish per person, the only thing that turned out well, good.
The vegan went out on an empty stomach, pasta with pesto, pumpkin cream and a mini vegetable pie with 8 cannellini beans.
A cry even at the payment
They are not cheap.
I'm sorry because it was an important event and we didn't make a good impression.

30/01/2024: Very good cappuccino, I ate a small bull's eye with pistachio and I liked it. My friends lost a croissant (since I'm very curious) I noticed that it was nice and honeycombed. Informal place where you can bring your "furry children", adjacent to the place you will find a nice car park, if you are in the area, go and try it.
