The space conveys the care and intimacy of a family-run Italian restaurant, and the food makes you feel that deeply. It is a local restaurant, off the beaten tourist track, that showcases what we understand to be the culture of Abruzzo. Note: If you do not have a reservation, arrive right at opening time and ask in advance if there is space. Reservations are usually required.

25/03/2026: Excellent food. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant manager, Mrs. Liliana, if I'm not mistaken.

05/04/2026: A historic restaurant in the center of Lanciano. Excellent dishes, rooted in tradition, using local ingredients. The presentation leaves nothing to chance. We returned for the third time today for Easter. A welcome canapé included a tartlet and a fiadone; egg and asparagus with truffle and a cauliflower mousse; cheek tortello with pecorino and guanciale; and mutton revisited as a arrosticini with seasonal vegetables. Everything was impeccable. To top it all off, an apricot Colomba cake with chocolate ice cream satisfied our sweet tooth. As we were about to leave and settle the bill, the maître d' gifted us a homemade apricot Colomba cake, just like the one we enjoyed at the end of lunch; we'll share it with friends on Easter Monday. The chef was present this time as well and received our compliments. Recommended with reservations.

So, there's no point in continuing, but I simply invite you to stop by and try it, and then be ensnared in the DREAM!

02/02/2026: We stopped here during a visit to Lanciano. It's a truly lovely place with a view of the square and right under the Cathedral of the Madonna del Ponte! The girl who welcomed us was truly professional. We sat outside since it was a pleasantly warm day. The place looks great inside too! We had Black Velvet, arrosticini, baked potatoes, and a platter. Everything was delicious! We'll be back when we're in the area!!! Top Rating S&P A+

28/01/2026: Good evening, this evening I stopped by their place to enjoy an aperitif voucher they gave me. Unfortunately, due to my forgetfulness and other commitments, we showed up for an aperitif in January 2026. The voucher expired on December 31, 2025. The staff informed me that the owner had said it had expired... Excuse me, is it a medicine?....and yet you received money from the voucher, I don't think it's expired....I understand the expiration, but it's a matter of common sense, which is essential if you want to run a business....that's what makes the difference today....I certainly lost an aperitif, never mind, but it doesn't matter. I don't know what you gained in return, maybe a few free euros in exchange for no service provided... Or a nice advertisement 😀😀😀 As they say, "advertising is the soul of commerce." You guys can draw your conclusions... Congratulations....top 😀😀😀

At Taverna, you'll find excellence: from the seafood cuisine to the selection of wines and grappas, with recommendations from the legendary sommelier, from the desserts to the service. Here, the customer is king. All in the heart of the historic center, with 5-star service. If you don't have a snake in your pocket, your palate will thank you.

07/11/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times. The setting is very charming, located in a rustic setting in the historic center of Lanciano. The atmosphere is very intimate and pleasant, thanks in part to the background music, and the waiters are very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent; the menu features excellent traditional Lanciano and Abruzzo dishes. I highly recommend the rintrocilo with ragù and the cheese and egg balls. The meat is also excellent. In my opinion, the prices are very reasonable for the quality. A truly excellent place.
