24/09/2025: Thirty years after my first experience, for my 80th birthday, I took my entire family to La Bandiera restaurant. Dinner and overnight stay were rave reviews from everyone. Special thanks to Mr. Alessio and his entire staff for their helpfulness and professionalism. Considering the location, the quality of the cuisine, and the wine list, we believe it's time for another star to be awarded to La Bandiera. Giorgio Principi and family.

The cuisine is a true tribute to Calabrian tradition: authentic dishes, rich in flavor and prepared with the highest-quality ingredients, authentically expressing the history and flavors of this land. But what makes this place special is not only the culinary excellence, but also the atmosphere. Ercole, along with his family and the entire staff, welcomes guests with rare warmth and care, making everyone who enters the door feel at home. Attention to detail, helpfulness, and human warmth transform every meal into a moment of true conviviality. A restaurant that combines the quality of Calabrian tradition with an exceptional welcome: an experience that will remain in our hearts and that we can't wait to experience again.

29/09/2025: We stayed at this wonderful place for a dear friend's wedding, and it was a truly unforgettable experience! The venue is stunning: spacious, meticulously maintained, with elegant brick houses housing the various rooms. Luckily, it was summer, so we were able to enjoy the outdoor spaces—simply incredible. The garden is a true gem: manicured hedges, stone paths, lemon trees, and lush greenery everywhere. An enchanting, almost fairytale-like atmosphere. The buffet was a delightful surprise: lavish and of the highest quality, with an impressive variety ranging from meat to fish, from cured meats to cheeses, pizzas, raw fish, and much more. Dinner, served at your table, began with a truly spectacular entrance by the waiters, accompanied by a perfectly chosen soundtrack that made the moment even more moving. The food? Simply delicious, from start to finish. A venue we highly recommend for any type of event: elegant, refined, and magical. Rating: A++++++++++++

11/10/2025: Wow! This place is truly amazing, from start to finish we were blown away. The views of the bay are great, but the views inside with the art and decor are equally impressive. The service is above and beyond at every turn. We loved the cocktail recommendations to start, they allowed us to order a cheese plate from the dessert menu to start (even suggesting a great wine pairing) and helped us customize a beautiful, relaxed 2.5 hour dining experience. The kitchen sent a surprise starter course and an extra dessert on the house, and all the food was excellent. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to any Americans traveling to sorrento, everyone spoke fluent English and we felt right at home. Well most certainly be back the next time we’re in Italy 🇮🇹

30/09/2025: The restaurant, located in a beautiful panoramic position, is somewhat difficult to reach due to both the lack of signage and the final stretch of steep, unpaved road. Access from the parking lot below is a bit neglected due to overgrown weeds, but the interior and terrace are well-maintained. Two menus are offered for €45, excluding service, water, and soft drinks. The dishes are pleasant, except for a few that seem a bit disjointed. I point out to the waitress that my main course is missing porcini mushrooms, listed on the menu as a side dish. She tells me that the chef apologizes for forgetting them, but he won't bring them, since I haven't eaten dessert yet. Nor is there any sign of thoughtfulness on the bill apologizing for the omission. For family reasons, I often frequent restaurants in Emilia and Tuscany, where they go out of their way to make guests feel welcome, unlike in our area, where one often feels almost tolerated. In conclusion, a decent experience, but I wouldn't go back.
19/09/2025: The place is very well-kept and clean. The owners are kind and courteous. The preparation and quality of the food are excellent. The two Sunday menus are both more delicious than the last. We will definitely be back.

The Essence of Cuisine: Slow Food and Local Culture La Ripa's philosophy is deeply rooted in Slow Food principles, highlighting seasonality and local traditions. The cuisine aims to create a visceral connection between guests and the local nature, using excellent raw materials with refined preparation methods that, while refined, do not distort their essence. It is a cuisine of substance and comfort, surprising with its balance and intensity of flavors. Must-See Dishes The menu is a narrative of Irpinia's flavors. Everything was authentic, and you could immediately taste the quality and freshness of the products—even the oil was amazing, with an aroma and flavor that truly speaks of the region. The appetizer was my favorite: the arancino and cod timbale were simply delicious! Welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and an authentic feel. A place that exudes passion and tradition in every dish. We'll definitely be back! (For the truffle) 👏🍷🍽️

04/10/2025: We traveled from Padua specifically to dine here, along with another couple of friends who already knew the place. Well, it was absolutely worth it! As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a spectacular welcome entrée, bread baskets always full and well-stocked, and IMPECCABLE service: young, kind, and passionate about their work, who made the evening truly unforgettable. The fish-based first and second courses were excellent, with attention to detail and quality ingredients. The desserts: simply out of this world! 😍 The price was very fair and perfectly in line with what we ate. At the end of the dinner, the owner came to the table to share some interesting facts about the dishes: a gesture we greatly appreciated. In short, a dinner and an evening to remember. I would leave now just to go back, without thinking twice! My compliments to everyone, especially the staff in the dining room and the kitchen staff! 👏
