This was recommended by our hotel in the Monti neighborhood as a place serving traditional dishes that locals also frequent. It was popular with locals for drinks earlier in the evening when we were there for dinner (at 7 pm) and then popular for dinner as we were finishing up at 8:30. A nice lively crowd, but not too boisterous, hence the 5 for atmosphere. The food was more of a mama's kitchen preparation...fine but not refined and not especially well prepared or especially tasty. The service was good considering they were quite busy with indoor and outdoor tables and had one server and one bartender.

A very good aperitif: a plate of amatriciana for me with an exquisite sauce and crispy guanciale, cured meats and cheeses for my husband, and the cocktail was excellent too! Congratulations, guys!

Enjoy your Valentine's Day dinner at a lovely restaurant on a corner of Piazza della Suburra, just steps from the Cavour metro station. Beautiful setting, good service, and very good food, especially the spaghetti alla Luciana with octopus, which not many restaurants offer and which is very good. Dessert, tiramisu was kindly provided. I'd say it was a decidedly positive experience.

Magical experience with this restaurant. Beautiful design, ambiance, food. We met the owner's family - mother, father and son. This is a quiet spot, away from noisy surroundings. Seek this spot if you are looking for a more sophisticated food experience in Rome. Fried artichoke was just perfect and so was my pavlova.

13/03/2026: Persuaded by Borghese and his "four restaurants," we try this fraschetta. The atmosphere isn't bad, nor is the welcome—nothing to complain about, Roman style! The appetizer for six wasn't exactly generous, but it was good. Perhaps something was missing. Rigatoni with pajata wasn't bad, but not exceptional (a few more pieces of pajata would have been nice!) The gricia, or rather the guanciale of the gricia, is forgettable. The cacio e pepe, dear Alessandro, I'm sorry to say, I've had better. The tripe was good. The arrosticini....terrible!! As a "roastsman," I can say they looked like a bad copy of a skewer in a pan...half-roasted and half-boiled...too bad!! We didn't go any further. My apologies to the managers, but I came in with different expectations. The welcome and service were good.
12/03/2026: Authentic Roman osteria in Ariccia Warm, family-style service and truly fair prices. We tried the cacio e pepe, which was simply EXCELLENT... matriciana, carbonara, and fettuccine with porcini mushrooms and truffle... what can I say... 😋😋 Impeccable dinner! One of the best osterias I've tried. High-quality cuisine. Attentive and friendly service. 🔵 Highly recommended for those seeking true tradition! A fantastic experience, we'll definitely be back!
