I've been there for lunch twice and found the menu excellent, with a wide selection of dishes, both simple and elaborate. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the service impeccable. I hope to return soon; it was a wonderful discovery!

I've been a regular at this restaurant since 2015. It's always a pleasure to go. The small menu is a sign of fresh ingredients. The staff is welcoming, and recently they added a small dining room, allowing them to accommodate more people despite the restaurant's small size. Don't miss the bathroom; the sink is truly something special! 😊

Best Discovery during Winter olimpics games in Milan! It happened to me to get there quite often and it's been a blast! Everyday a different menu but God it's Always good! Great food, great service and the best vibes. Thanks to luca and Martina, Always smiling and welcoming people. I Wish i had more spots like this in Paris! Open sight kitchen Is Always a good idea, love the smiles from the chefs as well. Well done, San Mauri!

A modern atmosphere in an ancient setting (it was once an 18th-century convent). Excellent cuisine. Tender boiled meatballs, beef carpaccio with red fruits, Milanese risotto with ossobuco, and creamed cod on fried polenta were just some of the dishes we tried. The staff was courteous and attentive. And then a trip to the bathroom... down the stone steps of the old convent, the sink is a stone slab from an old Tuscan olive press! Spectacular. Highly recommend.

Ristorante Antica Osteria Stendhal

05/05/2026: A guardian of Milanese cuisine, this restaurant has been in the Brera district since 1988. Their signature dish, Fiori di Zucca, is a sautéed dish filled with ricotta and pesto, and because it's not fried, the flavors of the ingredients really shine through. The Chicken Cotoletta Milanese is a thinly pounded chicken coated in batter, with a good balance of crispness on the outside and tenderness on the inside. Along with the Saffron Risotto Milanese, it made for a perfect combination of Milanese cuisine fundamentals. To be honest, I felt that the overall quality could have been a little higher considering the price range. Grazie 🍽️✨
05/05/2026: Food was delicious (also pricey- main dishes 30-40€). 4 starts because we they brought us bread but not oil , salt and paper. Coffee comes with small pastries 😋
