A beautiful hotel where you can enjoy wonderful food even as a non-guest. Incredibly beautiful decor, very clean, a stunning view of Rome, a wide selection of food, and the taste was impeccable. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly and even organized a small gift for my mother's birthday. We would all come back.

Had a wonderful lunch experience at Sofitel hotel’s rooftop restaurant Settimo. My waitress Elena was so kind and friendly it made my experience that much better! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I had a lunch menu for 39€ including starter, first course (pasta) coffee (orzo) and water. It’s a great value for money in such a beautiful location. Only the rain ruined the moment but I will definitely be back for a more sunny day!

SETTIMO Roman Cuisine & Terrace delivers immediately on location — sweeping rooftop views across Rome that make you pause for a moment before even looking at the menu. The space itself is high-class without being intimidating, polished yet genuinely comfortable, striking that rare balance where you feel elevated but relaxed. The food more than holds its own against the backdrop. Some of the best Roman cooking I experienced on the trip was executed with confidence and restraint. The arancini were perfect — crisp, rich, and balanced — while the gricia and cacio e pepe were top-notch, deeply flavorful, and technically spot-on. This is classic Roman cuisine done at a very high level. What truly sets SETTIMO apart, though, is the way the room is run. The female restaurant manager operates with total command — attentive, composed, and effortlessly orchestrating the entire experience. Timing, tone, guest awareness — all dialed in. The kind of leadership that elevates everything around it. Frankly, she could run my business anytime. Between the views, the food, and a front-of-house operation that knows exactly what it’s doing, SETTIMO feels like a complete experience rather than just a beautiful place to eat. When a restaurant pairs scenery this good with cooking and service at this level, it earns its place among Rome’s standouts.

September 2025, dining. Wow! Definitely one of the highlights of our dining experience in Rome. So, to guarantee a table outside the terrace for the amazing view we did have to commit to the tasting menu. Well, it was well worth it. 2 options on the night beef or seafood. So we got both options to try the both. Every dishes were delicious. Well balanced flavour one after another and nothing was over powering or inconsistent. Over the years after we are fortunate to experience a number of tasting menu, I have learn that not every restaurant gets it right. Sometimes the flavour is flat across all dishes like we experienced in Florence. Sometimes in overpowering where it was too rich and overwhelming and your palette goes into over drive. Compliment to the chef! It was amazing.. sunset view...who can complaint about that. As for the service, I have to say the 5 stars is solely going to a lovely lady who looked after us. As for the other staff... they did not carry the weight. The poor lady was probably running off her feet to provide excellent service to all the tables. I swear one of the waiter did not look like he wanted to be there at all. No words, no smile... nothing.. I wanted to tell him that he should just finish off his shift and just head home. The lovely lady deserves the tip and special mentioned. It was a wonderful evening and a slight chill

On the terrace overlooking the Eternal City, we had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant during our stay at the Sofitel. The tasting menu is simply incredible; each dish is refined yet generous, with exceptional skill and precision on the plate. The ingredients are top-quality, fresh, and seasonal. It has everything we love about Italian cuisine: raw ingredients prepared with talent and passion. The wine pairing was perfect, as was the service. The prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the menu. If you're looking for a romantic and indulgent experience, this is the place for you.
