Un’esperienza culinaria fantastica alla Locanda del Capitano! Ogni piatto era una scoperta di sapori autentici e raffinati, curato nei dettagli e presentato in modo eccellente. Lo chef, Giancarlo Politi ha saputo accompagnarci in questo viaggio di sapori di bosco con un suggerimento di vino perfetto per esaltare ogni portata, dimostrando grande competenza e passione. Un ristorante che trasmette amore per la cucina e per l'ospitalità. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca una vera esperienza gourmet, sentendosi come a casa! Posto incantevole Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo!

Pleasant and beautiful discovery!! 2 adults and 2 children (5 and 8 years old), very qualified staff and sublime cuisine. My son says the chef is unique and we can't blame him. We will definitely be back

We had dinner in this wonderful living room... yes, because Giancarlo welcomed us just like in the living room of his home with the utmost simplicity and his story to tell, to celebrate my birthday! The place is elegant and simple at the same time, warm and welcoming. We chose a tasting based entirely on products from the Umbrian territory.. Each course of the chosen tasting truly contained a story and each bite was a sensorial journey: every single ingredient on the plate was part of the symphony that exploded on taste... We were really happy and amazed to try such an experience which really moved us... as I concluded last night: every course is orgasmic! Congratulations indeed.

We were last night in this magnificent place: The owner immediately introduced us, telling us that it wasn't just any place but like being at home. Impeccable welcome, unique friendliness, high quality mise en place. Beautiful and one-of-a-kind glasses, unique wine list: next to the name of the wine, the vintage and the cellar, there is a photo of the label of each individual wine... chapeau! Food literally told by Mr. Giancarlo, the owner, with simplicity but great attention and above all love for his work. Exceptional quality. Sincere congratulations to Giancarlo and all his staff for the unique experience they made us live.

Located in the town of Montone (beautiful medieval village ... worth visiting). I entrusted myself to the care of chef Giancarlo, I was lucky enough to taste amazing dishes in particular a smoked roe deer with olive embers, tagliolini with hare and truffle broth, duck with balsamic vinegar and a delicious chocolate and salted caramel dessert and berries. The wine list is sumptuous. An obligatory stop. Highly recommended. Elegant location, punctual and unobtrusive service. Too bad about the rainy day 🤷🏽‍♂️. Average prices for restaurants in the same category.

We weren’t sure if the hotel had a restaurant or if the restaurant had a hotel above it, but we were fortunate enough to experience both. We stayed here in July 2024 as part of our honeymoon during the Umbria Film Festival. The hotel exudes an absolutely charming vibe, with hospitality that’s second to none. The rooms are comfortable and spotless. Pro tip: upgrade to a superior room, and you’ll be treated to a lovely terrace where you can soak in the village's sights and sounds while sipping a glass of prosecco, waiting for your wife to get ready for dinner. And trust me, the dinner will be nothing short of magnificent—possibly the best I’ve ever had in Italy, and that’s saying something. We’ll be planning our future trips to Italy to ensure Montone and La Locanda del Capitano are always on the itinerary. With love, Pintyő and Daniel

Il tempo non scalfisce l’eccellenza qualitativa del “Capitano” e nel corso degli anni ne ho sempre avuto conferma; la cura del particolare, la selezione della materia prima, la mano leggera che valorizza. E Giancarlo, insieme alla brigata, unisce il forte impatto sensoriale a quello emozionale. L’affabilità, la simpatia e l’attenzione verso l’ospite rendono memorabile l’esperienza. Consigliatissimo, ça va sans dire.

28/12/2024: Very kind staff. Attentive to customer needs. The waiters in the restaurant were very kind and friendly. Great location and simple, good food. The only flaw is noisy rooms. Not very soundproofed, if like us you end up with a room under the restaurant room, be prepared for a continuous noise of tables and chairs and footsteps. Furthermore, we had a couple in the next room who had been talking and calling loudly since 7.00 in the morning. This is the only flaw. And despite this we liked it. Advised.

La Locanda Dello Stradino

02/07/2024: The Locanda dello Stradino ... remains on the SS3 78 state road in Pissignano, province of Perugia, and opens and closes at 11.30 pm ... has a magnificent spacious and well-furnished room and there are also outdoor tables, there is WIFI, and also offers a children's menu. It is worth knowing that in this inn many types of delicious pizzas are brought to the table, as well as excellent ravioli and delicious appetizers. Here you can also find many dishes of Umbrian cuisine... including cured meats, cheeses, pumpkin and anchovy pizzas, homemade strangozzi and gnocchi, tagliatelle with truffles, seared lamb finger, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, all with side dishes of chicory, grilled vegetables, cabbage and potatoes, roast potatoes with wild fennel, then there are the desserts... cream tart, chocolate cake with a warm heart and cream ice cream, and tozzetti with Sagrantino passito. The prices for the pizzas and the fixed menu are very cheap, however for lunch or dinner the prices are normally they range from 10 to 20 euros for pizzas and fixed menus and then from 30 to 40 euros for lunch and dinner at least to clarify, but one thing is certain if you pass by here you will leave very satisfied.
