Excellent, everything was delicious!! I had the panzerotto with mozzarella and tomato and it was spectacular. Big in size and lots of toppings. They make them on the spot so they're nice and hot... go for it, you won't regret it. PS You can choose the dough... there's also one with hemp flour.
Panzerotto is a fantastic Italian street food – fried dough similar to pizza dough, filled with mozzarella and tomato sauce, with additional ingredients depending on the variety.
At Madia, the panzerotti are freshly fried, beautifully crispy, and simply delicious. There’s also a good selection to choose from, so it’s hard to stop at just one.
And the best part? You can take your panzerotto with you and enjoy it just a few steps away, on the old city walls overlooking the sea and the harbour. This is exactly what great street food in Puglia should be like.

Tempted by the delicious-looking panzerotti we saw all over the streets of Monopoli, we decided to stop here for a quick tasting.
Unfortunately, we had to wait almost 50 minutes for just one classic panzerotto with tomato and mozzarella. The panzerotto itself was really good – the dough was crispy, warm, and filled with plenty of ingredients.
The biggest disappointment was the waiting time. It would have been nice if the staff had warned us in advance that the wait would be so long.
To make things even more frustrating, an Italian customer who ordered after us received his panzerotto almost immediately.

Madia is a good place to eat when you're strolling around Monopoli and feeling a bit peckish. They serve delicious panzerotti.
