02/08/2026: Al Ponte restaurant is definitely one of the most beautiful places in Bassano. The location is enchanting, and dining in its garden is the best. The only thing that could be improved, in my opinion, are the dishes, which are "poor." The beef carpaccio with torcolato sauce is superb, the duck breast à l'orange is good but the portion is meager. The cut of the dish is decent, but a little more could have been done, and the person taking the order seemed annoyed when we asked for it to be rare. Could be improved.
01/08/2026: Every restaurant in town was packed on a Saturday in August. We stumbled across this quaint restaurant that seemed quiet. Beautiful setting. RUDE staff. Had dogs with us but we're met with " you want to eat with ALL those animals, I can give you a table in the corner" of an empty restaurant. When we asked for a table closer to the front - He laughed and said "not a chance". Host was confrontational, rude and clear now the reason why a restaurant with prime position on a Saturday to have just 2 tables occupied.

26/10/2025: I went to this Ostaria with five other people. We weren't happy and won't be back.
The location is very beautiful because it overlooks the river and you can see the Bassano Bridge, but we didn't like the service because the waitress was rude.
We had five Spritzes, one Coke, and two charcuterie boards for €57, and the Spritzes weren't good either.
We sat inside at tiny, uncomfortable tables.
I don't recommend it.
22/09/2025: *Displayed hours not respected and rude staff*
We arrived at this establishment on Sunday evening around 8:15 PM, attracted by the sign outside indicating closing at 10:00 PM. Unfortunately, the staff very rudely informed us that the establishment was already closed. When we pointed out that the posted hours stated otherwise, the response was abrupt and unprofessional, with the excuse that "we're short on waiters and we've locked the gate."
Aside from the fact that we weren't able to use the service, the main problem is the disrespect and dishonesty of the information displayed. Not only did the establishment not respect the posted hours, but the staff didn't even apologize for the error, displaying a rude and annoyed attitude. A truly disappointing experience.

02/07/2026: A warm Aperol Spritz, filled just over halfway, in a classic water glass. For three euros, it's absolutely not worth it.

26/04/2026: we were passing buy Bassano del Grappa and need something to eat very fast, so we chose to try this place. Not very pleasant experience, for one time it’s ok, when you are not from the area and in rush but in general wouldn’t recommend it, ingredients look not very fresh, but why we don’t know because the cost of primary products for kebab are super low, sauces used also looked not fresh, cleanliness of the place is a bit lower than an average kebab place in Italy, stuff, can’t say something precise but they were trying to look friendly). Just changing some basics would attract more people i think) good luck

17/05/2026: I've been coming here for several years and we really like it. We come specifically for "la doga," their signature dish of local cured meats and cheeses. We sit down and don't see it on the menu, but we see the table next to us eating it and seeing people keep leaving. So they come to order and tell us we can't have it... a total disappointment, and it seems a bit unfair, because since the dish was available, I don't see why they wouldn't bring it to us. Otherwise, the food was decent, but we won't be back. A SHAME.

26/05/2025: La posizione è centrale il locale ampio e grande ma….. Abbiamo prenotato per 30 persone compreso bambini. Alcuni hanno ordinato la pizza altri dei primi di mare e funghi. Altri carne. Ebbene dopo che gli altri avevano finito di mangiare la pizza , passata quasi un’ora , alle lamentele , hanno giustificato dicendo un problema alla cucina, invece , sorpresa dopo altri dieci minuti e’ arlrivato tutto insieme , primo secondo e contorno e non sapevamo più dove mettere i piatti. Ovviamente l’appetito anche ai piccoli era passato. In più vengono a riferirci che avremmo dovuto liberare il tavolo perché avevano altre prenotazioni. Ora , capisco il proprietario che tira al portafogli però a tutto c’è un limite. Ho pagato il mio conto e solo dopo mi sono lamentato con il proprietario che da buon napoletano dopo cento scuse ha dato la colpa alla nuova cameriera. Dispiace tale situazione e sinceramente mi aspettavo di meglio da questo locale così nominato. La qualità del cibo non è così come descritta ma è nella media ed il prezzo di molto superiore. Prendete meno persone e date un servizio migliore questo è il consiglio che al momento mi sento di dare, tirare solo al cassetto fa perdere tutto quello che avete creato. Mi dispiace ma la delusione è grande perché oltre ad essere un vostro paesano avete davvero esagerato con la richiesta di liberare il tavolo senza nemmeno aver mangiato. Spero vi sia una ripresa.
