02/06/2026: I'm giving it 2 stars because the croissants are good and the place is clean and well-kept. The staff is sullen, never smiles, and they don't even say hello! In fact, we walked in, a table became available and the employee was clearing and cleaning it. We waited, and as soon as she finished cleaning, I thanked her and said goodbye, only for the girl to turn away and leave. There's no point in putting smiley faces on T-shirts; a smile on the customers' faces would be worth much more than well-kept uniforms.

29/05/2026: Came here as we needed refreshment and food. Probably the best Brioche con crema both of us have ever eaten. Outstanding.

07/05/2026: The atmosphere is a bit dark, but very quiet and fairly peaceful. The kitchen is also open for lunch on Mondays. However, the specials are daily specials; not all the menu items are available. The pizza is good, thin, just the way I like it, and the service is quick. The pasta and fries are generous, but the main courses and side dishes are less so. Service is fairly quick, with plenty of seating inside, and a few outside. The restroom is clean and spacious, but the entrance doors are a bit narrow.

27/04/2026: A long time ago I was stationed on a tiny American Army site inside an Italian Army caserma in a nearby town. One of our favorite hangouts was a pizzeria called "Lo Straniero." Imagine my surprise when, almost fifty years later I spotted the name on a map when I came back in vacation! They've been here the whole time. The pizza is still great (and don't miss the tiramisu) and the service still friendly and courteous. So cool to see a family business thriving for so long.

01/06/2026: Excellent little restaurant in the center of Conegliano. The menu isn't overly long, with well-chosen options that can satisfy a wide range of palates, and a mind-blowing wine list: if you like wine, definitely come and try the cellar. Whether for an intimate dinner or a group evening, I recommend this place. The homemade bread is truly worth it; give it a try.

19/05/2026: We came to the restaurant on Monday night for a couple of drinks on our very first day in Italy, and we were genuinely excited to start our trip here. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing because of the bartender’s attitude. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with no warmth at all and seemed annoyed that we were there. When I ordered a Valpolicella, she abruptly said, “What?” I repeated the order, and she rolled her eyes before turning to another server and mocking both me and the way I pronounced it. As a Canadian who doesn’t speak Italian, that felt unnecessarily rude and embarrassing. After that interaction, we were essentially ignored for the rest of the evening. What should have been a fun and memorable first night in Italy turned into a really uncomfortable experience. Hospitality and basic respect go a long way, especially with tourists who are making an effort. Sadly, this was one of the worst bar experiences I’ve had.

15/05/2026: I had a truly wonderful experience at Pizzeria Metropoli. The welcome was fantastic: the staff were kind, smiling, and attentive; I immediately felt at home. As a Neapolitan, I also really appreciated the uniqueness and diversity of the pizzas offered. My partner had a pizza, which I, of course, also tried 😄, and it was truly excellent, with original and very balanced combinations. One thing that really struck me was the presentation of my salad, served in a pizza crust shell: a unique idea, beautiful to look at, and incredibly delicious! My compliments for the creativity and atmosphere; I'll definitely be back!

27/03/2026: We discovered it almost by chance, but found it good in some respects, less so in others. Its strong points are the cheese/deli/delicatessen counter with a good selection of products. Another highlight is the pasta, with good brands. The wine shop also has a wide selection, divided by region. The fishmonger's and fruit and vegetable counters are a bit less so. It also features a bar where you can relax before and after shopping, and convenient indoor and outdoor parking.

07/05/2026: Kyoto is a truly excellent deli for those who want to eat well, spend little, and have generous portions. The menu is very varied, featuring both sushi and Asian first and second courses, so there's always plenty of choice. The rice noodles are truly delicious, as are the udon: flavorful, well-made, and in generous portions. You can tell the dishes are well-prepared, and the value for money is truly excellent. Plus, they're super quick with service, which is great for both a lunch break and takeout. Affordable prices, good, and plentiful food: it's truly worth it!

26/01/2026: It was a rainy Saturday evening for a Sardinian musical pilgrim (now in his first quarter century!) who happened to spend a Saturday night in Conegliano for a tribute concert to the Italian rock band Pooh. The only two bars open at midnight in the center were somewhat disappointing... and then, on the way back to the sheepfold, outside the center, this little Arcadian corner appeared by chance, pleasant for its atmosphere, its selection of food and menu, and its friendly staff. Recommended, I'll be back on my next pilgrimage to the Veneto region.

01/02/2026: There are bars, but real osterias are something else entirely. Mario is wonderful, and Paola's cooking is exactly what you'd expect from an osteria in Veneto: warm, home-made, and made with love. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you!
