07/01/2026: Just had our third visit to this great restaurant, to be confirmed our opinion. Worth visiting, in Castelfranco Veneto adjacent to the historic center this place won us over with its refined cuisine, modern in the presentation of the dishes but which recalls tradition in the use of carefully chosen products. Some also ownly produced, with the recovery of ancient and little-known plants. An end of year dinner that we will remember. All the dishes would each require a detailed description, but the calamarata and the saddle of venison definitely delighted us. Finally a wine list worthy of being called a story. Congratulations, very good.

14/02/2026: Beautiful, original venue. A touch of retro and modern at the same time. Impeccable service. Friendly staff and wonderful hospitality. The food (the ones we ate) was excellent. I've only been there once. Prices are reasonable for the place. If you don't want to eat, there's a "pub" area where you can enjoy excellent drinks with quality products. Highly recommended!!!

09/02/2026: A classic restaurant with an elegant interior and carefully prepared dishes. Traditionally inspired menu with some interesting pairings. Decent wine selection 🍷 The restaurant is easily accessible and also has a large parking lot in the back, although it's not immediately obvious.

01/02/2026: A spacious and modern restaurant with delicious dishes. The staff is professional and attentive to each guest, making them feel at ease. Outside the restaurant is a small park where you can take a stroll in the fresh air. The dessert is a delight!!!

Local, organic ingredients are expertly prepared and slow-cooked to enhance their flavors. Moreno expertly explains the menu and ingredients in the dining room, a poetic display that whets the appetite and enhances the value of the dishes.

27/02/2026: This is a real shame to have to post this but i feel the need to share a transparent review. Rooms are standard, view of the castle walls is incredible though. I do have one MAJOR issue. I was in my room while the cleaning lady came through one day. She cleaned the bathroom and then, to my utter dismay and disgust, when she went to get fresh towels and placed them IN THE BOWL OF THE BIDET. People wash their dirty bums in there. I DONT CARE how well you scrub it, or how much bleach you use. That is a CLEAR health code violation and its also just simply DISGUSTING. I stood there frozen in shock. And she spoke NO English so trying to say anything was pointless. I literally threw the towels right on the floor and grabbed new ones from the cart in the hallway. Do better, because thats down right disgusting. I would not recommend any best western, but this sets a new low bar.

31/01/2026: Dropped by for a business lunch. A first course: Venere rice with vegetables and shrimp. Delicious, and a truly generous portion. Followed by a mixed salad. Water and coffee. €20.00. Lots of choice, and definitely worth returning for. Highly recommend.

19/12/2025: I had Venere risotto with shrimp and vegetables. They brought me a small plate, "more than enough." There were too many vegetables for four people, and the shrimp were nonexistent, so I couldn't eat anything else. The price was moderate, but the food didn't seem high-quality.

23/08/2025: It wasn't our first time at Trattoria Al Boccolo in Castelfranco Veneto, and as always, the experience was a pleasant one. On our way to Valdobbiadene, we stopped for lunch and were greeted by Fabio, who, with his warmth and friendliness, created a truly family-like atmosphere. The restaurant is intimate and well-kept, with soft background music that accompanies the moment without disturbing. We were welcomed with a delicious entrée, then my daughter enjoyed a flavorful tagliatella with ragù, made with love and attention to detail. My wife and I chose the tagliata di Sorana: thin, tender slices, seasoned simply with Maldon salt and Lake Garda oil, accompanied by baked potatoes and pan-fried carrots, all from their own garden. The Ripasso della Valpolicella recommended by Fabio rounded out a lunch that confirms this trattoria as an unmissable stop.
