We were greeted with genuine warmth, making us feel immediately at home. The staff is highly knowledgeable, not only about the dishes but also about the culture behind them, and expertly guides us through the selection of dishes, explaining ingredients and traditions. The appetizers were an excellent introduction. The freshness of the ingredients and the balance of spices immediately made it clear that we were in the presence of "Gourmex" cuisine, as their name suggests: authentic and refined. Each bite was an explosion of flavors that prepared the palate for the very best. The highlight of the dinner was undoubtedly the tacos. Not your average taco, but a gastronomic work of art: succulent meat, perfect marinades, and above all, the combination with the fantastic, creamy, and flavorful black beans and the specially selected salsas, each designed to enhance the nuances of the filling. The care in pairing ingredients and textures was palpable, demonstrating a profound knowledge of authentic Mexican cuisine. If the savory dishes had convinced, the desserts simply triumphed. Strictly prepared on-site, they are the hallmark of a cuisine that leaves nothing to chance. 12/10/2025: I found this restaurant by chance while searching on Google, but it was a truly delightful stroke of luck. A TRUE Mexican restaurant with typical dishes and traditional flavors. The place is very well-kept, tidy, and clean. A pleasant atmosphere where conversation is easy. Everything was exceptional, but I was particularly impressed by the adobo ribs and the Quesadillas. We'll definitely be back. The service was attentive, fast, and friendly. You can see the care and passion they put into it. Highly recommended. We returned last night, and I can confirm the very positive review.

08/11/2025: I'll start by saying I come here quite often for both breakfast and dinner. And 3⭐️ is for breakfast! The line is endless, and so far no problem. It's known and we wait. Then she arrives. She skips everyone and says, "We sat over there and I'd like..." and lists the things to order. No one said, "Ma'am, first you order and pay (like everyone else does), then you sit!" That's because that way they can go around the tables and the poor souls who order have to sit down! But it doesn't end there! The two of them, the Misses, arrive, sit down, obviously without ordering, go to the cashier, see the line, and stop a waitress to place their order. She nicely brings them what they'd asked for. Double standards, in short. Personally, I think the place is good, the staff is kind, but this needs fixing. It's simply a matter of honesty, of people who do things well and respect others!

30/10/2025: I have some experience with the restaurants run by the Alajmo brothers today, and their father before, and what always makes the difference in places like this is the staff and the customer service, as well as, of course, the quality of the food. What I've always liked about their cuisine is that it's always simple, yet never banal or predictable. The onion soup with white truffle and the pumpkin risotto with Castelmagno cheese were excellent. The sore point this time was the service, alas. For a dinner of two glasses of Chianti, an appetizer, and two main courses, the bill came to €195. At first, it seemed strange, but since I was with my partner, I didn't want to discuss the bill in front of her. Two days later, thinking about it, it seemed truly outrageous, and indeed, instead of two glasses of Chianti for €9 each, I found a bottle on my receipt for €98. I called, and they actually confirmed there had been a mistake on their part, and they apologized and said they'd wire me the difference. I would have expected a breakfast invitation as an apology instead of a simple email, but that's fine. The important thing is to always check, even in places like this.

20/10/2025: A classic osteria, but with horse meat. The gnocchi, tagliata, and straecche are spectacular. Even those who don't like horse meat will be satisfied with the classic or tomato ragù, and the Vicenza-style cod. Roast potatoes and beans all'uccelletto are worthy side dishes. It's hard not to find something authentic that will satisfy the palate. Fast service and long-standing owners, always attentive to the needs of their guests. It's best to book to secure a table.

23/11/2025: After a second visit to this restaurant, I can't help but write a review. It was recommended to me by a local, and rarely has a recommendation been more appropriate. The place is cozy and quiet, the staff extremely friendly and attentive to every need, and the cuisine is excellent: from the quality of the ingredients to their preparation. I tasted eight dishes in total, all well above average (special mention for the pasta e fagioli and the pumpkin tart, excellent vegetarian options). I've already named it my "favorite place" for every time I return to Padua. I highly recommend anyone who lives nearby to try it: it's hard to be disappointed.
