10/04/2025: My wife and I had one of the most wonderful dining experience at Ristorante Al Lumin last night. From the moment we stepped inside, we were enveloped in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The service was truly exceptional, thanks to the incredibly kind lady who looked after us. We suspect she might be the owner, and if so, her passion for the restaurant truly shines through.
But let's talk about the food – simply divine! My wife started with the duck liver sandwich, which was an absolute revelation. For main course, I had the laser-cut Angus tagliata, and the presentation alone was a work of art. The beef was cooked to perfection, incredibly tender, and bursting with flavor.
For dolci we indulged in the chocolate fondante. Oh my goodness! It was warm, gooey chocolate heaven that melted in our mouths. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already outstanding meal.
Ristorante Al Lumin is a true culinary gem hidden in the Dolomites. Highly, highly recommended!

22/03/2025: Pausa pranzo tra una sciata e l'altra,tra bar, self-service, panini e griglia per pollo e polenta, tanta scelta a prezzi non esagerati. Si trova posto dentro o fuori comode poltrone per chi arriva prima!!!
20/03/2025: Abbiamo una casa di vacanza a Zoldo e amiamo pranzare al Rifugio Su'n Paradis sia d'inverno che d'estate: l'accoglienza è fantastica, il cibo super gustoso e il panorama uno tra i nostri preferiti della valle, con il Civetta a portata di mano! Quest'anno siamo riusciti a organizzare anche la cena con il trasporto in motoslitta ed è stata un'esperienza unica, anche per i bambini che si sono divertiti tantissimo con il mago ospite della serata! Grazie di tutto, ripeteremo sicuramente!

16/02/2025: Real cabin, very characteristic and pretty, in a quiet location away from the classic "casino" and that's what we're looking for. Simple place, not "signature". Handy and pleasant staff, they know what they do in the kitchen. Honest prices. Do you want some advice?...go there during this period, absolutely in the evening, with snowshoes (head lamps!), perhaps accompanied by a guide. You will immerse yourself in a fairy tale and if you are lucky with the weather, you will literally be immersed in a dream, between the glittering snow and the starry sky, with the Owl above you that seems to touch it and the Pelmo in the background observing you from above. You will be projected into another dimension. On the way out (with a bit of a very doable climb) head into the woods (please, with a guide!) and on the return with an easy, more direct and faster "walk", enjoy the cold winter silence. Watch your breath swirl above you. You will be fireflies in the darkness of the snowy forest, pure emotion, trust me!

18/04/2025: The La Stube del Patriarca restaurant is already a tradition in every ski season in Val di Zoldo. Year after year we return, and it always welcomes us with that warm, authentic and welcoming atmosphere that makes it one of the most special corners of the area. The meat is simply spectacular: tasty, juicy and served in the Alpine style, with care and generosity. A perfect place to recharge your batteries after a day of skiing and let yourself be carried away by Italian mountain hospitality. We will return, without a doubt. As usual.
08/03/2025: Bel posto tipico con piatti buoni e della zona..prezzo medio…gradita la prenotazione perché sempre pieno..a differenza di altri locali ti accolgono con un sorriso e un benvenuto…sarebbe scontato ma non lo è e si apprezza sempre…frequentato da gente del posto …e si vede che ci si trova bene

01/03/2025: Ennesima esperienza pessima. Ci hanno cacciato dal tavolo dopo 32 minuti che era arrivata la pizza, in modo scortese e per nulla educato, invitandoci a non presentarci più.

30/03/2025: Quick pizza dinner with my wife. Polite and friendly staff. Tasty and well cooked pizzas. Quick service. In the end they "fixed" me with an apricot and amaretti mousse which was delicious!
18/03/2025: It was a safe heaven during a stormy snowy night. We entered and were welcomed to sit at a very cozy spot. Very fun menus with local ingredients and original pizzas. The pizza is napolitean style, which is incredibily well made for the north of italy. Flavours combine perfectly. Although the spicy pizza could have been more spicy. We also had some decadent deserts notably the stewed pear with chocolate and red wine syrup (i personally think was the star of the deserts). The service was superb, very welcoming staff, that translated everything in english for non italian speakers in our group. They even gave us some free homemade antifreeze (grappa) for our way out in the storm to get home.

11/03/2025: Congratulations on a triple record breaking gulash. First it was the slowest gulash ever, 32 minutes from ordering to arriving. Second record goes to it being the most expensive gulash ever, even by dolomites prices. 3rd record is that it was the most tasteless and most reheated gulash ever, look at the photo and you will see the meat is completely hard on the surface, it was like trying to eat old boots. Those last pieces we gave up on. I showed it to them and in fact would have sent it back uneaten but then how long for something else to come ( the people before us ordered pasta and they were still waiting 10 minutes after us). Lastly, when ordering we were asked fries or polenta and chose the first option but it arrived with the second (in fact half the orders seemed to be wrong) but they then were good enough to correct this by adding a portion of fries. We wish they hadn't as to top it all off the fries were cooked in old old oil leaving a feeling of nausea after just a few. In 17 years l live here this was by far the worst thing I've ever been served anywhere in the Alps.

Rudeness and lack of communication. After three days of booking we asked for cancellation due to illness, requesting a partial penalty or a change of date. They could have canceled even just one day. Nothing, they collected the entire stay.
29/11/2024: A NIGHTMARE
If I could give less than 0 I would.
My boyfriend and I spent a surreal night to say the least. Around 2am I woke up with a soaked head because it had started raining inside. My boyfriend comes down and there was no one at the reception. He finds a gentleman in the courtyard outside, who doesn't even work for them, but was there to do some odd jobs, who comes to see the leak and as a solution suggests moving the bed further away. We insist on having another room to at least have dry sheets. The next morning we tell us what happened and they reply "it could happen". They promised us a voucher to return which to date has not yet arrived. The incident occurred a year ago. I would attach photos of the trickle of water on my pillow but I can't.

25/08/2024: È sempre una delle mete preferite per una escursione in Valzoldana durante le ferie estive. Buoni i primi, ma il cinghiale in umido è speciale, come le costine di agnello. Varia scelta di dolci (basta non arrivare troppo tardi) e una grappa particolare, gentilmente offerta, non manca mai per chiudere degnamente il pasto. Ci si arriva comodamente da Pecol in ovovia, ma anche con dei sentieri molto piacevoli. C'è anche un bel parco giochi per far divertire i più piccoli, mentre i genitori possono prendere il sole sulle sdraio.
