31/03/2024: Abbiamo cenato in questo locale al Centro di Catania la vigilia di Pasqua. Tutto buonissimo!!! Abbiamo ordinato due tagliate di carne ed una carbonara. Carne tenerissima, servita in verdure e scaglie di caciocavallo. Il personale gentilissimo, soprattutto il proprietario: non è scontato. Che dire, consigliatissimo!!!. 24/03/2024: Gluten free not safe. I have been a customer several times, I usually get the usual ice cream: fiordilatte with white chocolate cream. Gluten free obviously. No grains. COMPLETELY WHITE ICE CREAM. This morning, while I was eating it from the cup, I saw several brown "things". I take a napkin and, without making a fuss, I remove the first one. Then I remove the second, then the third and so on. At a certain point, WITH EXTREME EDUCATION, I go to the shop assistants to ask for explanations on the nature of these brownish "things". The orders: "they will be grains". I didn't have an ice cream with sprinkles. And then, what grains? With gluten? Gluten free? Or are they pieces of brioche, waffles, or other flavored ice creams? We don't know. The fact is that both sales assistants not only couldn't give me an explanation, but they also clearly took me for an idiot, as if I was saying something that was beyond human understanding. And those who were with me also noticed this behavior. Always with extreme politeness, I end the conversation by suggesting to be careful next time, because someone could get hurt. And so congratulations to the Fiordilatte staff, you are legendary.

27/03/2024: I don't usually write negative reviews because I understand the difficulties behind professions that require manual work, but this time I had a really bad experience for which I feel like leaving this comment. I booked a "burn reveal cake" for my birthday confident in the work of this pastry shop (even after seeing the posts on their Instagram page that sponsored this type of cake). The first difficulty encountered concerns the packaging of the cake, which is impossible to transport in any type of car due to the unsuitable size of the box. But I certainly wouldn't have written this comment if I hadn't had other problems. Once I got home, I immediately put the cake in the fridge, after being reassured over and over again that, even if I had cut it the day after picking it up, I would have found it in the same condition as when I picked it up. Half a day after I collected it, however, I noticed a very unpleasant surprise (photo): all the dye had strangely dripped from the bottom in large quantities, also causing a profound alteration of the initial color. I try to clean it up as best I can to take it to the venue and it happens again during the cutting of the cake in front of all the guests who are unpleasantly amazed. As if that wasn't enough, the effect of the fire totally fails, even causing several "pieces of burnt wafer" to fall onto the layer that was then supposed to be eaten. Last but not least, I had requested the writing "I AM EATING A NORMAL" and, visibly following a careless error, I find myself reading "EATING" perhaps due to the lack of attention paid during the creation. All for a price of over €100. I'm sorry, but I won't be coming back again and I don't recommend it.

26/03/2024: Non sono solita a scrivere recensioni negative perché capisco le difficoltà che ci sono alle spalle delle professioni che richiedono lavorazioni manuali, ma questa volta ho avuto un esperienza davvero pessima per la quale mi sento di lasciare questo commento. Ho prenotato una “burn reveal cake” per il mio compleanno fiduciosa del lavoro di questa pasticceria (anche dopo aver visto i post sulla pagina Instagram che sponsorizzavano proprio questa tipologia di torta). La prima difficoltà riscontrata riguarda il packaging della torta, impossibile da trasportare in qualsiasi tipologia di auto per via delle dimensioni improponibili della scatola. Ma non avrei di certo scritto questo commento se non avessi avuto altri problemi. Arrivata a casa, metto immediatamente la torta in frigo, dopo essere stata rassicurata più e più volte che, anche se l’avessi tagliata il giorno dopo averla ritirata l’avrei ritrovata nelle stesse condizioni di quando l’ho ritirata. Mezza giornata dopo averla ritirata invece mi accorgo di una spiacevolissima sorpresa (foto): tutto il colorante era stranamente colato dal fondo in ingenti quantità causando anche una profonda alterazione del colore iniziale. Cerco di ripulirla al meglio che posso per portarla al locale e accade nuovamente durante il taglio della torta di fronte tutti gli invitati che rimangono sgradevolmente sbalorditi. Come se non bastasse, l’effetto del fuoco fa totalmente cilecca, causando addirittura la caduta di diversi “pezzi di cialda bruciata” sullo strato che poi doveva essere mangiato. Dulcis in fundo, avevo richiesto la scritta “SONO A MANGIARE UNA NORMA” e, visibilmente in seguito ad un errore di distrazione mi ritrovo a leggere “MANGARE” forse per la poca attenzione dedicata durante la realizzazione. Il tutto per un prezzo di oltre 100€. Mi dispiace, ma non tornerò più e mi sento di sconsigliarlo.

12/03/2024: I wanted to have a quick coffee and send a few emails in the morning but I was told I couldn't use the WiFi to work until after 15.30h ... the place was empty ... weird experience. Good way to push away customers :D So I went across the street to Claff - great service, prices and charging while working. Saved! Edit on 12 March - replying to Daniel's reply to my review: your reply is very revealing. It now makes a lot of sense why your "multifunctional space" can't offer basic Wi-Fi or why it turns customers away without a reason even at a time when there is nobody else to serve ... not very functional ;) Good luck!

27/03/2024: Consigliato da un amico di Catania, abbiano cenato in tre in questo ristorante molto elegante in Corso d'Italia, una delle vie migliori della città. Abbiamo optato per una selezione di antipasti crudi e delle tempure, accompagnati da un Berlucchi. Locale molto bello, servizio non invadente, serata perfetta.

16/03/2024: Ho festeggiato il mio quarantesimo compleanno in questo interessante ristorante. Quello che ti colpisce di più inizialmente è il design e l’architettura degli interni, le luci calde accolgono gli ospiti con il giusto mood. Arredamento ricercato e mai banale. Si nota subito, con piacere, la disponibilità e la cordialità del personale, camerieri esperti e sempre pronti a consigliarti il giusto piatto da gustare. Cibo ottimo, prodotti di qualità ed esclusività nei sapori. Conto adeguato alla cena. P.s una nota stonata, pare un po’ “così” inserire nel conto anche il servizio taglio torta. A rimediare però il fatto che ci è stato offerto il digestivo.
