31/08/2025: August 16th. I booked, drawn by the elegant and varied online menu. Once I arrived, I discovered that the actual menu was completely different, focusing on fish and truffles: an unpleasant surprise for a restaurant at 2,035 meters above sea level. At aperitif time, they offered us a "tagliere di snacchiere" (appetizer platter) for €5 per person. We accepted, expecting small, varied and carefully selected tastings. Instead, we received a plate of modest-quality cured meats and cheeses, obviously with truffles, and without bread or breadsticks. Then, at the cash register, a small miracle of arithmetic occurred: the price of €10 became €18. Evidently, the high altitude also influences the math. The table reserved for dinner, booked in advance, wasn't ready. Curious, considering there were only three other tables occupied in the dining room and a large staff. The dinner didn't lift my spirits. Overall, the feeling was that of receiving a favor rather than a service. The main courses arrived cold: warm arrosticini with still-frozen vegetables and an undressed salad. Bread, oil, and salt never arrived: details that should be standard in a restaurant. To complete the experience, the restaurant manager thought it best to eat from a gigantic bowl with a spoon, calmly, for over an hour, while sitting at the counter: a very unglamorous spectacle for a diner. All it took was ten minutes to step away and at least keep up appearances. Total for dinner at a bar: about €130 for two. A price that should guarantee care and attention, not a series of oversights and improvisations. It's a shame, because with different management and a minimum of staff training, the potential is there.

27/08/2025: Food ok but ordered chips that did not arrive even after waiting 45 mins and asking the waiter where they were; he replied they were on their way but never materialised. Service slow, curt, they clearly don't want passing trade. A service is added which is a joke as service so poor. Eat elsewhere if you are in the vicinity.

27/05/2025: Local present on Glovo, they confirm your orders and then don't deliver them to you, they disappear and don't even answer the phone during the hours they are open anyway!

10/03/2025: They are no longer the same owners, they have changed management and still keep the name of the old place. Thinking of taking it from the old management I ended up with a kebab shop pizza, which with all due respect has a dough that I struggle to call a pizza. At least have the decency to update the site so people know what they're up against

31/05/2025: You don't advertise a tiramisu that isn't it: if I order a tiramisu I expect the classic dessert, not a cup of ice cream with a ladyfinger at the bottom of the glass cup and a sprinkling of cocoa on top... bear with me, if I wanted tiramisu-flavored ice cream I would have ordered it, don't you think?

05/07/2025: Once we arrived at the Refuge we sat down and were welcomed by a kind and friendly waiter. And that's where the positive things end. A mediocre lunch with very poor quality polenta, accompanied by bowls of sausage, gorgonzola cream, bagna cauda cream, chickpeas and peas (!?) jam and rubbery polenta au gratin, followed by desserts. The cost, in relation to the quality, was judged, by us, to be absolutely inadequate (very high). If a friend asks me what is best to do for lunch at Pian del Re I will advise him to prepare some good sandwiches at home.

29/06/2025: Poor food and poorly maintained structure. A real waste considering the privileged position both for the Sunday outing and for those who pass by here with greater hiking or mountaineering ambitions.

16/05/2025: Good pizza, but terrible delivery service....50 minutes late and every time I called to complain they told me it had just left.

11/05/2025: We have been ordering from this pizzeria for years but tonight's experience was somewhat disappointing. The pizzas arrived on time but the toppings were completely spilled inside the carton. We had to scoop them up with a spoon to put them back on the pizza. We called the place to report what happened, asking them to be more careful, but the response we got was "I'm messed up at the moment". This doesn't seem like correct behavior to us and it made everything much more unpleasant.

23/01/2025: This place service owner Gino and waiter Bello are top all wishes were optimally fulfilled when it comes to food quality and service there is nothing in the area that beats all of this. Fish pizza everything here is made in traditional Neapolitan cuisine with heart and soul.

03/11/2024: Absolutely avoid. What is offered on the menu is not then served on the plate: sea bass fillet with shrimp, a chef's sauce on the menu, served two small grilled fillets with baked potatoes and 2 slices of frozen tomatoes. It's okay that an ingredient isn't available, but they don't even tell you. At the tables next door it was even worse, they refused the dish and took a carbonara... which arrived when the others were at the café and they had the bacon... the charcoal colored one. This is not to mention the discussion based on swearing and teasing between the host of the restaurant and the waiter of the restaurant next door. Disgusting. (Photo of the "receipt" released.

06/06/2025: I'm sorry but I have to give one star because we ordered a hamburger and two pizzas and after half an hour they still hadn't arrived. Too slow. They told me they would arrive in 10 minutes then in 5 minutes and in the end nothing. They hadn't started doing it yet. The staff justifies themselves by saying that the pizzas and the hamburger should have been brought together and that the hamburger should have taken longer to cook... We felt like we were being taken for a ride. They made us pay for drinks and also 1 cover charge.

20/07/2025: Bellissima scoperta, napoli a baveno. Il cuoppo è fantastico, pasta mista patate e provola e spaghetti con le polpette. Che dire fantastico e la cameriera simpatica e molto capace Lo consiglio e sicuramente ci ritorneremo

05/07/2025: Éste fue el servicio más desagradable y grosero que he experimentado en el mundo en 55 años. Nuestro camarero, Antonio, dijo que no era posible compartir una pizza. Debes pedir 2 . Cuando quisimos compartir algo con otros viajeros dijo: No es posible. Los viajeros se fueron. No pedimos más comida y nos marchamos. La pizza era mediocre. Ahórrese la experiencia de un hombre que intenta débilmente vender más productos a sus clientes. Crecí en el negocio de la restauración y fui dueño de uno durante 26 años. Como italiano, es una vergüenza para nuestra cultura. Cruza la calle hasta The Clipper Bar. Podrás sentarte en el lago Maggiore con vistas y una gran hospitalidad por parte de Giverna y el personal,

10/07/2025: Dopo la visita ad una mostra, ci siamo fermati da 049 per la cena. Ambiente grande, ben arredato con un bel bancone (in un’altra occasione abbiamo consumato un buon caffè), piuttosto rumoroso ma non sgradevole. Personale veloce e professionale. Abbiamo scelto: Insalata 049 (insalata mista, pomodorini, Olive nere, carote, patate al vapore, toma, uovo sodo, salsa di senape); Hamburger 09 (200 gr. Di carne, salsa barbecue, bacon, cipolla caramellata, lattuga e patate fritte). Accompagnati da una bottiglia di bollicine. Siamo stati soddisfatti sia del cibo che del servizio. Prezzi corretti. 08/04/2025: Dopo una visita alle mostre, sempre piavevolissime e ben gestite al Castello di Novara, è comodo fermarsi nel dehor di questo locale. Bella la vista sulla piazza e sulle mura del castello mentre osserviamo il passeggio e il via vai dei clienti sotto un caldo sole primaverile. Comode le sedute, solidi e adeguati i tavolini in metallo. Il servizio è discretamente veloce, compatibilmente con l'affollamento che nelle ore canoniche non manca. Il dubbio è fra un aperitivo con qualche sfiziosita' o un più classico menu ( panini, piadine, toast, insalatone e qualche altro piatto). Scegliamo una piadina con prosciutto crudo San Daniele, squaquerone e rucola (7 €) e un maxi toast (5 €). Da bere una tonica alla spina (4 €) e una mezza minerale (2 €). La piadina è ben imbottita e decisamente buona, lo stesso vale per il toast. Il personale è gentile e attento. Con il coperto (1,5 €), spendiamo in tutto 21 euro per una piacevole pausa ristoratrice.

14/06/2025: Non capisco all' entrata iniziale c'è scritto agriturismo all' entrata principale ristorante bo comunque bel posto ma non ho capito il menù strano antipasti nulla di piemontese i primi uguale x di più salati vini non si è saputo cosa erano i secondi base patate con carne Bo

13/06/2025: Ci siamo sposati la settimana scorsa, servizio impeccabile, location bellissima e tutto super allestito senza tralasciare nessuno dettaglio !!! Ci tornerò sicuramente per qualche pranzo o cena, ci siamo trovati super bene! Anche le camere super accoglienti! Grazie tutto a tutto lo staff ❤️

28/06/2025: Con molto dispiacere devo lasciare una recensione pessima. Premetto che sono cliente della nave dei folli quando era su strada della rezza da almeno una decina di anni e mi sono sempre trovato molto molto bene infatti ho consigliato il locale a tantissime persone. Questa sera ero molto curioso di provare il nuovo locale di viale Fasano. Ho preso un galletto, sulla descrizione nel menù era indicato che fosse morbido e con la pelle croccante.....invece a me ed a un mio amico è arrivato un piatto con un pollo pallido che sembrava il pollo bollito degno di un ospedale inoltre aveva un sapore quantomeno strano. Alle mie lamentele e, dopo aver mandato indietro il piatto dopo un primo assaggio, ho ricevuto le scuse del personale ma quando sono arrivato in cassa mi aspettavo che il piatto non mi fosse addebitato invece mi hanno tolto 5€ dagli 11€ del costo del piatto...quindi ho pagato 7€ per un piatto di pollo bollito che non ho neanche mangiato. Alle mie lamentele la ragazza mi ha detto che non poteva fare di più e che non aveva una referente a cui chiedere e che avrebbe fatto presente la situazione ai titolari. Purtroppo sono rimasto molto deluso e amareggiato da questo comportamento non me lo sarei mai aspettato dopo tutti questi anni. Alla luce di questo comportamento credo proprio che non mi vedranno più e, a malincuore, non consiglierò mai più questo locale.

13/06/2025: Locale conosciuto tempo fà che si trovava fuori Chieri dove trovavi tante cose sfiziose ...gnocchi fritti...panzerotti fritti...panini particolari...patatine alla paprika e tante altre cose e molte birre. Adesso si è trasferito a Chieri ed ha mantenuto solamente il NOME. Locale rumorosissimo...i fritti non ci sono più solo dei grissini fritti con un taglierino...per il resto hamburger banali ( che trovi ovunque) i primi piatti e secondi patate al forno e le classiche patatine...birre le solite!!! Un grande dispiacere

14/07/2025: La scorsa settimana con mio compagno, mi sono recata alle gru a fare un giro per negozi. Abbiamo deciso di fare un aperitivo da dezzutto (mi risulta essere stato comprato dal gruppo gerla). 2 prosecchi al tavolo 14€. Non contesto il prezzo ma alla richiesta di portare delle patatine mi hanno risposto che non erano disponibili e ci dovevamo accontentare delle olive. Servizio scortese. Sconsigliato. Ovviamente 1 stella !

08/06/2025: Gelato spettacolareeee!!! Tornerò sicuramente!! Cameriere gentilissimo che non mi ha fatto pagare il supplemento per il servizio al tavolo!! Gelato veramente STRA BUONO!!!!!

01/05/2025: Before, the old owner was more correct and helpful.. Now the new management is increasingly reducing the size of 🍣 sushi and in many seconds now and side dishes, if you don't take at least 3 dishes, you won't enjoy the portion so minimal. Taking into account the increased price of drinks, wines, coffee and very expensive desserts, alas..., especially ice cream, 5 euros!!! minimum.. for children ???and not at all artisanal... Children pay like adults exceeding 1.30m..even if they eat less than half, I'm sorry,..and the quality compared to the previous management has dropped a lot, alas. I no longer consider it as convenient and good as before, I think, if before you went 3/4 times a month, now we go once every 2 months... with this I hope it helps you... both to the restaurant and to future customers. My opinion.

15/03/2025: We ate for lunch today, it wasn't the first time we ate here, we always had a good time and that's why we came back without looking at the latest reviews which unfortunately I have to confirm... We enter (there is still the Christmas tree, in March, oh well) and immediately a table full of jackets and stuff piled up and we are immediately surprised, in a negative way obviously. We sit down, order and everything arrives in a decidedly acceptable time, the taste is practically the same as always, everything is fine but then, the second round of orders and the catastrophe... A dish arrives immediately and then it's empty, 20 minutes for the second dish and we never saw the others, among other things the grilled salmon we had was finished but no one had the thought to warn us... We pay, behind the cash register a mess of stuff that has nothing to do with catering, dirt and disorder. We have come to the conclusion that management has changed and things have fallen into oblivion... Too bad, we should look for another sushi place for when we return to these parts.
