21/03/2025: I was returning from Arona, where I'd been for a burraco tournament, and I stopped in Santhia. I was completely surprised to see the historic Carnival parade, which was absolutely beautiful. I highly recommend seeing it; it's every bit as beautiful as the more famous one in Viareggio. Thousands of participants, spectacular, enormous floats. I stopped at the Giardini bar for just a sandwich and found myself right in the middle of the parade. I've attached a photo to give you an idea of ​​the atmosphere and the floats.

16/08/2025: We used to come very often for a delicious gelato at Davide's; we're also friends with the previous owners, until they closed. Now we're used to going to a nearby gelateria... Yesterday it was very crowded, so we decided to try the gelato at the reborn Davide's, which, as I wrote before it closed, we'd been going to for many years. In fact, after my father-in-law passed away, my mother-in-law wanted to move back home to Lavagna, and now we live here on two floors. We still have our house in Livorno on Via degli Scarronzoni, right in front of the Due Comandi. From our two-story home, I can also see the Torre Folgore and the sea. I've known this Gelateria for at least 20 years... And I must say, the new guys are kind... Good at their job. Only those of us who've tasted the old Davide's gelato can notice small differences, but the gelato is excellent, the service is fast, and they're kind. We sat at the outside tables, our 25-kg puppy comfortably seated. We ate our ice cream sundaes.... A small flaw.....the flavors we'd chosen, which were listed on the list they brought to our table, were missing. However, the ones we chose at the table were delicious. 17/09/2025: It's a shame the restaurant has so few customers, because the pizza is among the best I've ever eaten. And the service is very good.

10/09/2025: Truly shameful. They pass off a sea bass fillet as fresh, but it's actually defrosted and inedible. I understand why their restaurant terrace is empty and the others are full. The wait is incredibly long.

14/08/2025: dont understand the bad reviews at all. - service was super friendly and attentive, gave good recommendations - there is some waiting time but given everything is made freshly i am happy to wait - minestrone, scaloppine and lasagna was the best we had in liguria so far, chocolate/pistacchio soufflé was beyond expectations would definitely come back 🤍
