03/09/2025: I come here sometimes for breakfast. The pastries and savory dishes are good quality. Unfortunately, the service is slow, and when it's crowded, the waits are too long. The atmosphere could be better in terms of cleanliness (outdoor tables and floors), given the prices. When I come to Gino Fabbri, I always expect the best. I'll definitely be back.

01/08/2025: Before leaving this review, I wanted to try the place several times, and the overall rating is positive regarding the gluten-free options. The staff are attentive and friendly, even though they don't have a dedicated kitchen. Thank you.

26/07/2025: For me, the best all-you-can-eat in the city. Fusion with Brazilian influences, lots of fresh fruit like the divine passion fruit paired with carpaccio and tartare. Wider selection of nigiri, the only AYCE restaurant to offer scallops! Quick and friendly staff.

13/08/2025: A regular customer for takeout for years, at least once every 10 days. In my last takeout order, rice gnocchi, I found a fly squashed between two gnocchi. Unacceptable. I wonder what the state of the kitchen is in. Cancelled

28/07/2025: Convenient hotel for reaching the center of San Giovanni in Persiceto and the Lamborghini Museum, which is just a few kilometers away, in just a few minutes. Clean rooms, but in need of some work. The mini-bar could use a refresher with a few more drinks and perhaps some snacks. The complimentary toiletries were well-stocked, although the shower cap box was empty. The reception staff were friendly and very courteous. The breakfast host was attentive, although he was a bit imprecise with what I requested. There's ample parking and disabled access. A special mention goes to the bed, which, despite being a single, was a very good size and comfortable. Lastly, I would have liked to find a pillow and blanket in the closet because, for personal reasons, I need to wrap up warm at night, so much so that I turned off the air conditioning.

17/07/2025: The shorter/bald manager (Massimo?) with the hand brace was quite rude and unprofessional. I am from the US on a business trip, and when we didn’t quite understand each other (I asked not to be seated next to the kitchen door where they were banging dishes around during the main dinner service (which is unprofessional in the first place considering the dining room has 22 of 25 tables open), in the dining room with other people he raised his voice and exclaims with his hand “DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?!” And made a scene in front of everyone. Obviously I speak English, it was intended to be a childish insult from a childish and small man, and was quite unprofessional and lacking of professionalism. The table they insisted I then sit at afterword was dirty, and the waiter brought me the wrong food after I specifically asked for the dish I saw someone else eating, which looked pretty good. I was too tired from travel and this childish behavior to insist on the correct order. The food wasn’t terrible, but every other meal I have had in Italy was far better. On another occasion I simply asked for “an extra pillow,” from the same guy, Massimo, since he was at the front desk, and you would think I was asking him to conduct rocket science by the difficulty and unsettling energy he brought to the encounter. Staring at me with crazy intense eyes like a weirdo. I don’t know how this place calls itself “4 stars,” when it is this outdated, inhospitable, and unkind in service, but I certainly will never stay here again. It isn’t difficult to be hospitable, it just takes intent, but if you have a childish and rude attitude, then you obviously shouldn’t be in this line of work, and perhaps need to see a therapist. This was a very poor stay for the money they charge compared with anywhere else in Europe I have been. In the 70+ nights I have stayed in a hotel in Europe, I have never encountered someone who acted so unprofessional and made my stay uncomfortable like this rude little man did. The two older gentleman working the kitchen/dining room, and lady at the desk were kind and professional however, as the only saving grace. Plenty of nicer and kinder places, (without tiny, old, uncomfortable beds) to spend your money.

29/07/2025: Very good sushi, an all-you-can-eat dinner for €23.90 excluding drinks and desserts. One of the best in Bologna. Edit: In 2025, I'll confirm what I said above. Still one of the best in Bologna. Now €27 for dinner. Definitely try the sushi specials, they're amazing.

27/07/2025: A very well-maintained restaurant just outside the walls of Bologna. A very extensive menu of Japanese and/or Asian dishes, good quality but not unforgettable. I come here every now and then and recommend it.

22/08/2025: It was my first time here, and the place was decent. The food wasn't bad. The service has major flaws, from the way the menu is written to not knowing who gets the pizzas, and not paying attention to customer requests.

22/06/2025: My son went there and spent 19 euros eating only fried chicken and it's a shame they were waiting for orders the waiters even touched my son and it's really disrespectful and 1 hour to wait for 4 ravioli I can't believe it

13/08/2025: Super delicious ice cream! I wish I could try more. €3 for two very large scoops of vegan ice cream is reasonable compared to other ice cream parlors. When I was there, there were six vegan, sugar-free flavors. The Bacio was delicious and tasted sweet, and the pistachio ice cream was equally delicious and natural. Highly recommended!

13/08/2025: August 2025 update: Unfortunately, after the guys managed to sell the shop, the rating went from 5 to 1 star. Starting with cleanliness, you can't mop the floor, pick up trash, or serve ice cream without cleaning your hands. Now let's move on to the ice cream: it may be artisanal (the law allows it), but at least use good mixes and store the ice cream properly. When we stopped by at the end of the evening, there were even ice crystals in the dark chocolate. Pistachios couldn't be more chemically processed than this. I'm practically giving them one star; I would have given them less. August 2020: Excellent ice creams, very well made. They also offer vegan options (though I'm not interested). Prices are in line with other ice cream shops (Milanese prices, I'd say) but with quality.
