24/08/2025: While on vacation in the region, we visited this brewery.
We received a warm welcome.
There are no tastings on site.
We purchased a small selection of their beers; all the beers are excellent... we had to go back to bring some back to France!

23/12/2025: Located in the heart of Montone's historic center, a beautiful village, this little cafe and restaurant is a true slice of history. We stopped for a quick lunch, and it was truly relaxing to enjoy a pizza, a salad, and two beers sitting in the little square. A truly wonderful way to start your Umbrian vacation.

08/02/2026: A surprise: we returned by chance after a long time and found a substantial improvement in both the food and the service!
The atmosphere is beautiful and clean, nestled in the beautiful village of Montone.
The bill was reasonable.
I highly recommend it!

La Locanda del Capitano

08/01/2026: My husband and I stayed there on New Year's Eve and left on January 2nd. We both stayed and dined at the Locanda, and it was a wonderful experience! Everyone was very kind, and the dinner was superb! Breakfast was meticulously prepared, with a different dessert made every day by the owner of the Locanda! Highly recommended! We'll be back soon! Buena relación calidad-precio y un excelente menú de comida Italiano .
Una visita obligada si estás en la zona.
10/07/2025: Ondanks het sfeervolle terras en mooie menu-kaart was de service in dit restaurant zwaar ondermaats. De vriendelijke gastvrouw leek de bediening in de zaal alleen te verzorgen waardoor we lang hebben moeten wachten op onze menu-kaart en het opnemen en krijgen van onze drank. Verder kwam de gastvrouw bijna niet op het terras dus iets bijbestellen, verliep moeizaam.
Na meer dan anderhalf uur wachten kregen we onze gerechten. Hierbij kaderend dat elk van ons enkel een hoofdgerecht besteld had; 4 vleesgerechten en 1 pasta. De pasta met mosselen en de ribs waren lekker. De eend was aan de droge kant. De porties waren erg klein in vergelijking met anderen restaurants in de streek. Door de ondermaatse bediening durfden we geen dessert meer bestellen wat maakt dat sommigen onder ons met honger naar huis gegaan zijn.
Over het algemeen was dit één van de duurdere restaurants die we in de streek geprobeerd hebben. De kleine porties en veel te lange wachttijd, maakt dat we dit restaurant slechts een 2 geven. Er zijn veel betere alternatieven in de streek waar je meer waar krijgt voor je geld!

11/09/2024: Posto un pò datato, decisamente da riammodernare perchè a prima vista la sala quella sopra, (non parlo del sotto dove c'è la piscina) non si presenta bene, se infatti dovessi dare una valutazione solo per la location non sarebbe proprio il massimo.. Però si mangia bene, abbiamo preso primi, secondi e dolce con caffè. Tempi di attesa perfetti tra una portata e l'altra, abbiamo apprezzato tutto, in modo particolare i primi piatti, tutto veramente squisito. Gentile e disponibile anche l'operatrice di sala che ci ha seguito, veramente tanto cortese. Consigliato a chi non ha grandi pretese sulla location, ma vuole mangiare bene e si trova di passaggio a Montone. Prezzi in linea.
