31/10/2025: This is a lovely, family run hotel and you can see that in the attention to detail.
Its a little outside Sterzing, but up a bit in the mountains with a fab view, especially the next morning when we walked out of the hotel to discover snow on the mountain tops. We had a big room (the sofa could have been used for 2 kids) and everything was super clean. The small sauna area was a very welcome surprise after a long car journey.
And the food! Wow! I took the 'Surprise Menu' in the evening which is literally what it says. I was asked what I most definitely wouldn't like to eat, but after that I had no clue what I was getting. It did not disappoint! The breakfast was gorgeous too, with lots of fresh fruit and fresh local eggs. All yum!

16/08/2025: A refuge at 1900m offering a restaurant, overnight accommodations, and breakfast.
Reachable by car via a 20-minute drive through the woods: I recommend a slightly higher-capacity vehicle, as the dirt road is potholed, and I don't recommend driving at night, as it's not lit.
Stunning views of the entire valley at sunrise and sunset.
Located at the crossroads of several trails on Monte Cavallo, it's an ideal place if you want to spend a couple of days away from the city and enjoy some nature walks.
We had a great time: excellent food, with the option of a set menu in the evening for overnight guests, and very friendly and helpful staff.
There are some children's games and a volleyball court.

05/09/2025: A lovely little ice cream parlor in a beautiful location. The flavor variations are highly recommended for chocolate lovers, as chocolate is mixed into all flavors. They offer a few unusual varieties. However, you'll have to dig a bit deeper into your pockets than you get back. Pay €1.90 for a scoop and you get a very small cup. In summary, you could say you're paying for the place with the ice cream, which is a bit of a shame.

05/10/2025: Clean hotel and parking available. Self-check-in is mandatory, and then they text me at 7:21 PM that I have to be at the hotel by 8:30 PM for payment... and I have to rush to the hotel, sacrificing my evening (I'm attaching a photo of the conversation). I've never received worse treatment in the hundreds of hotels I've stayed at. Arriving in Italy, after a series of hotels without a bidet, I wanted this Italian convenience, but the bathroom was missing. A pillow was never found, and was so low that I've almost never found it. In short, it needs reconsidering; for €155, I expected more. Rating: seriously inadequate. P.S. After their response, I don't think they could have found solutions even by talking, because there are underlying issues that cannot be resolved.
15/09/2025: €94 for a night in a windowless room, and the owner is a pain in the ass if you buy a takeaway sandwich for breakfast. If I ever pass through Vipiteno again, I definitely won't be back.

06/11/2025: A real highlight! The service was excellent – friendly, attentive, and warm. The cappuccino was simply perfect, and the chestnut pastry was absolutely divine! The cozy, Italian atmosphere invites you to linger. You almost feel like you're on vacation. I'll definitely be back! ☕🍰🇮🇹

06/08/2025: We were miraculously accommodated in the apartment and were absolutely delighted! A wonderful view of the hustle and bustle of the old town, surrounded by historic buildings! The amenities are more than you could possibly need: perfectly furnished, completely modern, and with a new style. 100 points 😀 and 10 thumbs up!
