Ristorante dell'Hotel Goldenes Kreuz In Vipiteno

A decidedly positive experience. Rooms are a bit dated and without a terrace, but very cozy. The mattresses are firm (I like them that way). The room has parquet flooring and a bathroom with a shower. Very clean. We stayed on our cycling trip and they allowed us to charge our e-bike. Breakfast was plentiful and good. In the heart of Vipiteno.

Despite having a reservation, we couldn't get a parking space and had to park about 1 km away on the street in the drizzle. The explanation given was "funeral," which was supposed to elicit understanding, but apparently there weren't enough parking spaces for all the guests anyway. Cleaning staff only came in twice after 9 am while I was still in the shower – they could have waited until check-out. The shower cubicle had no external handle to open it, no hooks for towels, and no toilet paper holder. Great location in the old town, but next time we'll choose a different hotel.

An old but well-maintained house; rooms facing the narrow side street are very quiet. Small but newly equipped bathroom with shower and toilet; comfortable beds without slatted sides! German and Austrian TV channels available; parking is problematic, but there's a large public paid parking lot 100 meters away. Restaurant with good food.

A charming inn with very friendly hosts. I spent two nights there: The rooms are rustic but very clean. I slept very well, and my personal highlight: There's NO carpet in the room. The 5-star rating also applies to the restaurant: The food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious, especially the Kaiserschmarrn (shredded pancake).
