09/11/2024: Family-run restaurant in a fantastic setting with a clear view of 🏰 Tyrol Castle from the sun terrace. Beautiful, very cozy guest rooms with wonderful, traditional wooden paneling. Good selection of South Tyrolean dishes, such as dumplings, apple pancakes, but also home-style cuisine, such as goulash, etc., all freshly prepared and of the best quality. I chose the “Three Cheese Dumplings with Salad” from the daily recommendation and was absolutely thrilled! 😋 Unfortunately, I completely forgot to take the usual snapshot to show in public. 😥 Extremely polite and courteous staff who, despite all the routine, even find a few nice words for strangers. You feel really welcome. Toilets are new and absolutely clean, so very happy ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!

09/11/2024: During the walk that would have taken us to Merano starting from Tirolo, we stumbled upon this wonderful Schloss which also offers restaurant service. On nice days you can dine on the terrace which offers spectacular views of the surrounding panorama. The food is well prepared and tasty, accompanied by an excellent Forst beer, poured to perfection, which in these places can be savored in all its magnificence. Freshly prepared roasted chestnuts were also available. Friendly staff, and price commensurate with the location. Nice experience!

06/12/2024: Went here briefly in October for a wine in the sun. Prices very reasonable. Good wine selection. Great view on the terrace. A great spot a little away from the crowds

28/10/2024: Booked 2 nights in October. Everything was fine. Great location with fantastic views. From the hotel you can wonderfully walk to Merano. The bus stops nearby and you can use it free of charge with the Meran Card, which you get at the hotel. Our room was small, but had a large balcony and there was enough space (cupboards) for luggage. No TV, which didn't bother me personally. The breakfast was great, sausage, cheese, eggs, fruit, some vegetables, cereal, pastries and, above all, fresh, very tasty bread and rolls every day. We had an excellent meal in the hotel's own restaurant. I would recommend making a reservation there. Price-performance ratio is completely fine. Dogs are also welcome. (October 2024)

23/10/2024: Tasty and inexpensive We were guests at the Sparber restaurant twice. The food was tasty and inexpensive. The service was also very attentive and friendly. We'll go again next year.

18/10/2024: Probably the best pizzeria in Dorf Tirol. Apart from the good taste, the pizzas are visually very nicely topped. Since the pizzeria is located just outside the village center, you can almost always get a seat here. Highly recommended.

30/11/2024: Uno dei pochi posti aperti fuori stagione nella zona di Tirolo. Sono arrivato distrutto dopo 5 ore di cammino in salita . L' ora di pranzo era già passata da un po ' , ma la signora era lì presente , visto que vive "in loco " . Un buon goulash con canederlo e quarto di vino rosso per rifoccillare il viandante (a buon prezzo) . Un' oasi nel bosco , con cucina su stufa a legna e una sala da pranzo che ti porta indietro nel tempo.

24/11/2024: It feels like going back to the 60s, I can say this positively, it reminds me of my childhood. The place is an old stube, the waiter is a very kind gentleman, the food is obviously very good local cuisine, I forgot you can only get there on foot in an hour or so, you basically have a nice day, I would say excellent.

22/12/2024: We are there for one night on the Meraner Höhenweg at the end of October. It was by far the most expensive hut we visited. The rooms were clean, but very old. The staff wasn't particularly friendly. The breakfast selection was very manageable. The view from the balcony was very nice, but not worth the extra charge.

27/10/2024: As a family we were guests at the Tiroler Kreuz Hotel from Saturday to Saturday. The arrival, even at 8 p.m. in the evening, was super friendly from the host himself. The apartment was beautifully prepared with a beautiful large balcony, its own kitchenette, a sofa bed for the child, a double bed behind a sliding door and a bathroom that can be accessed from two sides (a small drawback). However, for women with long hair, the hairdryer doesn't have too much oomph) and is equipped with a bathtub. The view of the village was an absolute dream both at night and during the day. The breakfast buffet with tea & coffee, various rolls and a variety of cold cuts was wonderful and if something was missing, everything was replenished. Ms. Fischer was particularly attentive to special requests. Thank you very much for that. A massage from her and a visit to the sauna were also very relaxing. The pool was absolutely right for my daughter (11) and suitable for relaxation. The girls from the cleaning were absolutely there and also on site after consultation. The bus stop right in front of the front door makes getting from A to B much easier. And with the ticket, it's absolutely great for the duration of the trip. All in all, we were super satisfied and are already planning our next vacation there.

24/10/2024: A hotel located on Bergstrasse. Good parking options. Good viewing platform. The whole thing is owner-run, very tastefully designed and it's fun to stay overnight here. The prices are fair and the food is excellent. An absolute recommendation.

16/12/2024: Stopped off during a hike on the Meraner Höhenweg. Food great, freshly prepared, service great. Prices are reasonable and the view is magnificent.

11/12/2024: We had dinner there on three evenings in early November. No matter what dish, pizza, spare ribs or pasta... everything is a dream. The owner couple are perfect hosts. You come as a stranger and feel like you are with friends. We got a lot of tips for the region. Anyone who is a guest in Dorf Tirol should have eaten here. We'll be back

03/11/2024: Schönes Restaurant mit sehr netten Wirtsleuten. Haben auch zu später Stunde noch einen Tisch bekommen. Leckere Tagliatelle und Garganelle gegessen. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt 😍

05/10/2024: A paradise in the middle of grape vines and apple orchards. Breakfast buffet with a large selection. Dinner with 2 menus to choose from. First there is a rich salad buffet, a home-made starter by Mrs Waibl and team, an excellent soup and, at the end, a delicious dessert. Friendly, organized team. Beautiful and very clean rooms, all with amazing views. Thank you very much. We'd love to come back.

08/01/2025: Bar accogliente! Abbiamo preso un succo di mela e un ottimo strudel. Vicino c'è anche un comodo panificio. Bagni puliti. Una comoda sosta per chi vuole vedere i castelli del tirolo.

21/11/2024: Sehr gute Steinofenpizza! Wir haben das Glück, hier am Ort einige Tage Urlaub zu machen und konnten daher schon einige probieren. Absolut lecker! Auch die Hausweine, Weißburgunder und Edel-Vernatsch (rot), sind gut. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt. Nicht zu vergessen die stets freundliche Bedienung. Wiederholungsgefahr: 100 Prozent
