22/07/2024: We went to this restaurant on the first day of our stay in Selva on the advice of the owner of the hotel where we were staying, the place is very nice, the table is nice, well-kept, minimal. I disagree about charging €2.50 cover charge for the nice placemat for goodness sake but they seem excessive to me but it's my point of view. As for the food, nothing to say, all very good. Apple pancakes with vanilla sauce top. The price is perhaps a little high for the portion they bring you but you pay for the quality.

12/07/2024: PRICES FROM A STARRED RESTAURANT AND A BAD EXPERIENCE I respond to your reply point by point: 1) I have been going to starred restaurants for years. 2) I complained about the (cold) welcome and not about not having had priority (but then what does the fact that you thought I was part of another group have to do with it?) 3) We kindly asked the menu next to us (who didn't even look up, how polite!!) who had finished ordering and placed it on the bench. 4) I know the area because I have been frequenting it for many years and I have never felt so uncomfortable as in your restaurant 5) The comment from the neighbors at the table is out of place, just as the fact that you reported it in this review is very serious 6) You and the couple who were at our side will be frustrated 7) Grammatical tip: write “has commented”, with the h. Having entered the restaurant around 12, I ask to book a table for 12.30 to have time to change at the hotel. The waiter looks at me as if he had seen a stray dog ​​come in and with poorly concealed annoyance takes my reservation. Evidently if you are not from the area but come from central Italy you are not good. I return with my partner around 12.30, we sit down and ask to order. The waiter (always the same and with a funeral face) takes the order with the same enthusiasm with which one goes for a colonoscopy. The dishes arrive but they are wrong. We had ordered 2 and he managed to get one wrong (it wasn't easy but he managed it). In practice we had ordered gnocchi on cheese fondue and we received 2 (two in number) gnocchi at a cost of €17 each. €8.5 per dumpling!!! Delicious for goodness' sake but we ask to have the menu to order something else (we were starting to feel hungry) but yet another look of annoyance from the waiter made us lean towards the bill. Result: €48 for 2 (two) gnocchi (exactly 2 each), a half mineral glass and a draft beer. When we got home we made ourselves a nice sandwich with speck and cheese. To never again.

13/02/2024: I returned after being there for the Christmas holidays. And the quality of service and courtesy is always synonymous with great passion for one's work. Hospitality and availability, and quality products. A few steps from the Ciampinoi cable car, and easily reachable on foot if you park in the paid parking areas. It is located on the ground floor with small access steps. I will definitely return

13/08/2024: Delusione totale.. è un locale rinnovato cresciuti in prosopopea e inadeguatezza e diminuito in qualità..Locale ristrutturato nn è più il tipico locale montano ma un moderno locale in legno un po' in serie anche se carino ..però nn ci siamo

13/08/2024: Siamo stati anni fa in quello che era un grazioso ristorante tipico, gestito da una signora molto gentile e affabile. Ritornati adesso , a distanza di qualche anno, di quei bei ricordi non è rimasto niente. Non basta ristrutturare un locale, peraltro con determinati canoni in cui si assomigliano tutti, per offrire una buona ristorazione. Cibo veramente scadente, per lo più insipido nella sua essenza, esperienza da evitare. Gran peccato, rinnovare la veste non basta.

21/08/2024: Baita meravigliosa!! Gli interni in legno e la cura dell'arredamento affascinano e preparano ad un pranzo tipico tirolese. tagliere di salumi e formaggi, spatzle tutto ottimo!! piacevolissimo lo spazio fuori, con giochi per bambini e sdraio per riposare al sole. torneremo!

16/08/2024: Bellissimo locale all’inizio della Vallunga, un contesto davvero da favola. Oltre a quello che la natura ha donato al luogo, da Ciampac si trovano altre piccole cose che lo rendono un luogo perfetto per trascorrere del tempo, soprattutto se si hanno dei bambini. Il prato attorno, che definirei all’inglese da quanto è ordinato, è pieno di piccole attrazioni per bambini, che possono giocare liberamente mentre i genitori possono rilassarsi al sole usufruendo delle sdraio messe a disposizione gratuitamente. Noi abbiamo pranzato due giorni di fila, provando piatti diversi tra quelli della tradizione proposti in menù (che tuttavia presenta qualche contaminazione più turistica). Per i bambini, oltre ad un menù dedicato ed a piccole e gradite attenzioni nell’apparecchiare la tavola, c’è anche un angolo per preparare da soli le pappe. I prezzi forse sono più alti rispetto quelli di un classico rifugio, ma Ciampac ha un livello di offerta che non può nemmeno essere paragonato. Non do il voto massimo solo perché il locale risulta molto caotico e la gestione delle prenotazioni è, diciamo, particolare, ma il posto merita davvero una visita.

28/08/2024: Always nice to come here. Children are having fun on the lawn. The dogs too. The adults relax. The view of the panorama is fantastic. The bathrooms are new and very clean. At the Take & away there is always a long queue, while at the restaurant without a reservation you absolutely cannot find a place. The downside is the car parks at Passo Sella which are few and have high prices per day if you arrive early otherwise you won't find a space. If you go up by cable car for convenience you have to take into account that the costs are much higher.

27/08/2024: Da molti anni vado in vacanza in montagna facendo ogni giorno escursioni diverse in moltissimi rifugi e mai mi era capitata una situazione del genere. Io e la mia famiglia oggi ci siamo recati al Comici con in programma un pic nic nella meravigliosa coenice in cui si trova...purtroppo all'ora di pranzo improvvisamente e nonostante il meteo avesse previsto pioggia solo alle 16 ha incominciato a diluviare ed ecco la triste e incresciosa scoperta...non ti facevano entrare nonostante i bambini e nonostante la pioggia a meno che tu non decidessi di pranzare....e l'unico posto in cui potersi riparare erano i bagni...e come noi tantissimi altre famiglie con bambini e anziani costretti ad accalcarsi sotto ai cornicioni della struttura senza alcuna possibilità di un riparo...costretti a mangiare tutti appicicati con un cane che stava per rubare un panino dalle mani di un bambino. Completamente perso lo spirito del rifugio di montagna, nato per dare riparo e un po' di riposo agli escursionisti in difficoltà. Che tristezza

19/08/2024: I love giving nice reviews but this time I feel cheated and I just can't! Walking through str Mëisules in Selva Val Gardena I saw this place and seeing great wine labels and not having planned anything we went in! Not being very hungry I ordered a mixed salad and a venison carpaccio! I honestly couldn't believe my eyes at the mixed salad. It seemed like something left over from the other dishes and brought back to the table. I don't like doing certain things but I called the table boy and pointed it out. The waiter was certainly embarrassed and apologetically took away my salad and brought another one, this time not mixed but just lettuce! The venison carpaccio was very dark placed on the bed of old ruined rocket like the same as the salad brought back. The poured glass of wine did not reach the curve of the glass! My wife ordered a leg (the only passable thing) accompanied by polenta which was also embarrassing! In all this, the waiter was cleaning the table in front, throwing crumbs from customers who had left on the floor! No this is not possible! And considering that being on social media requires maximum transparency, I feel the duty to communicate this situation to all readers! Maybe I would ask for an apology from the managers, justifying such treatment only with serious problems in the kitchen, with the lack of a chef! The professionalism and seriousness of the operators of Val Gardena cannot be confused with what this place has offered to the undersigned. It may be a sporadic case but I'll tell you about mine. And in short, the bill of €70.50 is not exactly a gift! Considering that we drank my wife water and myself a glass of wine! You can't treat a customer like that!

12/08/2024: First time in this place well known in Selva for fish. Ate very good fish dishes and a good pizza. Good service even if apparently in trouble. However, all the waiters were very kind and friendly. Small observation on the decidedly very high prices compared to the type of context and the quality of the dishes.

30/08/2024: Das Essen war gut. Aber so unfreundlich sind wir noch nie behandelt worden. Die Bedienungen waren einfach nur genervt. Beim Aufnehmen vom Essen haben wir uns zum Schluss noch für eine Vorspeise entschieden. Genervter Kommentar: “jetzt darf ich alles nochmal eingeben“ Kleine Portion Lasagne war auch nicht möglich, obwohl diese als portioniertes Stück auf einen Teller serviert wurde. Richtig patzig wurde es dann zum Schluss, als wir keine Nachspeise mehr bestellen wollten. Wir haben uns richtig unwohl und nicht willkommen gefühlt

10/08/2024: There are few hotels that evoke emotions that last long after you arrive home. And Hotel Maciaconi is one of them. At first I was slightly nervous because of some of the dissatisfied visitors here in the reviews. Immediately upon arrival those fears dissipated. I was greeted by extremely friendly receptionist who even called me before my arrival to see I will be in time for dinner. Subsequently, due to my very late arrival, he prepared refreshments for me, which were delicious. Even for the rest of my stay he was very pleasant and helpful and arranged everything I needed. And the staff is what makes this hotel special. Not just the receptionist, but the bartender, the absolutely great and friendly guys in the kitchen and their super beautiful lady colleague who just makes you look forward to the dinner. And the food? Excellent, like in the best restaurants. I definitely recommend dining here. Room was spacious and beautiful with modern TV, great pool with perfect temperature. I was sorry I didn't enjoy anything because of my daily bike ride. Weaknesses? For this price cattegory I'm used to a wider choice of food at breakfast (I especially missed the sausage, for example) and maybe better room amenities (water, hygiene items, etc.) But these are just small things to improve. I will definitely return to this hotel again, maybe later this year if it is available. Thank you

19/07/2024: Due to an upgrade, we ended up in this expensive hotel... because we were able to maintain our prices, we were able to enjoy a luxurious suite cheaply. Very tasty meal. Perfect location to start hikes in the Dolomites.
