Hotel Niedermair In Parcines

From the moment we walked in, we felt that rare kind of calm that only comes when a place has been designed with genuine intention. The hotel is elegant without being showy, luxurious without being loud. Whoever designed it clearly has a deep respect for the natural surroundings, and it shows in every detail, the quality of the materials, the restrained palette, the warm yet understated Scandinavian aesthetic that lets the landscape do the talking. Our room had a beautiful scent, and even though we chose a back facing room (air conditioning was a priority for us), the view was still lush and green and wonderfully calming. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the linens soft, the lighting thoughtful, and the spacious shower had everything you could want. Breakfast was excellent. The four-course dinner was nice, quality ingredients, beautifully prepared, and served with attentive, polished service. We usually love hunting down Michelin-starred restaurants in the area, but this time we decided to simply stay put, it’s not a Michelin level, but for the price it’s very generous and relaxing. The spa is a dream. Spotlessly clean, designed in the same calm Scandinavian spirit as the rest of the hotel - elegant but still warm. I had a massage there which was nice. The surrounding nature is breathtaking. We cycled around the area and hiked to a nearby waterfall - about 90 minutes each way, not particularly hard, but the scenery is stunning and the waterfall itself is absolutely magnificent. Highly recommend making the effort. There's also a wonderful gym and charming reading nooks throughout the hotel. And because it's a boutique property, the guest count stays intimate, which means the atmosphere of genuine tranquility never breaks. The Merano area has many wonderful places to stay - but this one is outstanding.

June 2026 Throughout the entire house, you can feel the connection to nature. Whether in the architecture, design, rooms, cuisine, spa area, or garden, everything is impeccably clean, well-maintained, tastefully decorated, and designed with meticulous attention to detail. This creates a wonderful ambiance and a pleasant atmosphere. The friendliness of the family and the entire team also contributes to this. We spent a wonderful week here. The hotel is situated on a hill overlooking Partschins and is easily accessible by car. We had a room in the older building, which was simple but lovely. The furnishings were functional, and everything was very clean. The beds were excellent. The hotel has a family atmosphere. The owners were always available. They accommodated special requests, which was fantastic. The newer building is beautiful and offers a dining room and a terrace with incredible views. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, and the dinners are very varied and of a high standard. The spa area isn't huge, but it's beautiful. We enjoyed a wonderful sauna infusion. The spa is complemented by two swimming pools, a large whirlpool, and a spacious sunbathing lawn. There's also a gym and massage services. We particularly appreciated the interaction with other guests and the child-friendly atmosphere. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and relaxed. The hotel recommends and offers interesting hikes. The hotel's surroundings are extremely peaceful. Merano is accessible via a hiking trail. The valley offers many hiking options. There's still so much for us to discover here. We will definitely be back.

A fantastic hotel above Partschins with sweeping views across the valley. The rooms in the new wing are beautiful, and there's a spacious new wellness area for adults with three saunas, a whirlpool, and spa treatments. There's also a slightly older but still good pool area for everyone (including children). All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the cleanliness is impeccable, and the food is very good with just a little room for improvement – ​​the courses from the kitchen are superb, and perhaps a bit more variety at breakfast (it's already good, but could be more diverse) and at the salad bar would elevate the overall good impression to excellent. ☺️

Our stay at Nature Retreat Niedermair was simply wonderful. The beautiful, tranquil location amidst nature immediately creates a sense of relaxation and a truly special atmosphere – the perfect place to completely unwind. A huge thank you goes to the warm and welcoming Kuen family – especially Cäcilia and Sebastian. You can immediately feel the passion, warmth, and attention to detail that goes into running the place. The hospitality is exceptional – you feel warmly welcomed from the very first moment. The culinary experience was also a highlight: The food is outstanding, with a strong emphasis on regional and high-quality ingredients – every dish is a delight. The spa area is lovely, peaceful, and perfect for relaxation. A truly wonderful place with so much warmth – we'd love to come back!

It was my first time on vacation alone, and I was a little apprehensive. But this hotel, with its friendly staff, made it so easy. Arrive, relax, and unwind. Great location (hikes can be started directly from the hotel, among blossoming apple trees), delicious food, and excellent service. Everything is newly renovated in beautiful natural colors. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Niedermair Nature Retreat is a truly enchanting panoramic hotel in Partschins, very close to Merano in South Tyrol. The Kuen family runs their nature hotel with so much love and heart. Professional, warm, and personal. We feel incredibly comfortable there every time 🙏🏻 The new Nature double rooms are simply wonderful. Natural, tasteful, with cozy, simple fabrics and solid wood, super comfortable beds, and a beautiful balcony with panoramic views of the Vinschgau Valley. The food is divine. The extensive breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired. My highlight – the crisp vegetables for freshly squeezed juice to start the day 😍 Dinner with a large salad buffet to accompany the delicious menu is superb. The service is excellent. Thank you, dear Patricia 🙏🏻 Another highlight was the complimentary breathwork session with Dominik Neth and the invitation from the Kuen family for a relaxing aperitif before dinner ✨️ 🌟 The spa area is beautiful, stylish, and cozy, with a special highlight being the saltwater whirlpool. 🌟 The yoga room in the garden is lovely and offers guided yoga sessions with Barbara. 🌟 It's the perfect starting point for hikes on the beautiful irrigation canal paths (Waalwege) of South Tyrol or to Merano – think Tappeiner Trail. 🌟 The South Tyrol Guest Pass is included, making it ideal for a car-free vacation. 🌟 The hotel's own underground parking garage is a great feature. We spent four nights at Hotel Niedermaier and had a wonderful stay. The location and the view are simply superb – perfect for relaxing. The food was excellent and even exceeded our expectations. We would especially like to highlight the friendliness of the family and all the staff – you immediately feel welcome. The sauna and wellness area is also beautifully designed and invites you to unwind. We would love to come back!

Room 209 was simply perfect… and it smells wonderfully of Swiss pine… and has a huge bathroom…
