16/05/2025: Disappointing Service Despite a Beautiful Terrace This morning we went to the Seehotel Sparer on Lake Montiggler to have coffee on the beautiful terrace. Although only about 4-5 tables were occupied at 9:45 a.m., we had a hard time finding a clean spot – most of the tables had been cleared but were still visibly dirty. We sat down anyway and waited – but no one came. After about 15 minutes, I went to the bar to order directly. A lady told me she would be right there. Another 10 minutes passed without anything happening. When I went back to the bar, the same lady (with a foreign accent) told me I could serve myself. When I asked why she hadn't mentioned it right away, she said she had to bring egg dishes to other guests and was busy. I fully understand that hot dishes like egg dishes need to be served quickly – but a quick reminder would have been enough, and we would have just moved on. Instead, she said we could go to the neighboring café, where we could also get a coffee. I politely replied that that was a good idea – but they could have told us that half an hour ago. We actually went to the neighboring café and were greeted very warmly – our latte macchiato was served quickly and with a smile. Conclusion: The place is beautiful, but the service at the Seehotel Sparer unfortunately disappointed us.

07/05/2025: Wow - an evening of perfection. We found our way to the wine shop in the pouring rain, were warmly welcomed by the boss and got a great seat. The service leaves nothing to be desired - attentive and to the point, without being even remotely stiff. The food and wine recommendations are in no way inferior. My husband is not allowed to eat pork for health reasons and the ham was omitted from his starter choice. Great! Even the morning after, we are still completely inspired by the wonderful evening and this culinary and human experience. We are already looking forward to the next time.

16/10/2024: A great option to stop and replenish carbohydrates when it's siesta in all restaurants. Nice view, everyone will find something for themselves in the menu, these are not top-class dishes but still quite tasty.

23/05/2025: The hotel is beautifully and quietly located – perfect for relaxing. The outdoor area with its well-kept garden and pool is a real highlight. The whirlpool in the room was also a great extra and made our stay very pleasant. An important point for us was the vegan food. We had inquired in advance by phone and email whether vegan meals were possible – which was confirmed, but without any substitutes. On the first evening, we were simply guided through the regular menu to see what could be omitted. This was a bit disappointing, as it was more about omissions than creative replacements or adaptations. After a conversation with the team, things improved – they made an effort, and even started using substitutes. Nevertheless, you can tell that the kitchen isn't specialized in vegan food. The dishes seemed rather improvised and couldn't compete with the regular dishes in terms of taste. For example, the tofu preparation wasn't particularly successful. Conclusion: Unfortunately, dinner here is not (yet) recommended for vegans. However, if you don't have any special requirements for dinner, or book without dinner, you can have a nice stay here.

15/05/2025: A gem nestled among the vineyards. Our room was beautifully furnished, with a whirlpool on the balcony. The food was particularly outstanding. The breakfast was also fantastic. We felt completely at home and would gladly return.

16/05/2025: Very good restaurant, service more than attentive. We even went there twice. The pizza and pasta were delicious. The outdoor seating in the courtyard was great. We'd be happy to return.

14/05/2025: I ate here two days in a row and had a very good Quattro Stagione pizza and an excellent shepherd's pasta. The service was excellent. I can only give it a 100% recommendation. I will definitely be back.

13/05/2025: We arrived in 2 without a reservation, the very kind owner made us sit at a table reserved by others an hour after our arrival. After 7 minutes from our order the pizzas arrived, for those who love Neapolitan pizza with a crust you will find it. Flavor and quality ingredients, unfortunately, but it is my limit I prefer pizza without. Anyway friendly and efficient!💪

21/05/2025: The two of us stayed at the Schloss Hotel Korb from Sunday to Wednesday. The first impression was good, but the room was a bit dated. Upon entering, we could hear the toilet running, and the rain shower wasn't working. Otherwise, everything was clean and tidy. The common rooms are also overflowing with decorative items and are partly dusty and run-down. The hotel is definitely in need of renovation in many areas. The location is outstanding, and the view over Bolzano speaks for itself. A beautifully landscaped outdoor area with an infinity pool and sauna in front of the vineyards is inviting and impressive. The service is very inconsistent and dependent on the individual. From long wait times to inattentiveness and ignorance, we unfortunately had mostly negative experiences with the service. All in all, the stay was fine, but we wouldn't come back under these circumstances.

Whether Margherita or pizza with South Tyrolean speck – each one tastes like it came from a stone oven in Italy. The other dishes on the menu, from pasta to meat, are also of high quality and freshly prepared. The whole experience is particularly enjoyable in the cozy beer garden, which is a true gem in summer. Surrounded by old trees and flowers, you can sit quietly and relaxed – ideal for dinner on balmy evenings or a lunch in the shade. Families with children also feel at home here. The service is always friendly, attentive, and pleasantly unobtrusive. You can feel that a well-coordinated team is at work here. The atmosphere is relaxed yet sophisticated – perfect for a relaxing evening with friends, family, or just the two of you. Conclusion: The Eppanerhof is more than just a restaurant – it's a place where you can feel at home. Whether it's pizza, a beer garden, or a glass of wine in the evening, everything is just right here. Five stars from the bottom of our hearts!
