We very much liked the food, and I got to know an amazing red wine (Lagrein Gries from Kellerei Bozen). But we were not happy with the table/seats we were getting, whilst there were plenty of other cosy options. It felt as if other visitors were privileged. The seafood dish as a shared starter was one of the best things we ate during our holiday in Eppan. Simply great!

A heartwarming welcome, perfect for a special dinner with friends 🌟 We were greeted with a truly rare warmth and kindness by the owner: she immediately made us feel at home, with sincere smiles and a constant availability that made the evening even more beautiful. The atmosphere is refined and elegant, yet warm and welcoming. The menu is simple but well-executed. There are several tables outside, and on nice evenings, it's divine. The service was a bit slow and not always attentive, considering the quality of the place. The wines were excellent (after all, it started out as a wine bar, and it shows!), and the tartare was also very good. I would, however, reconsider the accompanying bread: it was toasted sandwich bread, not quite in keeping with the rest of the menu. The desserts are well-made and very Instagrammable, just like the entrance with its beautiful rope swing decorated with flowers. I definitely recommend it for a special occasion, thanks to the truly pleasant atmosphere and that warm welcome that stays in your heart. ❤️

Beautiful location, very cozy, excellent service and very tasty food.

The food was quite good, but very expensive for what it tasted like. Music was blaring the whole time. They turned it down for five minutes when we asked, and then turned it up again. Unfortunately, there was no welcome or orientation. We just stood around like lost souls – everyone felt the same way. We waited ages for the dessert menu and then for the dessert itself. The courtyard was lovely, but afterwards I was covered in mosquitoes.

Exclusive ambiance. Beautiful courtyard, beautiful restaurant interior, super friendly hostess, excellent wine list. The menu changes regularly; we've been there several times and there's always something new to taste. The waitress is exceptional. She was always incredibly friendly, did her job perfectly, and was always up for a joke. Unfortunately, the waiter we had this time was a bit off his game. He simply made three or four mistakes too many to warrant a five-star rating. We'll definitely be back, though, and if things improve next time, we'll adjust the rating. This restaurant is one of the best on the Wine Route. We were there again last week (June 2026), again with new menus, and the food was once again delicious and beautifully presented. The service was better this time. However, the wine prices on the menu never match the prices at the winery, as they tell you. For example, none of the three white Lafoas cost anywhere near €51 at the Schreckbichl winery.

Very nice place, although the menu was short, I found excellent quality. They served me a very tender guinea fowl! Congratulations!!!!

A charming place. The food is prepared with care and attention, and once you taste it, you realize the quality; the tartare is superb. The wines are numerous and all top-quality. Excellent service with very efficient staff. A must-try.

Our first time at Pillhof. We arrived with the idea of ​​an aperitif, two glasses of white wine (Prosecco for my husband, Kerner for me) and a focaccia. Excellent quality, perfect selection of ingredients, courteous and elegant service without ever being intrusive. We decided to have dinner: Acquerello risotto for me (an explosion of perfectly balanced flavors, I love risottos and this one deserves top marks). Eggplant ravioli for my husband: well-defined and distinct flavors, perfectly cooked pasta, creamy sauces, and a special mention for the arugula pesto. Last but not least: ricotta parcel on a strawberry sauce with mint-infused oil and tonka bean ice cream. We sat down knowing we were going to make a pleasant discovery, but the reality far surpassed our imagination. Thanks to Kathrin and her team.

One of the most beautiful restaurants on the Wine Route! Everything is just right here, from the ambiance and service to the excellent food!
