21/03/2026: Saturday night was ruined. I'd called to reserve days in advance and was told there was only one table left. Unfortunately, no one had specified that all the other tables would be occupied by a private party. This obviously wouldn't have been a problem if the guests had been in a separate room or at a table, but we found ourselves dining with loud music blasting from the small room behind us (with the door open) and about twenty people standing in front of our table in the bar area, drinking and making noise for the entire dinner. It would have been appropriate to specify the presence of the private party when booking, given that during our "romantic" dinner, we couldn't even speak across the table. Furthermore, the prices were high for rather meager portions (an €18 platter for a few slices of cured meat, some cheese, and two crostini; a second course of first courses cost €18 per person for less than half a portion per dish—the ravioli were good, but only three) and had a few flaws (pasta with liver killer described as "slightly spicy," which my husband, who loves spicy food, struggled to eat, and roasted onions smothered in oil and with fennel that wasn't listed on the menu). We paid €74 for an appetizer, two first courses, and two side dishes, only to end up ordering two takeout pizzas 10 minutes later because we were still hungry and hadn't been satisfied. The desserts might have been good, but just the thought of staying in there for another two minutes was a turn-off. The icing on the cake: Given the number of people in the restaurant, I asked for the bill at the table, but was told I had to go to the cashier, where I literally had to slalom through the crowd to get to the table. A nightmare right up until the end.

20/01/2026: Osteria 101 is a welcoming, characterful place. It offers traditional dishes enhanced with a personal flair that's so effective that they become innovative, simply and effortlessly. I had the cabbage soup, the beef stew with apples, and the paprika chicken. Each dish had an authentic flavor, reminiscent of old family recipes, but with a touch of professional flair. The restaurant is run by young people with a strong desire to do things right. And they succeed with flying colors.

22/02/2026: Strategic location next to the slopes. Exceptional, super helpful staff. The food is excellent, with several of their dishes standing out, including the best: suckling pig in a bread crust. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and extremely clean. A great place to eat and stay.

29/01/2026: We had four simple hot chocolates, good, the person at the counter was kind and helpful, when we arrived we had initially taken a seat at a rather narrow table in a corner, which was probably suitable for two people and instead we were four, since the next table for four people had two chairs with jackets placed on them, he came and moved the jackets that were occupying the space, and made us sit there, it was a thoughtfulness that we appreciated.

11/01/2026: A charming spot near Mount Amiata. A 3-star hotel with 5-star hospitality. The location is fantastic for enjoying the outdoor activities offered on Mount Amiata as well as visiting the various villages of the Val d'Orcia. The rooms are simple but very well maintained; nothing is lacking, and the space is very well utilized. The bathrooms are all new and of high quality (Grohe), and the showers have an enviable water flow. The breakfasts are very varied, with continental and Mediterranean options, and the homemade cakes and pastries are exquisite, something not easily found in hotels. The dinners are of very high quality, with varied and carefully prepared recipes using local ingredients, offering excellent value for money. The cuisine is 5-star, as is the helpfulness of the staff, who are always smiling, friendly, and ready to lend a hand. Another special mention goes to the impeccable cleanliness of the entire establishment. Highly recommended, a must-see for anyone in the area or looking to spend a few summer days away from the sweltering city heat. Congratulations!

04/10/2025: I didn't expect to find Chinese food in such a small town. I hadn't had Chinese food in ages, and I was so moved I cried. The fried rice was perfectly cooked, and they had Japanese dishes, along with Chinese, and the ingredients were all very fresh. The owner's daughter was so kind. Knowing we had car trouble, she stayed open late to let us rest. Good people have a happy life! I wish the owner and his family continued success!

08/02/2026: We had lunch today and had a wonderful time. The welcome was warm and the service impeccable; the food was delicious, with generous portions and reasonable prices. We chose the house specialties: Crostone with porcini mushrooms, mozzarella, and pancetta, Truffle-flavored pici with Pienza pecorino cheese, Pappardelle with white Chianina beef ragù, Sweet and sour red cabbage, Chocolate mousse. Panna cotta We also received helpful local tips. We highly recommend it and plan to return when we're in the area again.

05/04/2026: We ordered two takeout pizzas and were told they'd be ready in 15 minutes. The pizzas were ready after half an hour, even though the place wasn't crowded. The pizzas looked more than average, they weren't even round, and the dough was unevenly rolled out and in some places raw. We asked for the mozzarella to be removed from one, but the tomato sauce was removed, leaving the mozzarella. Furthermore, the pizza was dry and burnt. The other, however, was SUPER salty and barely topped. We know mistakes happen, but there were just too many oversights here!
