We spent two days in Amiata and had both lunch and dinner at this restaurant, also known as Trattoria di Mezza Montagna. It was a perfect choice in every sense: quality, price, and above all, courtesy. We will definitely return.

12/11/2025: This restaurant is located near Abadia S. Salvatore (about 2 km away) in the province of Siena. It appears to be family-run. I ordered a main course and a side dish, and I also sampled a friend's first course. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended.

19/10/2025: One of the most beautiful discoveries of my life...
Taking advantage of the beauty of autumn in the wonderful Amiata, we stopped in this idyllic place by chance. It couldn't have been a better choice!!!
The entrance doormat alone had convinced me, a Hollywood-style setting. Mattia, the "host," welcomed us with a smile for an evening that will remain unforgettable.
With all the calm, kindness, and verve on this planet (it's increasingly rare to find such hospitality), Mattia explained the dishes and helped us choose, accommodating even the most difficult requests.
The quality of the dishes was excellent, the price truly fair.
I rarely write reviews, but this place, in that context, deserves a poem!!!

19/10/2025: Returned a few years later for a birthday, and Mattia and his staff were always the same kind. Pici with hazelnuts and cocoa were sublime, as were excellent main courses, and the snails were amazing.
A quiet and relaxed atmosphere for lunch in the beech forest.

15/10/2025: I visited because I was craving seafood, but unfortunately, they didn’t have any that day, so I ordered the ragu pasta instead. It turned out to be the best-seasoned pasta I’ve had during my trip in Italy — perfectly salted and really delicious. The fried calamari was also incredibly tender and tasty. The prices were reasonable, and even the bread served before the meal was great 👍
When I entered, he guided me to a seat near the restroom and asked where I was from — then immediately said “China?”, which made me a bit unsure at first. But he was attentive throughout the entire meal, checking in occasionally to see if I needed anything. In the end, I was very satisfied. Highly recommended!

04/10/2025: I didn't expect to find Chinese food in such a small town. I hadn't had Chinese food in ages, and I was so moved I cried. The fried rice was perfectly cooked, and they had Japanese dishes, along with Chinese, and the ingredients were all very fresh. The owner's daughter was so kind. Knowing we had car trouble, she stayed open late to let us rest. Good people have a happy life! I wish the owner and his family continued success!
14/09/2025: Not the classic all-you-can-eat sushi, in fact you can taste the difference... Everything is really good... it's now a regular stop.

08/11/2025: A very well-kept, welcoming place, with qualified and extremely friendly staff. Excellent, plentiful dishes. Prices are more than fair. We live far away, but when we're in the area, it's a regular stop. It's definitely worth it.
12/10/2025: Two and a half hours to eat an appetizer, two first courses, and a second course!
Slow service, we were left as if we didn't exist. We didn't even see the waiters, they were so rude! We had to call them to have our plates taken away! People who came after us were served first! I won't be going back!
